2. SELECTION OF PHOTOS
• I TOOK A NUMBER OF PHOTOGRAPHS OF
COLLEAGUES, AND UPTON PARK WHICH IS A
STADIUM. I TOOK A RANGE OF PHOTOS AND CHOSE
THE ONES I THOUGHT WOULD WORK BEST. THIS IS
HELPFUL AS SOME OF THE PICTURES DID NOT LOOK
GOOD ENOUGH FOR THE MAGAZINE. I ALSO TOOK
PHOTOS OF MY FRIEND WHILST HE WAS PLAYING
FOOTBALL, TAKING PICTURES MADE ME GO TO A
NUMBER OF LOCATIONS.
3. SOURCING AND IMPORTING
• I HAD A CHOICE OF USING ADOBE INDESIGN OR
PHOTOSHOP, AND I CHOSE TO USE INDESIGN AS IT
WAS MUCH MORE EASIER AND I ALREADY HAD THE
LAYOUT MADE ON THE SOFTWARE. I USED
PHOTOSHOP TO CUT OUT AN IMAGE AND WRAP IT
AROUND SOME TEXT. IT WAS ALSO BETTER AS THE
TOOLS IT HAD AVAILABLE SUCH AS TEXT WRAPPING,
AND WHEN IT SHOWED THE LAYOUT IT SHOWED
BOXES, IMPLYING HOW BIG MY IMAGES SHOULD BE.
4. EVIDENCE OF IMPORTING
To import I sent the images to my email, then I
logged onto the computer and then saved the files.
For other files I plugged my phone into the
computer with the lead, then I found the files and
dragged them into specific folders on the
computer.
5. EXPERIMENTS OF PHOTOSHOP & INDESIGN
• I TRIED TO USE BOTH SOFTWARE'S, I ONLY WENT WITH INDESIGN AS MY LAYOUT WAS PRODUCED ON THAT
SOFTWARE. I TRIED THE FONTS, WHERE THE IMAGES WILL GO AND ALSO THE PLACING OF THE FONTS AND TEXT,
AND THE AMOUNT OF PAGES THAT WOULD BE IN USE. ON PHOTOSHOP I WOULDN’T BE ABLE TO SET UP A
LAYOUT BUT I WAS ABLE TO CROP OUT IMAGES.
6. EVIDENCE OF FINAL PIECE
This is my magazine finished.
I saved it in its own folder named
journalism, and named it “BPL
Magazine” as it is a review of the
premier league
