The document describes the design and fabrication of a bladeless wind turbine. Some key issues with traditional wind turbines include high costs, large space requirements, and safety issues. The proposed design aims to address these by using a mast that vibrates at its resonant frequency when struck by wind, without any blades. Piezoelectric sensors convert the vibrations into electric current. Computational fluid dynamics simulations show that wind speeds of 40m/s will exert enough force on the mast to cause vibration. The design offers advantages like lower costs, ability to operate at lower wind speeds, reduced maintenance needs, and improved safety.
