How my production skills developed throughout the project

1. HOW MY PRODUCTION
SKILLS DEVELOPED
THROUGH THIS PROJECT.

2. 1ST STEP : LEARNING TO USE A BLOG
• For my AS media I had to document my progress through using a blog.
I have never written a blog before so this was very new to
me.
- I learnt how to make new posts, using different fonts
and including videos from YouTube, which I had to
learn as a new skill

3. 2ND STEP: CAMERA WORK
• Before working on this project I hadn't filmed anything on a camera before, therefore I had to learn how
to work the camera , this involved the following=
• I used a CANON 80D camera as this gives the best outcome for the quality of the footage
Whilst using the camera I had to learn new shots and how to film them.
- In my movie I included a few close up shots and long shots, and only one establishing shot.
- To film these shots I had to research the best way to hold the camera in order to get the best outcome
• I also used a Tripod to hold the camera still for the shots- the only time I didn't’t use the
camera was when I was filming the girls running as I wanted it to look like the camera was
running with them, therefore had to be unstable.

5. 3RD STEP: EDITING AND PUTTING THE FILM TOGETHER
• For constructing my film I used the editing software called Final cut pro
-Whilst using the software I developed my
editing skills and learnt a lot more ways to
make my thriller have the odd aspect that
I wanted for it

6. 4TH STEP: COMPOSING THE MUSIC
• To compose my music I used garage band which helped me develop my music editing skills
Before my project I had not composed music
before using any software, therefore this
project helped me learn how to create and
compose my own music.

7. 4TH : EVALUATION PRESENTATION SKILLS
• For my evaluation questions I've had to use screen recording , voice recording, and different software's
such as iMovie, Prezi, and PowerPoint…
I have never used Prezi before and was new to
screen and voice recording, I did the recording
though quick time player which I have also
never used before
