Netflix Swot Analysis Essay
Netflix SWOT Analysis
Netflix, the world's leading internet entertainment service, is becoming a common household name. Netflix currently has over 117 million members in
over 190 countries; with the freedom of watching as much as members want, anytime, anywhere, on nearly any internet–connected screen, all without
interruption from advertisements. Even a monopolist giant such as Netflix has room for improvements. Through a SWOT analysis, each of Netflix's
major strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats are analyzed in further detail. As stated in the opening line, one of Netflix's greatest strengths,
is that it is the world's leading internet entertainment service. Since its startup in 1997, Netflix has grown from its initial business model of buying
and renting of DVDs, vastly expanding to become the world's leading video streaming network, while producing original films and television
productions such as Orange is the New Black, House of Cards, and The Crown. Today, Netflix has a strong brand name and image that resonates all
around the world. Also, previously mentioned, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The continued pressure of keeping its competitive advantage to produce original content, means the costs to sustain and grow these productions
continue to rise. "As of the third quarter, Netflix owes $4.89 billion in long–term debt, ... and has added nearly $1.6 billion in debt this year alone"
(MarketWatch). The costs paid for licensing new content far exceeds subscriber membership costs for streaming content. In conjunction with
producing original content, Netflix does not own most of their original programming; the rights to the content usually expire after a year, giving rival
services the ability to show the content. There is a large timeline gap between a movie release date, and the date Netflix acquires the movie and
releases it. These weaknesses reveal aspects that Netflix needs to work

The Electric Telegraph Invented By Samuel Morse
One of the earliest inventions of communication was the electric telegraph invented by Samuel Morse. This device used electrical signals to transmit
messages. The telegraph played a significant role in transmitting messages over long spaces. Its usage was in Law enforcement, army and newspapers.
Even so, anyone could post messages using a telegram via a service. Today, there are roughly three principal methods of measuring the velocity of data
contagion. Baud rate (signaling events per minute), BPS (bits per Sec) and CPS (characters per minute). The fact is, today the baud rate has been
substituted with a more precise unit of measurement.
Telephones are most mutual and are ground in almost every home and organizations. Telephones worked by using a PSTN (Public SwitchedTelephone
Network). This is where copper wires carry an analogue voice signal. Analogue means a device or organization in which the value of a data point
represented by a continuously varying physical quantity which can be quantified. An example is a watch that shows time with hands on a dial rather
than numbers on an LCD screen. In an analogue telephone system, the audio signal is converted into electronic pulses. This creates vibrations in the
handset's speaker that can be picked up by the person listening.
Nevertheless, in a digital telephone. The audio signal is converted into binary format. The binary format consists of groups of 0's and 1's. The audio
signal is 'sampled' thousands of times a second and

The Digital Conversion in Television Essay
The Digital Conversion in Television
Introduction
Television is now in the process of converting from analog to digital technology. The significance of this change is greater than the introduction of
color TV in the 1960's, but more complicated since conversion will require new equipment for all consumers. Unlike color TV,digital television (DTV)
uses a new kind of signal that does not fit within the structure of the old signal. "DTV" refers to a specific standard being implemented in the United
States to carry a television signal in digital form through all stages of its transmission, not just for digital equipment such as video tape recorders and
satellite receivers that have already been used in conjunction with analog ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
HDTV has a specification called 1080i, which is so named because it has 1,080 horizontal lines of resolution transmitted in an interlaced manner, which
means that when the lines of each frame of the video are sent, only the even–numbered lines are sent for one frame, then only the odd–numbered lines
of the next frame. Another HDTV format is 720p, which has 720 horizontal lines, but all lines are progressively sent for each frame. One SDTV
format is 480p (480 progressive horizontal lines).
A DTV signal can carry five channels of digital audio at the level of quality used by compact discs. This accommodates the demand for high–quality,
movie theater–style sound. In the realm of analog television, this level of sound quality can only come from recordings, digital satellite transmissions,
or digital cable signals, not over the air from a local TV station (Churchill).
An example of DTV's extra function and flexibility is the system called Program and System Information Protocol (PSIP), a data service that allows
TV users to view schedules and read descriptions of programs transmitted through cable or on the air. This is one standard that the National Cable
Television Association and the Consumer Electronics Association agreed on; it is probable that cable operators and television stations may devise
numerous ancillary data services related to entertainment or

DSL or Cable Essay
DSL or Cable
Everyday there are millions of people connecting to the Internet. The Internet is made up of networks of computers linked together around the world
where people can chat, shop, instant message, and e–mail each other. With so many people connecting one might wonder how all of these millions of
people are connecting to the Internet. There are many different options for people to use to connect to the Internet, such as dial–up, DSL, Cable, and
Satellite. Dial–up internet connection uses the telephone line; this is the oldest connection that has been around since the 1990's. The newest type of
connection would be the satellite connection, which is not very popular right now because of the high cost. The two most popular ... Show more content

There are other types of DSL such as Very high bit, symmetric, and rate– adaptive DSL. The very high bit–rate is used for short distances, but is very
fast. The symmetric DSL does not let you use the Internet and the phone at the same time. So for home users, symmetric is not the best choice for
DSL. The rate–adaptive DSL is similar to asymmetric DSL, but can adjust the speed depending on the length of the phone line. There are many
different types of DSL that homes users can chose from, but the best choice for home users is clearly asymmetric.
Cable
As the name Cable might suggest this connection uses a television cable to connect to the Internet. As with asymmetric DSL, the Cable Internet
connection shares the coaxial line with the television signal. Cable TV works by giving each TV station a 6– megahertz piece of the radio spectrum.
"The Radio signals travel through the air at a speed very close to the speed of light. In a coaxial cable like the one that brings CATV signals to your
house, radio signals travel at about two–thirds the speed of light" (www.howstuffworks.com). Cable Television offers 91 channels that take up 550
MHZ of the bandwidth (radio spectrum). Many cable companies today are using fiber optic cables to provide cable TV because it can serve 500
householders with just ONE optic fiber. Now that we know how both DSL and Cable Internet works, you might be asking what devices do these

Broadband over Power Lines (BPL) are systems designed for data communication over existing power lines. BPL have the ability to deliver broadband
services by transmitting radio frequency over conductors used for electric power transmission. This new technology has not been fully practical as
there are set back that needs to be handled such as Radio Frequency Transmission among others. BPL still has the major advantage over any other
broadband services in terms of its coverage as electric power has reached mostly all rural areas and because of it high–speed data access.
This seminar paper looked at a brief history of this technology, general overview, issues relating to this technology, its application and the status quo of
the technology

Whether a Yahoo acquisition can lead to even a small share of "balance of power" in digital advertising is the big question. Yahoo plus AOL would
give Verizon, the largest wireless telecom provider in the US, a reported 5 percent share of digital ad revenues globally. The most common argument is
that Verizon is over paying for two things: a competitive content platform and better ad tech. Beginning with content, there are four kings: Google,
Facebook, Snapchat and Netflix. Then we have a distinct second tier: Twitter, Hulu, Amazon and Microsoft.
Could Verizon crack that second tier? They have one significant obstacle in their way, they don't have a unified platform that can tie their different

Cable Networks And The Cable Providers
Distributors
Distributors include satellite TV providers, cable providers and wired telecommunications carriers.
Industry outlook
Satellite TV providers
Satellite television (TV) providers distribute TV programs on a subscription or fee basis through direct broadcast satellites. In general, satellite TV
providers earn revenue from monthly subscriptions to basic and premium programming. Revenue from advertising accounts for a small, but increasing,
portion of industry revenue.
Over the five years to 2015, new networks, more channel offerings, apps and bonus features are expected to increase industry revenue at an
annualized rate of 7.1% to $52.8 billion. This growth will be hindered by new and fierce competition emerging from online streaming companies that
have been cutting into the number of satellite TV subscribers. With a slower annual rise in demand from subscribers, forecasted revenue will increase
at a slower annualized 4.0% to $64.2 billion over the five years to 20201.
Cable Providers
The Cable Providers industry disseminates TV programming from cable networks to consumers, and also provides high–speed internet access and
digital voice telephony services. These three core products are typically bundled in a single package.
In the five years to 2015, industry revenue expanded an annualized 4.2% to $115.9 billion due to rate adjustments and subscriber upgrades. Demand
for the industry 's core product, cable TV subscriptions, has suffered over the past five years. The

Initial Development Of Wireless Technology ( 3G / 4G...
1.1 INTRODUCTION
The aim of third and fourth generation (3G/4G) mobile networks is to provide users with high data rates, and to provide a wider range of services,
such as voice communications, videophones, and high speed Internet access. A common challenge in a wireless system design is to overcome the eects
of the wireless channel, which have multiple transmission paths and dierent delays. OFDM has a promising future as a new technology in several next
generation wireless communication systems. The OFDM systems ability to combat the eects of multipath propagation with a relatively simple receiver
structure made it the modulation of choice for some of the most prominent wireless technologies such as the IEEE 802.11 wireless local area ... Show

These systems require analog oscillator and lter of much wider bandwidth and sharp cut–o. Therefore, the concept of OFDM was not gained so much
attention or popularity because of the diculty in sub–carrier recovery without inter–sub–carrier interference by means of analog lters. Due to this reason
only, a number of studies in the
1960s were dedicated for MCM employing overlapped band–limited orthogonal signals [12] [10] [13]. In the year 1967, B. R. Saltzberg suggested a
MCM system employing Orthogonal time–staggered Quadrature Amplitude Modulation
(O–QAM) on the carriers [12]. The concept of MCM scheme employing timelimited orthogonal signals, which is similar to OFDM, was rst given by
H. F.
Marmuth [14] in 1960.
A major breakthrough in the history of OFDM came in 1971 when Weinstein and Ebert used Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) to perform baseband
modulation and demodulation which eliminated the need of bank of subcarrier oscillators thus making the operation ecient and simpler [15] [16]. In
1979, after evolutionary growth and development in signal processing and VLSI technologies, high speed chips can be built around special–purpose
hardware performing the large size Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) (ecient algorithm for
DFT) at aordable price [17] [18].
All the proposals of OFDM systems used guard spaces in frequency domain and a raised cosine windowing in time domain to combat

GSM Subscriber Services
There are two basic types of services offered through GSM: telephony (also referred to as tele services) and data (also referred to as bearer services).
Telephony services are mainly voice services that provide subscribers with the complete capability (including necessary terminal equipment) to
communicate with other subscribers. Data services provide the capacity necessary to transmit appropriate data signals between two access points
creating an interface to the network. In addition to normal telephony and emergency calling, the following subscriber services are supported by GSM:
* Dual–tone multi–frequency (DTMF) –DTMF is a tone signaling scheme often used for various control purposes via the telephone network, such as
remote control of an answering machine. GSM supports full–originating DTMF.
* Facsimile group III –GSM supports CCITT Group 3 facsimile. As standard fax machines are designed to be connected to a telephone using analog
signals, a special fax converter connected to the exchange is used in the GSM system. This enables a GSM–connected fax to communicate with any
analog fax in the network.

4.1 Digital Take–Up
East Africa has an estimated 135.4 million persons (East African Community Secretariat, 2012) with a large majority living in rural areas. With an

As part of the bid to end the digital divide, regional governments and the private sector stepped up the support for the launch of submarine cables to
increase broadband and bandwidth.
The launch of submarine cables on the East African cost has meant that Internet connectivity in the region is more extensive. Consequently, regional
economic fortunes, specifically for media firms, appear to be on an upward trajectory as the number of people who access and use the Internet
increases on the account of the rising availability of mobile broadband.
Just like elsewhere in Africa, it is not easy to determine the actual Internet penetration in East Africa due to the fact that Internet subscription do not
accurately reflect Internet use in the region because, in general, an Internet subscription (fixed or mobile) is shared by several people (ITU, 2013).
The fact that many people have access to Internet through their jobs or schools and colleges, especially universities makes it harder to determine actual
Internet penetration. Moreover, according to the ITU, the primary source of Internet connectivity in many countries is cybercafГ©s while in several
countries Community Multimedia Centres (CMC) are created mainly in rural areas to facilitate Internet access for the rural population.
Nonetheless, available data from the ICT sector watchdogs in East African countries reflect a steady growth of ICTs in the region, with social media

Unix And Unix Operating System
6.4 C–DOT DSS MAX is administrated by UNIX operating system
BSNL C–DOT DSS MAX uses UNIX operating system to operate the exchange.
The UNIX operating system is a set of programs that act as a link between the computer and the user. The computer programs that allocate the system
resources and coordinate all the details of the computer 's internals is called the operating system or kernel.
Users communicate with the kernel through a program known as the shell. The shell is a command line interpreter it translates commands entered by
the user and converts them into a language that is understood by the kernel.
UNIX was originally developed in 1969 by a group of AT&T employees at Bell Labs, including Ken Thompson, Dennis Ritchie, Douglas McIlroy, and
Joe Ossanna.
There are various UNIX variants available in the market. Solaris UNIX, AIX, HP UNIX and BSD are few examples.
Several people can use a UNIX computer at the same time; hence UNIX is called a multiuser system. A user can also run multiple programs at the
same time; hence UNIX is called multitasking. This is why BSNL uses UNIX operating system as the exchanges can be operated through a remote area.
UNIX operating system provides various commands to operate embedded systems in C–DOT DSS MAX.
The commands used in C–DOT DSS MAX UNIX operating system are broadly divided into two categories–
1. Administration command classes
2. Maintenance command classes

The State Of The Present Day Economy
The state of the present day economy is the result of a procedure of monstrous changes and advancement that started more than two centuries back. In
spite of the fact that the modern worldview was an accomplishment as far as the overarching markets conditions, unmistakably Information and

Network Neutrality Rules Research Paper
NET NEUTRALITY RULES
In the late 2010, U.S. Federal Communication commission imposed "network neutrality" regulations on broadband access providers, both wired and
wireless. Networks cannot block subscribers' use of certain devices, applications, or services, or unreasonably discriminate, offering superior access for
some services over others. The commission argues that such rules are necessary, as theinternet was designed to bar "gatekeepers". Networks routinely

net neutrality rules restrict how companies may price and package computer network services. The rules prohibit bargains or bundles that are seen to
discriminate among applications. Regulators see danger lurking in your broadband ISP, the cable TV system putting you online via a cable modem, or
the telephone carrier connecting you via a digital subscriber line (DSL) or fiber to the home (FTTH) networks. The operator, left to its own devices, is
feared to maximise its profits not just by taking your monthly subscription fee but by then skimming an unearned surcharge.
By "covertly blocking or degrading internet traffic" to sites affiliated with rival content suppliers, the ISP is seen to be in position to favour those of
its partners. There will be a fast lane on the iternet for those apps your "last mile" provider prefers – and a traffic jam for everyone else. The innovation

Case Analysis – The New York Times Paywall
Situation
The New York Times, as well as every other newspaper and magazine around the world, is struggling to find the best way to transition from traditional
print to the digital space while still maintaining a profitable business. The current solution for the largest local metropolitan newspaper in the United
States is a paywall, which requires readers of online content to pay for a digital subscription in order to have access to the site after a fixed monthly
allowance of 20 articles. However, this pay metered method has been tried by the most popular American newspaper website before and the question is
whether or not this strategy can help The Times evolve ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Paywalls can also increase print subscriptions. For example, some newspapers have offered subscription prices that provide digital–only access for the
same or lower than for digital and print in order to increase online revenues, print circulation and thus print ad revenue.
Opportunity is the key word for the newspaper industry right now. According to experts, neither digital advertisement revenues nor paywall
subscriptions are the answer. Innovation needs to be present in order to define the future of the industry. For example, some added value needs to be
present to merit the payment for content that was previously free or can be found using numerous substitute products free of charge.
Competitive Strengths and Weaknesses
The New York Times has a strong brand presence, name and equity in the United States. According to Michael Hirschorn, contributing editor at the
Atlantic, "You really can trace almost any major story these days to something that originally appeared in The Times. The problem is that once it
reaches the public, they may not even know it came from The Times." Readers of The New York Times are extremely loyal as well. A daily issue
is priced at $2.50 compared to $2.00 for the Wall Street Journal and $1.00 for USA Today. In addition, within nine months, 390,000 consumers have

Netflix 's Position As The Top Movies Streaming Service...
Executive summary Netflix. Inc was founded in 1997 as a DVD mail delivering Service Company that has grown to become a renowned movie and
Television series streaming provider. After launching its streaming services in 2007 Netflix diversified and expanded its streaming services to Canada
as of 2010 and is now a household name in more than 190 countries. The business model that the firm has implemented since its inception has proved
superior to its competitors. Before venturing in the Canadian market the firms' management had reiterated its strategic plan as one that seeks to grow

In this paper I will go over the pros and cons of having a purely fixed line network vs. a purely cellular network. When making this decision there are
several things to consider, the most important is what this network is going to be used for. I am going to first go over the fixed line network then
follow up with the cellular network. At the end of this paper I will do a recommendation to a new company that wants to open up a Skype– style service

Network security is very important on any network with a DSL connection on a fixed line there is no change in the network security. Network security
would be handled by a firewall that would be handled by the modem and of course at the device itself. Then the subscriber or company would
themselves use additional software for further protection. Troubleshooting is handled by both the subscriber and Telephone Company. There is a way
to determine where one ends and the other begins this is known as the demarcation line. This is usually where the wiring enters the home or
building. But this really depends on if this is a single occupant property or a multiple occupant property. The failover solution when using a fixed
line service for Internet connection would be to have back up equipment available for the site and for the Telephone Company it would be good to
know at the central office there is additional servers just in case there is a malfunction. When it comes to the data itself it is always important to have
a backup ran on a daily or weekly basis depending on the importance of the data. When Cellular phones first came out the main use was to make phone
calls. The first generation of the cell phone transmitted information the same analog format as a fixed line. The second generation (2G) transmission
switched to digital which gave cell phones the ability to

Assignment 1: A Case Study Of The ESPN Region
In the heated landscape of our current society, politics is a volatile subject for many. No matter what side of the boat you are on, one's opinion can
alienate another with one comment or meme. The old adage about not talking politics or religion while bellied up to a bar has much truth to it. It can
lead to conflict, hurt feelings and at times even ruined friendships.
When the subject of politics becomes a perilous one is when it alienates all opinions besides one ideal. One would imagine the same would be said if
the subject was religion. Using your 1st amendment right to express your opinion yet deeming those who have a difference of opinion as the enemy of

"As of the third quarter, Netflix owes $4.89 billion in long–term debt, ... and has added nearly $1.6 billion in debt this year alone" (MarketWatch). The costs paid for licensing new content far exceeds subscriber membership costs for streaming content. In conjunction with producing original content, Netflix does not own most of their original programming; the rights to the content usually expire after a year, giving rival services the ability to show the content. • 5. The Electric Telegraph Invented By Samuel Morse One of the earliest inventions of communication was the electric telegraph invented by Samuel Morse. This device used electrical signals to transmit messages. The telegraph played a significant role in transmitting messages over long spaces. Its usage was in Law enforcement, army and newspapers. Even so, anyone could post messages using a telegram via a service. Today, there are roughly three principal methods of measuring the velocity of data contagion. Baud rate (signaling events per minute), BPS (bits per Sec) and CPS (characters per minute). The fact is, today the baud rate has been substituted with a more precise unit of measurement. Telephones are most mutual and are ground in almost every home and organizations. Telephones worked by using a PSTN (Public SwitchedTelephone Network). • 6. The Digital Conversion in Television Essay The Digital Conversion in Television Introduction Television is now in the process of converting from analog to digital technology. The significance of this change is greater than the introduction of color TV in the 1960's, but more complicated since conversion will require new equipment for all consumers. Unlike color TV,digital television (DTV) uses a new kind of signal that does not fit within the structure of the old signal. "DTV" refers to a specific standard being implemented in the United States to carry a television signal in digital form through all stages of its transmission, not just for digital equipment such as video tape recorders and satellite receivers that have already been used in conjunction with analog ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... HDTV has a specification called 1080i, which is so named because it has 1,080 horizontal lines of resolution transmitted in an interlaced manner, which means that when the lines of each frame of the video are sent, only the even–numbered lines are sent for one frame, then only the odd–numbered lines of the next frame. Another HDTV format is 720p, which has 720 horizontal lines, but all lines are progressively sent for each frame. One SDTV format is 480p (480 progressive horizontal lines). A DTV signal can carry five channels of digital audio at the level of quality used by compact discs. This accommodates the demand for high–quality, movie theater–style sound. In the realm of analog television, this level of sound quality can only come from recordings, digital satellite transmissions, or digital cable signals, not over the air from a local TV station (Churchill). An example of DTV's extra function and flexibility is the system called Program and System Information Protocol (PSIP), a data service that allows TV users to view schedules and read descriptions of programs transmitted through cable or on the air. This is one standard that the National Cable Television Association and the Consumer Electronics Association agreed on; it is probable that cable operators and television stations may devise numerous ancillary data services related to entertainment or ... The Internet is made up of networks of computers linked together around the world where people can chat, shop, instant message, and e–mail each other. With so many people connecting one might wonder how all of these millions of people are connecting to the Internet. There are many different options for people to use to connect to the Internet, such as dial–up, DSL, Cable, and Satellite. There are other types of DSL such as Very high bit, symmetric, and rate– adaptive DSL. The very high bit–rate is used for short distances, but is very fast. The symmetric DSL does not let you use the Internet and the phone at the same time. So for home users, symmetric is not the best choice for DSL. The rate–adaptive DSL is similar to asymmetric DSL, but can adjust the speed depending on the length of the phone line. There are many different types of DSL that homes users can chose from, but the best choice for home users is clearly asymmetric. Cable As the name Cable might suggest this connection uses a television cable to connect to the Internet. As with asymmetric DSL, the Cable Internet connection shares the coaxial line with the television signal. Cable TV works by giving each TV station a 6– megahertz piece of the radio spectrum. "The Radio signals travel through the air at a speed very close to the speed of light. In a coaxial cable like the one that brings CATV signals to your house, radio signals travel at about two–thirds the speed of light" (www.howstuffworks.com). Cable Television offers 91 channels that take up 550 MHZ of the bandwidth (radio spectrum). Many cable companies today are using fiber optic cables to provide cable TV because it can serve 500 householders with just ONE optic fiber. A common challenge in a wireless system design is to overcome the eects of the wireless channel, which have multiple transmission paths and dierent delays. OFDM has a promising future as a new technology in several next generation wireless communication systems. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These systems require analog oscillator and lter of much wider bandwidth and sharp cut–o. Therefore, the concept of OFDM was not gained so much attention or popularity because of the diculty in sub–carrier recovery without inter–sub–carrier interference by means of analog lters. Due to this reason only, a number of studies in the 1960s were dedicated for MCM employing overlapped band–limited orthogonal signals [12] [10] [13]. In the year 1967, B. R. Saltzberg suggested a MCM system employing Orthogonal time–staggered Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (O–QAM) on the carriers [12]. The concept of MCM scheme employing timelimited orthogonal signals, which is similar to OFDM, was rst given by H. F. Marmuth [14] in 1960. A major breakthrough in the history of OFDM came in 1971 when Weinstein and Ebert used Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) to perform baseband modulation and demodulation which eliminated the need of bank of subcarrier oscillators thus making the operation ecient and simpler [15] [16]. In 1979, after evolutionary growth and development in signal processing and VLSI technologies, high speed chips can be built around special–purpose hardware performing the large size Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) (ecient algorithm for DFT) at aordable price [17] [18]. As part of the bid to end the digital divide, regional governments and the private sector stepped up the support for the launch of submarine cables to increase broadband and bandwidth. The launch of submarine cables on the East African cost has meant that Internet connectivity in the region is more extensive. Consequently, regional economic fortunes, specifically for media firms, appear to be on an upward trajectory as the number of people who access and use the Internet increases on the account of the rising availability of mobile broadband. Just like elsewhere in Africa, it is not easy to determine the actual Internet penetration in East Africa due to the fact that Internet subscription do not accurately reflect Internet use in the region because, in general, an Internet subscription (fixed or mobile) is shared by several people (ITU, 2013). The fact that many people have access to Internet through their jobs or schools and colleges, especially universities makes it harder to determine actual Internet penetration. Moreover, according to the ITU, the primary source of Internet connectivity in many countries is cybercafГ©s while in several countries Community Multimedia Centres (CMC) are created mainly in rural areas to facilitate Internet access for the rural population. Nonetheless, available data from the ICT sector watchdogs in East African countries reflect a steady growth of ICTs in the region, with social media and mobile phone ... The UNIX operating system is a set of programs that act as a link between the computer and the user. The computer programs that allocate the system resources and coordinate all the details of the computer 's internals is called the operating system or kernel. I am going to first go over the fixed line network then follow up with the cellular network. At the end of this paper I will do a recommendation to a new company that wants to open up a Skype– style service as to whether they should use a fixed line or a cellular network. Network security is very important on any network with a DSL connection on a fixed line there is no change in the network security. Network security would be handled by a firewall that would be handled by the modem and of course at the device itself. There is a way to determine where one ends and the other begins this is known as the demarcation line. This is usually where the wiring enters the home or building. But this really depends on if this is a single occupant property or a multiple occupant property.
