Essay about My Birth Story
My Birth Story
A baby's life helps to form and shape the future for that child; this goes the same for me. My birth,
my sign, and my name, all relate to the way I live and act today. Many people may not see this
connection for themselves, but it takes a little bit of research and thinking to come to realize why
people are the way they are. Every day and every action that a child experiences can influence their
actions as an adult.
I was born on a Monday morning at 5:33. Although my mother was not in labor for long, she did
take her time getting to the hospital to give birth. I was born on April 23, 1984, the day after Easter
as a Taurus. In general, Taurus' are stubborn people and can bring harmony from chaos. Taurean

I am adjusting like any child would to their new surroundings, and getting used to daily life as a
college student. I came to NAU alone, much like I was born an only child. However, in the next
year, I know I will make friends and meet people to enjoy college life with, much like when my
brother was born, I had a new playmate and someone to grow with.
Taureans are also known to have very strong opinions and a strong voice. All through middle
school, my voice wasn't always used for academics; all my report cards said: "...She's a good
student, but has a tendency to socialize too much during class". Throughout high school, my
teachers have been able to tell when I haven't done my homework because I didn't have anything
to say about the book or the article we read. I was known to be social occasionally and a strong
voice in every debate or discussion that took part during the class. My Bioethics teacher once told
me "...Cammy, give someone else a chance, you're monopolizing the class" I was a little shocked,
but I knew she was right and shut up.
As a Taurus, I also have an inclination to make sure people are taken care of, especially in my own
home or my "territory." Although I don't host many parties, when I do haveguests, I like to be sure
that they are comfortable and have everything they need. For example, about a week ago, my
roommate and I

My Personal Identity Essay
A person's identity is shaped by many different aspects. Family, culture, friends, personal interests
and surrounding environments are all factors that tend to help shape a person's identity. Some
factors may have more of an influence than others and some may not have any influence at all. As a
person grows up in a family, they are influenced by many aspects of their life. Family and culture
may influence a person's sense of responsibilities, ethics and morals, tastes in music, humor and
sports, and many other aspects of life. Friends and surrounding environments may influence a
person's taste in clothing, music, speech, and social activities. Personal interests are what truly set
individuals apart. An individual is not a puppet...show more content...
Society has had a limited impact on my lifestyle, mostly because I despise trends. The largest trends
I despise are rap and hip–hop and the clothing, attitudes, and type of speech that that type of 'music'
is breeding. I chose to steer away from that crowd, but it may also be because I live my life off of
adrenaline. My high on life is the energy I have when I get my blood pumping, my heart
pounding, and my adrenaline raging. Most aspects of my individuality reflect that very well. I
love hard, aggressive music, and also guns, but my passion in life is extreme sports, whether it be
on a dirt bike, a bmx bike, a snowmobile, or a snowboard. I have a strong set of morals and ethics
that I have partly adopted from my parents, but some are also partly my own. My morals mostly
consist of karma (being kind, caring, helpful, truthful, and considerate to others), not littering
(especially in nature), respecting nature, keeping a clean and welcoming home, success that is
measured with happiness and not possessions, and having strong family ties. I feel that I am very
strongly rounded individual who is going to go far in life. Many people would agree with that,
although some people just think that I am an absolutely crazy person who has a death wish and will
not go anywhere but to the hospital or the morgue. Educational experiences also tend to influence a
person's identity. I have not had too many educational

Narrative Essay About Me
Narrative Essay about me
The age of 16 is the prime of being a teenager. It is the age in which some of the most beautiful
events happen and that would serve to remind us how wonderful it was when we were young and
vibrant. At the age of 16, a boy or girl gets to connect with people who may or may not last
forever. The age of 16 is the peak of the adolescent. It is the transition between adolescent and
young adult hood (Botwinick No.Page.). One realizes that adulthood is soon kicking the door and
it is a time that one strikes a difference between good and bad choices. At this crucial age, my life
took the most drastic turn ever. I moved from the Kenya, Africa to theUnited States.
The feeling was totally the most confusing. At such an age...show more content...
Everything would be such a new and exciting experience. I would be traveling in the air for about
16 hours. I had so many questions in my mind. The day came and my curiosity of the travel ended. I
landed in the United States.
The first scene was exciting and amusing as I had anticipated. I had never seen so many white
people in life. Every child looked like a doll. Some people were too tall. The first thing that came
to my mind was a sense of freedom. Life suddenly changed. I was in another country so developed
and so different from Kenya, that I almost thought heaven was either alike or just a little better.
I was afraid to speak. I could only feel bold to speak to my mother because I thought only she
could understand anything I said. I could overhear people speak but could not comprehend most
of what they said. I was not used to people speaking English with such a soft and quick tone.
Slowly the reality of how new the place was new to me started hitting me. I could not speak freely
and neither did I hear exactly what people were talking about.
I did not have friends. I had now moved to a new school. Even though I could see other black
kids, I had the feeling that everybody else knew that I was from Africa. I was afraid to speak
because I did not trust my words. What if I said something and everybody looked at me with weird
faces. It was not what I expected. Everything intimidated me. The school system there was very
different from back in Kenya. The

Personal Narrative My Life Essay
Personal Narrative My Life
I never really thought about where my life was going. I always believed life took me where I
wanted to go, I never thought that I was the one who took myself were I wanted to go. Once I
entered high school I changed the way I thought. This is why I chose to go to college. I believe that
college will give me the keys to unlock the doors of life. This way I can choose for myself where I
go instead of someone choosing for me.
I have chosen to go to the local community college to get used to the college experience. College
life can be an exciting time but at the same time it can be a challenge. I feel that starting out at the
community college would be a better chose than "jumping" into life at a...show more content...
I know this is what I want to do with my life. I want to be a positive influence in the lives of
children. I want to be able to stand up and show the children that it is okay to be yourself and
stand up for what you believe in. I am a well round student. For nine years I was actively involved
in a girls organization. This experience taught me many things. We were actively involved in
community service activities, for which I received the Silver Award. ( The second highest award
in the organization.) I learned about the value of friendship and patients with others. This
organization first introduced me to my future career. I was also involved for three and a half years
in a student government club on campus. In this club I learned many life lessons. One of which
was the value of hard work. I was one of the few people that organized the Junior/Senior Prom of
2000. My responsibilities included planning corranation, buying and organizing decorations,
planning the busing schedule, booking the photographers, fundraising, ect. This taught me about
hard work. But the best part of it was going to Prom knowing I was one of the only reasons that it
happened. As far as school goes, my schedule is very diverse. I am taking child development lab,
which is a class where students from my high school can go to the local elementary schools and
work one on one with the students. I have work in the elementary school for two and a half years. I

Personal Narrative: My Violin
I took a deep breath. With my left fingers poised across the strings, I began moving my right arm
slowly, but as I started playing, I hit a wall. My fingers stiffened and my right arm faltered, my
violin producing a horrifying sound that could not even be described as music. During senior year
of high school, I decided to learn the violin. I have always loved the timbre of the instrument and I
longed to develop a talent that I could call my own. However, my progress was slow. My arms
and fingers always tensed up when I began playing a piece. Yet, my violin instructor never let me
give up. Every time I put my violin down he would urge me to continue. "Don't hesitate," he would
tell me. "Be confident in what you play even if you make a mistake."

Example Of A Personal Narrative Essay
Personal Narrative Have you ever had something happen to you that changed your life forever?
Something that you will never forget. It's something that makes you who you are whether it is
good or bad to makes you special. I know it's hard to believe that one event could change your
whole life but I promise you it can. A major life changing event happened to me on July 20th,
2011. This is the day that my youngest sister Carly was born. On this day my whole life was
changed and it will never be the same again. July 20th I said good bye to my old self and started
taking steps to become the person that I am today. My whole story started the day my mother told
me that I was going to have another sibling. The day that my mother told me was a day that changed
my life forever. I was in shock and I couldn't believe I was going to be a big sister again. There was
so many emotions going through my mind. I didn't know how to react to the news. The main emotion
I was feeling was anger, I wasn't happy about having another sibling. But the closer it got to Carly's
do date my emotions started to change and I became very excite and looking forward to this new
chapter of my life. I was ready to see what my future had instore for me with this amazing little
girl that was about to come into my life. The day of July 20th,2011 was the day that my life
changed forever. It is the day that my youngest sister Carly came into this world. I remember it like
it was just yesterday. The day before

Essay on Sports Narrative

major role in my life would definitely be sports. It is almost as if I look up to sports because I could
not live without them. Sports pretty much define me as me. I love to play sports as well as watch
all kinds of sports on T.V. and if I could ever go to a game and watch the players play live I would be
thrilled. Basically sports define me because I am ambitious, I finish what I start, I set goals for
myself, and I am a fierce competitor in which I love to win and I hate to lose. The greatest part
about sports to me is living for the moment when the game is on the line and the pressure is on can
you come through and make a play for your...show more content...
With the game tied 6–6 that is when I went into my own little zone and was in my moment. The
crowed was electrified and cheering us on. I thought about all the hard work the coaches put us
through doing two a days and keeping us late after a hard practice, spending all of that time and
hard work just for this one little moment when the game was on the line. Back to reality our
quarterback had started the play and it looked like it was going nowhere and we might have to got
into overtime. Then after about 6 crazy seconds he threw the ball to our halfback and he broke a
couple tackles and the somehow stretched across the goal line by about 2 inches and we had taken
the lead 8–6 with 52 seconds to go. When the game clock hit 00:00 for the first time in our schools
history the football team had beaten Aberdeen and none of us could believe it. This was a special
moment. Now, it was in this moment when I had realized that sports define me as me because we
never gave up, none of us wanted to lose, we set a goal and completed it, but most important we
kept our eye on the prize and came through in the moment when the game was on the line. Nobody
is going to remember how many games we won or who the best player on the team was that season,
but I guarantee what people will remember is when we had beaten Aberdeen for the first time in
school

What if I said something and everybody looked at me with weird faces. It was not what I expected. Everything intimidated me. The school system there was very different from back in Kenya. • 4. Personal Narrative My Life Essay Personal Narrative My Life I never really thought about where my life was going. I always believed life took me where I wanted to go, I never thought that I was the one who took myself were I wanted to go. Once I entered high school I changed the way I thought. This is why I chose to go to college. I believe that college will give me the keys to unlock the doors of life. This way I can choose for myself where I go instead of someone choosing for me. I have chosen to go to the local community college to get used to the college experience. College life can be an exciting time but at the same time it can be a challenge. I feel that starting out at the community college would be a better chose than "jumping" into life at a...show more content... I know this is what I want to do with my life. I want to be a positive influence in the lives of children. I want to be able to stand up and show the children that it is okay to be yourself and stand up for what you believe in. I am a well round student. For nine years I was actively involved in a girls organization. This experience taught me many things. We were actively involved in community service activities, for which I received the Silver Award. ( The second highest award in the organization.) I learned about the value of friendship and patients with others. This organization first introduced me to my future career. I was also involved for three and a half years in a student government club on campus. In this club I learned many life lessons. One of which was the value of hard work. I was one of the few people that organized the Junior/Senior Prom of 2000. My responsibilities included planning corranation, buying and organizing decorations, planning the busing schedule, booking the photographers, fundraising, ect. This taught me about hard work. But the best part of it was going to Prom knowing I was one of the only reasons that it happened. As far as school goes, my schedule is very diverse. I am taking child development lab, which is a class where students from my high school can go to the local elementary schools and work one on one with the students. I have work in the elementary school for two and a half years. I Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Personal Narrative: My Violin I took a deep breath. With my left fingers poised across the strings, I began moving my right arm slowly, but as I started playing, I hit a wall. My fingers stiffened and my right arm faltered, my violin producing a horrifying sound that could not even be described as music. During senior year of high school, I decided to learn the violin. I have always loved the timbre of the instrument and I longed to develop a talent that I could call my own. However, my progress was slow. My arms and fingers always tensed up when I began playing a piece. Yet, my violin instructor never let me give up. Every time I put my violin down he would urge me to continue. "Don't hesitate," he would tell me. "Be confident in what you play even if you make a mistake." Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 7. Essay on Sports Narrative Tyler Douglas Professor Thamm Eng 101–10:00 a.m. Due: Sep. 29, 2008 Essay #1 Narrative A major role in my life would definitely be sports. It is almost as if I look up to sports because I could not live without them. Sports pretty much define me as me. I love to play sports as well as watch all kinds of sports on T.V. and if I could ever go to a game and watch the players play live I would be thrilled. Basically sports define me because I am ambitious, I finish what I start, I set goals for myself, and I am a fierce competitor in which I love to win and I hate to lose. The greatest part about sports to me is living for the moment when the game is on the line and the pressure is on can you come through and make a play for your...show more content... With the game tied 6–6 that is when I went into my own little zone and was in my moment. The crowed was electrified and cheering us on. I thought about all the hard work the coaches put us through doing two a days and keeping us late after a hard practice, spending all of that time and hard work just for this one little moment when the game was on the line. Back to reality our quarterback had started the play and it looked like it was going nowhere and we might have to got into overtime. Then after about 6 crazy seconds he threw the ball to our halfback and he broke a couple tackles and the somehow stretched across the goal line by about 2 inches and we had taken the lead 8–6 with 52 seconds to go. When the game clock hit 00:00 for the first time in our schools history the football team had beaten Aberdeen and none of us could believe it. This was a special moment. Now, it was in this moment when I had realized that sports define me as me because we never gave up, none of us wanted to lose, we set a goal and completed it, but most important we kept our eye on the prize and came through in the moment when the game was on the line. Nobody is going to remember how many games we won or who the best player on the team was that season, but I guarantee what people will remember is when we had beaten Aberdeen for the first time in school Get more content on HelpWriting.net
