The first time I realized I had a speech impediment I was 5 years old. My cousins and I were sitting
on the back porch of my grandmother's house, on a hot summer afternoon in August. We were
talking about how pretty the flowers looked in my grandmother's backyard, when I said, "I just love
lellow flowers." As soon as that statement left my mouth, everyone laughed at me. I remember
thinking, "Why are they all laughing at me?" They asked me to say it again, and I said "lellow."
Until they told me I was saying it wrong, I never knew. My cousins laughing at me continuously

The western film "The Cowboys" directed by Mark Rydell, which stars John Wayne as the main
character Wil Andersen, who is a stiff necked rancher in Montana, stuck with working with a bunch
of inexperienced boys. Wil Andersen is faced with a difficult situation when all of the ranch hands
get involved in the local gold rush and he has no more workers. Andersen's friend Anse will get the
idea of having the local schoolboys help him on the drive, but Andersen is not sold on the idea and

In this depiction, the Native Americans lure the men away from their homes, savagely kill their
families, and commit wrong. It is the white men who have to painstakingly hunt down the Indians to

John Wayne's original name was Marion Robert Morrison, who was born on May 26, 1907, in
Winterset, Iowa. His parents were Mary Alberta Brown and Clyde Leonard Morrison. John had one
brother, Robert Morrison. His father, Clyde, developed a lung condition that required him to move
his family to the warmer climates of California when John was just seven. Clyde started ranching
and farming in the Mojave Desert, but did not succeed. The family moved again, to Glendale,

Almost all movies have characteristics that categorize them in two or more genres. A great example
of this being Unforgiven. The film's dark and cynical characters occasionally resemble that of a film
noir while its overall narrative structure depicts itself as a classical western style film. While there is
an argument to call Unforgiven a film noir, it is hard to deny the idea that the film is mainly a film of
the western genre. The basis of this idea, mostly relies on the portrayal of the lead protagonist, and
the end of the film. While it would be easy to use setting, lighting, camera angles, etc to manifest the
idea, it would not do it justice. By using these narrative tropes, it becomes coherent that Unforgiven
is just another well–made film that uses the structure of a western to construct its plot.
Clint Eastwood's character, William, is a perfect example of the western classic hero. For example,
the character is unknown to both the viewer and to the society in the film. In The Structure of The
Western Film, the author describes the second similarity found in a western film as "The hero is a

beliefs about certain things that take place. June 12, 2016 was a tragic night at Pulse, a gay nightclub
in Orlando, Florida. Omar Mateen, a 29–year–old security guard, initiated a terrorist attack, killing
49 people and wounding 53. He used an AR–15–style rifle and a handgun to carry out the attack.
The hate crime took place just shortly before the club was supposed to close. When people started
hearing bullets being shot, they started to hide under the bar, on the ground of the dance floor, in the
bathrooms, looking for exits wherever they could. This is one great example of a tragic occurrence
that received a great amount of coverage worldwide, and it sparked a large amount of interest,
reaction, and attention from people. I want to discuss five articles specifically, published within a
week 's time of each other, that are written with different intentions for different audiences. The first
of the five articles would be an article published by CNN on June 13, 2016 at 11:05am, "Orlando

as "eye candy" to the male and possibly some female viewers. In an article written by Erin Aubry
some high school students where asked if rap music disrespected women. One student stated that

Although this may be true, the directors of the videos do not have to put those women in those
clothes. The main reason that women are put in the video is to attract viewers. Most male and some

his wife, taken ten years previously by the Comanches. He buys a woman out of captivity–not his
wife, of course, whom he will never find–and escorts her back to her husband. The journey pits him
against a charming, evil adversary (Claude Akins), and the trip becomes the occasion for a moral
dialectic of the kind for which the Western seems the perfect vehicle. In the end the villain adopts
Scott's code, dying honorably, and Scott delivers the wife to her husband. He turns out to be a blind
man, a fact that surprises and pleases because all through the film we have worried, along with
