The June newsletter from KELC provides information about upcoming events and activities at the daycare over the summer months. It includes details about exploring the campus outdoors, using sunscreen and bug spray, swimming lessons for different groups, and closed days in June, July, August and over holidays. Fundraising efforts through a bottle drive for the Imagination Library and t-shirt/bag sales are also mentioned. Upcoming dates in June include a nature club field trip and visits from the library and swimming lessons.
1. June Newsletter 2019
June is here and hopefully we will have real summery weather arriving as well. During summer we will be
exploring our Kendal campus and learning more outside. We have sunscreen for you to apply to your child when
you arrive, and I just ordered bug spray today that we will be using as well. I look forward to all the adventures
we will have this summer season.
Have a great month! Jeni Hoover, KELC Director
To help the Lorain County Imagination
Library we will be collecting Dollars for
Dolly in a 2-liter bottle by our entrance.
Change will be accepted, too. When
we fill the bottle we will have a pizza
party!
KELC T-Shirt & Bag Sale:
We have kids’ shirts with our old logo on them as well as
shopping bags. We will be selling t-shirts and bags for
$1 each over the summer. The shirts make great play
shirts for your children and the bags are great for
shopping or storing extra clothes in your care for those
“just in case” moments the summer may bring. You can
see any KELC staff member to purchase these items.

Pictures from the last
Month:
Hello Kendal Family,
We can’t believe May is already over! Thank you to everyone that came out to our graduation. We are so proud of all our
students leaving us for kindergarten. It meant a lot to see everyone supporting them. They have learned and grown so much.
As we transition into summer, we are sad to see many friends leaving us or taking vacation breaks, but we are also welcoming
new friends into our school family. When you come in each day, look for new faces and please give them a warm welcome!
June also saw our last Eli Field Trip of the year. The children had an absolute blast playing in the water discovery room and
doing a sink or float experiment at the Cleveland Children’s Museum. As we walked through the halls the children caught a
glimpse of other things to explore at the museum, so it won’t be a surprise if they ask to visit there again. It might be a nice day
trip for this summer. Have a great month! Mary, Val, Karen, Robin, Emily & Lynea
*June Nature Club is Friday, June 7, 5:30pm at Bellwether farm. It was originally scheduled at the Carlisle Reservation Duck
Pond, but Lynea graciously offered to host and give a tour of the farm where she and Ellen live. I hope to see you there!
