This is my evaluation for my first question (In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?)
2. Tempest uses forms and
conventions that professional music
magazines use such as telling the
target audience what's in that
particular issue they do this down
the left hand third and have things
like main stories, bands, gigs and
promotions of prizes to attract the
reader. The font is attractive and
appealing to the human eye as the
colours are vibrant.
I developed the main
image to look professional
like magazines such as Q
and NME. These
magazines use new photo
editing's software to make
the image look sharper and
a better quality. I did this
with Photoshop.
3. I've challenged the perceived conventions urban culture and made
my magazine in a more modern and sophisticated manner. I’ve
done this by having a main image of a women when mainly urban
culture is dominated my males. This challenges the culture and puts
a twist on my magazine and will attract my audiences. I’ve gone for
the artists interpretation showing off the art rather than one
particular person.
My model is shown
as fierce as T.I is in
VIBE this shows
the urban genre
however my model
is challenging the
stereotype as she is
shown as more of
an artist rather than
a sex object like
Beyonce in this
issue of VIBE.
