How did you attract/address
your audience?
Joel Hunt
• Once we had finished and produced our film,
we had to find out whether it had been
successful with the target audience by asking
them. We did this by asking a large group of
people to watch our finished film and after
they watched it, we asked them to put
forward there opinion, through comments,
about our film. More specifically, the
typography used, the music used and the
overall storyline of the film.
• These are some of the comments that came
up from the viewing audience…
• “The Storyline was extremely easy to follow
and I love the way it creates suspense.”
• “The tension builds brilliantly through the use
of the background music.”
• “I didn’t really like the typography used
throughout the film.”
• “I thought the news broadcast was one of the
best features of the entire film.”
• This was the first time any of us as a group have had
a go at creating a film like the one we have produced
and we know that there are various improvements
that could be made. By talking to the audience, we
have been able to identify those improvements. One
of the things that came up in the comments was to
include more zombies in the woods scene in order to
make the scene more tense and scary for the
audience.
• A second improvement suggested by the
audience was to make Jakes illness more
suspicious by focusing on it more. The
audience didn’t pick up the reason as to why
Jake coughed up the blood and maybe we
should have made this more obvious.
