When I was planning my E Sting I drew out my ideas, so my first step was to scan each of my storyboards and my picture of the parts that would be moving
during my E Sting into my documents.

I opened up a new document on illustrator then imported my scan of the moving parts. I created a layer with the drawings on, then locked that layer, then
created another layer over the top of that, then used the pen tool to trace around each individual drawing. Which I then saved the images into my documents so
I could later open them in After Effects. I saved each of the drawings under names which clearly stated what they were as it would make editing easier because I
would know exactly what each piece was. Here is the before and after using the pen tool.

Then I opened a new project on After Effects and imported each traced drawing into the project. Here you can see all the individual moving parts that had been
imported.

After all the drawings had been properly imported I placed them into the timeline with each of the pieces on separate layers, which means they could move
freely on their own.

This is when I started editing the e sting properly. I used the position tool on each moving piece to get it to move where I wanted it to, as seen here. This gives
you full control of where you want the piece to move and when you want it to move there.
I then did this with each of the moving pieces, this took me a while to get the hang of but in the end worked out how to use the position tool properly.
So from that point I used the position tool on each of the moving pieces and positioned them when I wanted each piece to come in and go, how I wanted each of
the pieces to move. For example I wanted each of the creatures to move closer to each other and then go under the grass, which is what I used the position tool
to do.

After I had everything perfectly positioned where I wanted it to be and moved how I wanted it to move, which took a while. I was happy with the end result so I
saved the project, rendered out my finished product, then uploaded it to YouTube and finally, embedded the video onto my blog.
