1. Evaluation
My initial idea for my artist came from the genre that I enjoy listening to. This
is becauseI thought that I would be better off creating an artist from a genre
that I know more about as it would be more interesting and more accurate. I
think the planning of the task went very well as I stuck very well to the genre
and I came up with an idea and name for the artist very quickly. My planning
helped me maintain an image in my head of whatI wanted to do in the
photoshoot, which helped me a lot.
I felt as though the photoshootwent well as I managed to get a rangeof shots.
I think all of these shots clearly displayed to the audience which genre my
artist was as I tried to usemany of the key conventions such as cars, hats,
chains and expensive clothes, which are all typical of the Hip-Hop genre. On
the other hand, I had planned to do the photoshootin daylight but the only
time I could do it was at night. Thereforeif I was to do this again I would make
sureI manage my time better so I can do the photoshootin the light.
I think the editing of my photoshootwentwell as I feel I picked the best images
froma variety of angles to edit and make clear to potential buyers of the
album what genre it is. I managed to stick to a clear colour scheme and make it
consistentso it looked neat. I think the only thing that didn’t go well was that I
had to change the size of the images so that it fit the digipak.
Overall, I think that the production of my artist went well becauseI managed
to stick to my original plan of having my duo either side of the car. I also
managed to edit it in a way that I had planned despite someof the images
having to be resized.
