The document outlines the course requirements for an A2 Media Studies class, which includes representing the working class in various media formats like film reviews, documentaries, articles, and radio ads. Students will analyze representations of the working class in the film "Pride" and discuss theories of representation, mediation, and ideology. They will write a 2-hour paper and have the option to participate in an extended media project for an additional qualification. As a preliminary task, students created a radio film review of "Pride" analyzing its portrayal of working class lifestyle and incorporating codes and conventions of radio broadcasts. Feedback showed the review would encourage watching the film and had effective editing, convention use, and fitting background music and sound clips.
