5. logo
• I wanted the logo to still look like a grid whilst also
looking modern and simple like popular media platform
logos. I ended up using a layout for a cube with
individual cubes inside of it. I had a few models of what
it originally looked like and with different blending
modes and more lines, but I eventually settled on a
subtract of colors that made a red and black image and
with two triangles that fuse together to make a simple
cube. I also made an all-white version for the website.

7. layout
• Made a layout for an app for the grid. With a
few prototypes of what would actually be put in
and some that I didn’t put in. The icons I made
include park, search, personal, street, industry,
trending, nearby content and direct messages. I
made an example of what the app may look like
I also have made a website for the grid.

• I made a website with semi functional pages. Ther pages include
home which is the main feed, post for people to add their own
pictures or have conversations with people, search to find other
members of the website and gallery to show off work that I have
made for the website that is linked to a Instagram page with all the
photos on.

17. evaluation
• We decided to split the group up to focus on different aspects and so
one person would do the psycho/demographics secondary research
and another person would do the primary research for it. we decided
to make the logo individually and so one person would make the
design for the logo and then another person made the ident video.
This way of making the pre production things worked well as there
was lots of communication to the team on what we should try and
experiment with based on our ideas. The content that we made was
done individually in the areas that we felt most strong in and so I
made lots of poster like media that would be posted on the website.

18. Content evaluation
• The content I made for The Grid turned out quite good and much
better than I expected. I didn’t really have a specific idea for what I
would make I just saw some interesting posters and adverts in
magazines that inspired me to make things the way I did. I think I
could of planned more on what I wanted to make so that I could of
gotten specific photos instead of having a vague idea and try to
replicate it . I also think I could of gotten more edits if I had a specific
plan for the content. In my FMP I would like to add some art like this
within the zine that I would make
