3. Our CIRCULATORY SYSTEM
is the transport system of
the body. It is an intricate
network of long, slender
branches originating from
the heart and running
through the different parts
of the body.

pumps and
moves blood
through the

5. RIGHT ATRIUM receives deoxygenated blood

6. RIGHT VENTRICLE pumps blood to the lungs

7. LEFT ATRIUM receives oxygenated blood

8. BLOOD is the transport system

9. RED BLOOD CELL (Erythrocytes) deliver oxygen
to the cells

10. WHITE BLOOD CELLS (leukocytes) fight germs
that enter the body

11. PLATELETS (thrombocytes) are used in blood
clotting

12. PLASMA is where blood cells are
suspended

13. BLOOD VESSELS are tubes that carry blood to
and from the heart

14. ARTERIES carry blood that contains nutrients
and oxygen from the heart to the different parts
of the body
