1. As things are slowing down for the summer we plan to combine our Birds/Giraffes groups for the month of July. For our
library trips we will take one trip on the first Thursday in July. The pool will be closed on the 12th
of July which is a usual
swim day so we will only be swimming once this month. If you missed the email, Sara is on maternity leave with Avielle
until the middle of September. Cooking Club is also being replaced with 1-on-1 visits to residents in the Stephens Care
Center for the summer, and we will also be having concerts in the courtyard Fridays at 4pm with community artists.
Have a great month! Jeni Hoover

2. From the KELC Teachers:
From the Classroom:
June was a time of sad farewells as we said goodbye to many of those who will
be headed off to kindergarten in the fall. We wish them the best of luck and
were so blessed to have shared their preschool experience with them. Those who
remain have found themselves enjoying many activities. We have spent a lot of
great times with our grandfriends as we participated in Fun Fitness Week,
Kendal’s annual picnic, and also celebrating Howard’s 100th
birthday. We have
also started our bi-weekly off-grounds field trips. Our first was to Rebmans to
enjoy a game of bowling and our second to the Lake Erie Nature and Science
Center.
Enjoy the sunshine! Sara, Robin, Karen, Macie, and Mary
