While this would have been an ideal sinerio, tranquailizers are not as easy to use as the people
making th statemnet seem to beleive. On Television when a person or an animal is hit with a
tranquilizer dart, they almost immedietly colapse. In reality there would be a cpombination of how

The main reason for the introduction of the open carry law was to reduce crime due to the threat a
gun poses and how it will deter potential thieves, robbers and criminals from injuring an individual
due to the presence of a gun. Thus, it is intended so that guns will make the civilians feel safe and
create fear in the potential criminals. While open carry law states do have a 23% less crime rate than
non–open carry law states, there hasn't been any data suggesting that open carry law caused the

criminal or innocent. In the short run, people will panic at the sight of these and feel as if their
personal security is threatened, but with constant exposure to the firearm, the public will slowly
become desensitized to guns (Csulb). With the desensitization, guns will become more
commonplace and the fears that once arose within individuals will be subsided. Overall, while this

of the former Texas School Book Depository and was established in 1898. The exhibitions at the

those pertaining to his assassination. Temporary exhibits are hosted on the seventh floor. There is a
café worth visiting as well.
2. Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens: Possibly one of the city's most beautiful spots, the
Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens is a major attraction for both tourists as well as locals.
Covering over 66 acres of land, established in the 1940s, the botanical gardens consist of a number
of well–maintained gardens, trees, bushes, shrubbery and myriad flora. There are lovely fountains as
well and you can a magnificent view of the lake below and the Dallas skyline. It has been divided

During the 1960's at the Saint Louis Zoo a chimpanzee named Edith took her first breath. The public
gave a lot of attention, mainly because she was a newborn. She was cuddly, cute and small. As
young as 3 years old, she was taken away from her family and passed around at least five facilities,
finally landing at a Texas roadside zoo called Amarillo Wildlife Refuge. During an undercover
investigation of Amarillo Wildlife Refuge, PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals)
discovered during the undercover investigation that Edith had been living in a filthy, barren concrete
pit. She did not have any hair on her body and had been living off of rotten produce and dog food
