Introduction/Objective: The team took a proactive approach by developing a strategy and
implementing an effective solution for completing the design project within the established
timeframe. Teaming describes the combining or joint effort in completing a task or working together
in unison to create change, (Edmondson, 2012). As a team, we discussed the requirements for the

As a team, we agreed that this topic, though very controversial, would provide the necessary
elements needed to formulate a design project of interest. The team's ability to think outside the box
and engage in creative thinking allowed us to put our strategy into motion. Framing changes our
direction of thinking by challenging our thought process and redefining the important aspects of
how we perceive a certain situation, (Edmondson, 2012). By the second week of this project, the
team had picked an organization, identified a topic of interest and developed a method of
application. In order to maintain consistency in progress we decided to align areas of interest with
strong points of each member of the team. The team agreed that it would be advantageous to assign
specific responsibilities, based on proficiency and technical skills. By defining these areas, the team
was able to develop a practical approach to completing the project. As we follow our vision we need
to remember to enable others through support and encouragement, (Kouzes and Posner, 2012). This

Summary
As a writer, I think the content that I produce is really strong. My writing is well organized, which
leads to clarity for my readers. My ideas get across to the readers with ease. I use my creativity to
my advantage by adding like and personality to my words. However, I'm not a strong editor. I can't
recognize my own errors. No matter how hard I try, there will always be mechanical errors on my
final product. I believe that I can use blogging as an opportunity to improve my writing. By writing
about content that interest me, I can improve my writing skills in the process. I can learn how to edit
my writing, which will reduce mechanical errors. It will also make me more fun for me to write.
Therefore, I won't have any excuse to say that I'm not interested in writing or that I easily get
distracted.
Strengths
1.Creativity. I tend to think outside of the box. Being creative definitely makes it easier for me to
develop ideas. Developing ideas is the fastest part of my writing process. For some reason, I usually
come up with ideas instantly. Being creativity also helps me add character to my writing. I don't
think that my writing is dry and boring. I think that my writing has a lot of character to it. I make it
interesting and entertaining for the readers to read even if the subject is really dry.

Language and literacy play a large part in in high school science, although that is not always
immediately apparent. High school science builds the foundation for scientific literacy later in life
and throughout college education. In science there are many new discoveries and it is an important

In order to produce an effective and well developed essay that clearly reflected my purpose to a
distinct audience, I maintained a structuralized system throughout the entire process. I made sure to
pay close attention to every step taken and self reflect on whether or not the change was an effective
step closer to my final draft. In fact, I set up a system of comments and revisions for myself, in order
to prioritize development. Not only this, but I also attempted at demonstrating writing techniques
that were reflected in other reading passages discussed in class. Overall, I was able to produce a
final draft of an informative narrative in which I reflected my purpose to a distinct audience. An
important step in developing my essay was my attempt at demonstrating the techniques used by
other authors discussed in class discussions. For example, as I will later mention, I tried to reflect
the technique of Stephen King, in which he explicitly gave a counterargument for an argument that
he expected his readers to have.
Another crucial step in developing my essay was making sure I was aware of the changes I was
making and for what purpose, thus I created a system of commenting on my peers' reviews and my
own reviews in order to best develop my essay. For instance, an important question I was asked on
my first draft was "If our brains are equipped to routine, how can we expect change," which was a
valid question as I soon realized that I had not included a coherent explanation. I 'replied' to her
question directly below the edit and made a note to include a relevant revision. Similar to this case, I
made sure to reflect on each and every edit that I received, especially the ones that proved that I had
not demonstrated my central contention as well as I had hoped.
Such as in this case, peer reviewing was a crucial step in creating my final draft. A large portion of
my revisions revolved around the process of developing my 'argument.' I was not confident that I
had effectively produced an essay that related entirely back to my central contention. Thus, with
every draft, I asked my peers for feedback on what they saw as the central contention and whether

Having a constructivist classroom can mean many different things. Being a teacher with a
constructivist perspective is a different type of teaching style than people are used to.
Constructivism, as I understand it, is a way of teaching that has the students learn through their own
methods. They are to try to find their own style of learning a concept, whether it be in their heads or
with unifix blocks or by drawing pictures. Everyone learns differently and children need to be given
the freedom to explore their learning by themselves. Also, students need to be able to construct their
own meanings and insights without teacher instruction. Having a constructivist classroom would
mean the teacher not giving as much direction as in a traditional classroom. Teachers with this
perspective want their students to be "'mathematizing'" their learning (FD Ch 1.4).
An example of this concept of mathematizing was when in Madeline's classroom. She wanted her
students to understand the concept of counting on instead of starting back at 1 and the idea that
"numbers are nested inside of each other" (FD Ch 1.5). Madeline was having her students count red
and green beads to make a necklace of 22. Some of them understood that if you had 19 beads, then
you only need 3 more to make 22 while others started back at 1 to count to 22 altogether.

An Offensive Ad Displaying A Child As A Sexual Object
My project riposted to an offensive ad displaying a child as a sexual object. The ad I found had
communicated this sense of pedophilia and that it is acceptable; However, I disagreed with that idea.
The message I am trying to convey in my artwork is that pedophilia is not okay. I started with
generating ideas using a words web and asking random people around me what they thought of
when they heard specific words. After I made the web I started to keep an enumeration of ideas that
came to mind for my art project. The list started with multitudes of ideas to include the symbols in
my work and slowly started to become more meticulous and detailed. I started creating ideas such as
a teddy bear clothed as a sexual object and then I thought of the idea of utilizing photography as my
media.
My first idea was to use my film camera to photograph a young girl as if I were stalking her
throughout the day, then take the film and put it on a light table for the audience to view the photos
through a magnifying loop. I really enjoyed the intimacy the viewers would get from being so close
to the small photographs on a lit table, and the idea also really put the audience in the perspective of
the pedophile. Then I realized a ginormous fault in my plan. I was encouraging pedophilia just as
much as the ad was without realizing it. I needed the girl to gain dominance throughout the photo

I have learned. The five outcomes I have learned are rhetorical performance, research process, style
conventions, multimodal design, and reflective interaction. In unit one, the outcome earned was
rhetorical performance. Rhetoric enhances in my paper by adding feelings, credibility, and logic.
The reason we have these concepts is stated in Understanding Rhetoric "we write, converse, debate,
and share ideas," (Losh, Alexander, and Cannon 40) Pathos, is when they use emotion throughout
their debate. I used pathos in my bisexuality research paper by creating a harsh attitude when
discussing the disregarding comments that I was receiving, because I wanted my audience to know
that I was offended during the interview. Another concept we learned is ethos. Ethos is the
credibility from the source you are receiving information from, meaning the trust within talking to
someone, and if they are known to tell the truth, over exaggerate, or if the person is known for
cheating. During my ethnography paper, I used ethos in my paper by talking to the president of the
QUEST, and to me seems like a credible source because if caught lying or being disrespectful, they
could have consequences and they represent the QUEST group. However, I do feel that the member
John Blu was not as credible as interviewing the president. Another term was logos, which is based
off logical statements of reasoning, and I used logos in my paper when talking about bisexualities
and how there are stereotypes that come with being bisexual. In unit two, the outcome that was

ways of gathering information and how to look at the different ways we can interpret information.

My project responds to an offensive ad displaying a child as a sexual object. The ad I found had
communicated this sense of pedophilia and that it is acceptable; However, I disagree with that idea.
The message my artwork sends is that pedophilia is not okay. I started with generating ideas using a
words web and asking random people around me what they thought of when they heard specific
words. After I made the web I started to keep a list of any ideas that came to mind for my art project.
The list started with a lot of ideas of how to include the symbols into my work and slowly started to
become more specific and detailed. I started coming up with ideas such as dressing a teddy bear up
as a sexual object and that be my piece and then I thought of the idea of using photography as my
media.
My first idea was to use my film camera to photograph a young girl as if I were stalking her

cognitively, emotionally, academically, and socially. This period is usually marked from the age
three to age twelve. At this age, it is important for the child to express their independence, make
lasting friendships, and start taking on some responsibility. Along with more independence, children
are developing and experiencing more physical changes, known as puberty. In order to learn from
someone experiencing childhood today, I was able to interview my friend's little brother, C.J.O.
C.J.O. is eleven years old and entering middle school this fall. Our interview was very casual and
relaxed. I went over to their house and we sat in the living room and talked while eating chips and
salsa. I have known C.J.O. for six years now and was very excited for the opportunity to ask him
some deeper questions about his life and hear his point of view. We spent a total of two hours

The ad I found had communicated this sense of pedophilia and that it is acceptable; However, I disagree with that idea. The message my artwork sends is that pedophilia is not okay. I started with generating ideas using a words web and asking random people around me what they thought of when they heard specific words. After I made the web I started to keep a list of any ideas that came to mind for my art project. The list started with a lot of ideas of how to include the symbols into my work and slowly started to become more specific and detailed. I started coming up with ideas such as dressing a teddy bear up as a sexual object and that be my piece and then I thought of the idea of using photography as my media. My first idea was to use my film camera to photograph a young girl as if I were stalking her throughout the day, then take the film and put it on a light table for the audience to view the photos through a magnifying loop. I really enjoyed the intimacy the viewers would get from being so close to the small photographs on a lit table, and the idea also really put the audience in the perspective of the pedophile. Then I realized a ginormous fault in my plan. I was encouraging pedophilia just as much as the ad was without even realizing it.
