2. What is initial planning idea and why do we
do them?
• We will be doing three products which is a music video, Promotional
website for the artist and a digipak( promo website and digipak is
done separately).
• Initial planning idea is when u state clearly what you will be doing
such as in the case of me doing a music video, I will need to do a
Initial planning idea of where I will be filming, when I will be filming,
who is my actor, what they will wear and how my actor will look to fit
in the convention. The reason why an IPI is used is to make out a
guideline on what needs to be included in the music video in my case
and also acts as a mini structure to look back at and refer to.
3. My initial planning ideas
• Locations: Digburth Graffiti, school music video, Winson green cannel and
millennium point/Birmingham Library
• Clothing: urban clothing to fit in with the countertypes of a music video
actress including the make up which isn’t to heavy but to an appropriate
standard.
• Camerawork: Establishing shot, Long shot, medium shot, close shot,
extreme close shot, tracking shot, over the shoulder shot.
• Acting: includes the actor walking about, negative body language to fit in
with the lyrics of the music video. Giving off the impression she has a
mysterious outlook on life and her lover is an enigma.
