2. Crypto news India: Govt to introduce bill on
Cryptocurrency after cabinet approval
The Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said on November 30, 2021, that
the Central Government will soon introduce the bill on Cryptocurrency- ‘The
Cryptocurrency and Regulation of Official Digital Currency Bill, 2021’- after
the Union cabinet's approval.
The Union Finance Minister, during the question raised in Cryptocurrency in
Rajya Sabha, informed that this is a risky area and is not in a complete
regulatory framework.
No decision has yet been taken on the banning of advertisements on
Cryptocurrency.
‘The Cryptocurrency and Regulation of Official Digital Currency Bill,
2021’ will be among the 26 new bills that will be introduced by the
Government of India for the Winter Session of Parliament that has started
from November 29, 2021.
Govt will introduce a ‘Cryptocurrency Bill, 2021’ in India to ban all the private
cryptocurrencies in the country. However, it will provide certain exceptions
to facilitate the underlying technology of Cryptocurrency.

3. Indian Army receives advanced Israeli Heron
drones
The Indian Army has received advanced Israeli Heron
drones after a delay of few months due to COVID-19. The
deployment of the drones will boost the Indian Army's
surveillance capabilities and help it keep a watch on the
Chinese activities in the Ladakh region. The drones will be
deployed along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the
eastern Ladakh sector.
The new Heron drones are far more advanced than the
Heron drones that India already has in its current inventory.
The new drones have now been made operational in the
Ladakh region. The Indian Forces had announced that they
are expecting the arrival of the advanced Heron-II drones
from Israel in May 2021.

4. Formal Military Certification to Indian Bio-Jet
Fuel Technology
The Ministry of Science & Technology informed on November 29,
2021, that CSIR-IIP Dehradun’s home-grown technology for
producing bio-jet fuels has been formally approved for use on
military aircraft of the Indian Air Force.
The Provisional Clearance (PC) Certificate to the Indian Bio-Jet Fuel
Technology was handed over by R. Kamalakannan, Group Director
(AT&FOL), Centre for Military Airworthiness and Certification to the
Principal Scientist from CSIR-IIP
.
The formal military certification represents India’s growing
confidence in the aviation biofuel sector.
The Bio-Jet Fuel Technology has undergone evaluation tests and
trials over the last 3 years. It has been developed by the Indian
Institute of Petroleum (CSIR-IIP) which is a constituent laboratory of
the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research.

5. AAI to invest around Rs 25,000 crores in
development of new Greenfield Airports
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) is planning to invest around Rs
25000 crores in developmental projects over the next five years.
This was informed by Minister of State in the Ministry Of Civil
Aviation Gen. V K Singh (Retd) in a written reply to a question in
the Rajya Sabha on November 29, 2021
The developmental projects will involve expansion and
modification of existing terminals, construction of new terminals
and expansion and strengthening of existing runways, air
navigation services, control towers and technical blocks.
Three Public-Private Partnership (PPP) airports at Delhi, Hyderabad
and Bengaluru have undertaken developmental projects worth Rs.
30,000 crores that are set to be completed by 2025.

6. Barbados declared New Republic after 400
years, ditches British Queen Elizabeth
Barbados has ditched the Queen Elizabeth of Britain as the Head of the
State. The Caribbean country formed a Republic with its first-ever
President Sandra Mason and severed its last-remaining colonial bonds
nearly 400 later after the first British ships arrived at the Caribbean
Island.
New Republic Barbados was born at the stroke of midnight to the
cheers of hundreds of people lining Chamberlain Bridge in the Capital
of Barbados, Bridgetown.
On the occasion, a 21-gun salute was fired as the National Anthem of
Barbados was played over a crowded Heroes Square.
Heir to the British throne, Prince Charles stood somberly as Queen
Elizabeth’s royal standard was lowered and the new Barbados was
declared.
The President of Barbados Sandra Mason said that the people of the
country must give the Republic of Barbados its spirit and substance.

7. Vice Admiral R Hari Kumar takes charge as
new Chief of Naval Staff
Chief of Naval Staff 2021: Vice Admiral Hari Kumar on
November 30, 2021, took charge as the new Chief of Naval
Staff. He also received a Guard of Honour at the South Block
lawns in Delhi.
The new Chief of the Indian Navy took charge after the
incumbent, Admiral Karambir Singh retired on November 30.
The Ministry of Defence has announced on November 9, 2021,
that Vice Admiral R Hari Kumar will take charge as the next
Chief of the Indian Navy.
Vice Admiral Kumar has been serving as the Flag Officer
Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Naval Command.

record 7th award, Alexia Putellas wins first
Lionel Messi has now won the Ballon d’Or award a record seven
times, six while he was playing for Barcelona and first time while
playing for Paris Saint-Germain.
Cristiano Ronaldo follows closely with five Ballon d’Or awards,
one while he was playing for Manchester United and four with
Real Madrid.
Besides them, three footballers have won the award three times
each- Michel Platini of Juventus, Johan Cruyff of Barcelona and
Ajax and Marco van Basten of Milan.

In a move that surprised many Jack Dorsey, the co-
founder and chief executive officer of Twitter
announced his move to step away from the company
yesterday.
Dorsey who took over as the CEO of Twitter in 2005,
has named Parag Agrawal – an IIT Bombay alumnus
and chief technology officer of Twitter as his success.
Parag, who takes over as Twitter CEO, is a Computer
Science Graduate from IIT Bombay who joins the elite
league of Indian-origin Silicon Valley CEOs with
Sundar Pichai and Satya Nadella.
