• Facebook is an important social media in the media
industry to help promote certain products including
magazines. It can also be used to focus on the kind
of things the demographic of their magazine would
like and how they can make their magazine appeal
to them more. It can also be used for the artists in
the magazine and engage the audience by creating
a connection between the artist and the reader. This
can also be used to represent themselves the same
way as the people in the demographic to show them
their own private side and create a stronger
connection between them.

also a quick and simple application that
can allow them to keep up to date with
the latest posts and any events the
artist or magazine is doing.

• Twitter is widely used in the media industry by
celebrities and specific brands. This helps them
connect with the audience and help people keep up
to date with new events or promotions as it is an easy
to use app that allows people to publicly post
information about events and opinions.

• I created a Twitter page for my magazine ‘Cloud Nine’
as it helps to promote the magazine to the main
demographic of young people as they are known to
use Twitter a lot.
• Using Twitter for my magazine can help keep the
audience updated on new events or new exclusive
publications that the magazine posts as well as
information on artists and bands that will be in the
magazine and a lot more.

• I decided to go through Instagram and find real life
examples of the type of readers of my demographic
for the magazine and include them. This is helpful to
see peoples genuine interests and see if my magazine
suits the target audience I have aimed at by sharing
the same interests my magazine includes.

media and post regularly as they are technology
driven.
