serta taufik dan hidayah-Nya kami dapat menyelesaikan makalah b.inggris dengan baik
meskipun banyak kekurangan didalamnya. Dan juga kami berterima kasih pada Bapak ricky
perdana Takahashi selaku Dosen mata kuliah b.inggris 2 yang telah memberikan tugas ini
kepada kami.
Kami sangat berharap makalah ini dapat berguna dalam rangka menambah wawasan serta
pengetahuan kita. Kami juga menyadari sepenuhnya bahwa di dalam makalah ini terdapat
kekurangan dan jauh dari kata sempurna. Oleh sebab itu, kami berharap adanya kritik, saran
dan usulan demi perbaikan makalah yang telah kami buat di masa yang akan datang, mengingat

Differences in use Some and Any, Much, Many, a lot of and a few
1. Some
Used to sentence Positive / Affirmative / Statement, Offer, requests, and questions if
you wish the question to be answered "Yes / yes"
Example:
I have some friends to be visited next week.
She borrowed some books at library.
I have some candies for you (aku memiliki beberapa permen untuk mu)
Do you see some people in the market? (kamu melihat beberapa orag di pasar?)
I have some new books that you can borrow (aku memiliki beberapa buku baru
yang dapat kamu pinjam)
we can borrow some books in this library (kita dapat membeli beberapa buku-
buku di perpustakaan)
do you have some pens? (kamu punya beberapa pena?)
2. Any
ANY means that some or a little. Moreover, it can also be used in a sentence that means
anybody or anytime. Used for negative sentences or questions
example:
Have you got any bananas? No, we haven’t got any. But we’ve got some oranges.
Do you have any idea to solve this problem?
Do you have any books ?
He does not do any work
Any one must work hard
I don’t have any new books (aku tidak memiliki beberapa buku baru)
They don’t need any idea (mereka tidak membutuhkan beberapa ide)
We don’t bring any bananas (kami tidak membawa beberapa pisang)
Sorry, I don’t have any ideas about it (maaf, aku tidak memiliki beberapa ide
tentang itu)
She doesn’t have any answer about this (dia tidak memiliki beberapa jawaban
tentang ini)
3. Much
4. Much used for objects that can not be counted, and to calculate required a dose /
weights and sizes. Benchmark an object can not be counted is if to count must use the
tools. such liter, rupiahs, etc. kilogram
example:
Much water
Much sugar
You took too much sugar in your tea, it’s not good for your health.
We need much sand to build a big building.

4. Many
Many are used for objects that can be calculated (countable noun)
example:
Many boys
Many girls
Many cats
How many fruit you take from refrigerator?
Many people asked me if I have got married or not.
I have many best friends in the campus (aku punya banyak teman di kampus)
do you have many new novels? (apakah kamu punya banyak novel baru)
You can choose many fruits here (kamu dapat memilih banyak buah-buahan
disini)
My mom buys many vegetables in the market (ibuku membeli banyak sayuran di
pasar)
I see many apples on the tree (aku melihat banyak apel di pohon)
5. A lot of
A lot of good can be used for items that can be counted and can not be calculated. This
means that can be used to change the position of Many. What distinguishes the Many
and Much is that the usage habits. A lot of just plain used in the positive
example:
He has a lot of money
There is a lot of fruit on the table
We have alot of spare time
5. I have a lot of friends who always stand by me.
How much money do you have? I have a lot of money.
6. A FEW
A FEW or Little means LITTLE. A few nouns that can be counted. While a little nouns that
can not be numbered
example:
A few children = sedikit anak-anak
A few house = sedikit rumah-rumah
A few cats = sedikit kucing-kucing
A little coffee = sedikit kopi
A little sugar = sedikit gula
A little wate = sedikit air
Perbedaan Some, Any , Much , Many Dan A lot of Dalam Kalimat Bahasa Inggris
Some : Digunakan untuk menyatakan beberapa dalam bahasa inggris namun untuk
kalimat positif
Any : digunakan untuk menyatakan beberapa dalam bahasa inggris namun untuk
kalimat negative
Much : Digunakan untuk menyatakan banyak dalam bahasa inggris namun untuk kata
benda yang tidak dapat di hitung
Many : Digunakan untuk menyatakan banyak dalam bahasa inggris namun untuk kata
benda yang dapat dihitung
A lot of : Digunakan untuk menyatakan banyak dalam bahasa inggris baik untuk kata
benda yang dapat di hitung dan tidak dapat di hitung dengan syarat berupa kalimat
positif

1. Articles are words used clothing and nouns (noun)
Contoh :
I watched a movie last night. Saya menonton film tadi malam.
Look at the man over there is unfriendly. Lihatlah orang yang disana tidak ramah.
I read an amazing story.
Saya membaca sebuah cerita yang luar
biasa.
2. Definite Article: The
DEFINIT article is used to show the noun (Noun), either in the singular or plural. This
article shows definite object, person, place or idea or gagsan obvious object or of the

6. Please give me the hammer. tolong berikan palu itu kepada ku
Please give me the red hammer; the blue one is too small. tolong berikan
kepada ku palu merah itu, palu yang biru terlalu kecil.

kepada ku.
3. Indefinite Articles: A and An
Indefinite Articles used when we want to show something that is not clear or has not
been determined. We use it when we do not know (or care) that we are talking,
We use the articles "A" before the noun (Noun) or adjective (adjectives) that the word
was preceded by a consonant (consonants) either embodiment mauapun letter in
pronunciation as "U" read "YU" etc
Contoh:
A cat : seekor kucing
A dog : seekor anjing
A university : sebuah universitas
A young puppy : seekor Anak anjing muda
A one-eyed pirate : seorang Bajak laut yang bermata Satu
We use "AN" before words beginning with a vowel sound or sound H

means no article (a, an, the) which need to be used against a noun (noun)

Can you speak Japanese? (Dapatkah kamu bicara bahasa Jepang?)
That children played football. (Anak-anak itu bermain bola).

have something done can be defined as everything which other people do or provide a service

Causative have a wording in the English language that have meaning order, asked you, even
forcing others to do something

Question tags are short questions at the end of a sentence / statement is used to request the
consent of the other person or confirm the truth of your statement. consists of an auxiliary verb
(auxiliary verb) and subject pronouns (I, you, she, he, it, they, and we)
1. Jika kalimatnya positif, maka question tag-nya negatif.
Contoh:
You are beautiful, aren’t you? [Kamu cantik, kan?]
She is serious, isn’t she? [Dia serius, bukan?]
2. Jika kalimatnya negatif, maka question tag-nya positif.
Contoh:
You are not beautiful, are you? [Kamu tidak cantik, kan?]

Conditional sentence is a complex sentence (compound sentence) formed from the subordinate clause beginning
with the subordinate conjunction if such condition (condition) and the main clause is in the form of result /
consequence (result). Type 3 can not be met (unreal)

Present
Direct speech adalah suatu kalimat yang diucapkan secara langsung oleh pembicara yang dalam
penulisannya disertai dengan tanda aphostrof di awal dan akhir kalimatnya sebagaimana teks dialog
atau percakapan
Indirect speech adalah suatu kalimat yang menggambarkan perkataan orang lain atau dirinya sendiri
secara tidak langsung (tidak persis seperti yang dikatakan pada saat diucapkan)
Contoh:
Budi says, "I go to school everyday" (Budi berkata "saya pergi ke sekolah setiap hari")
Budi says that he goes to work everyday (Budi berkata bahwa dia pergi ke sekolah setiap
hari)
Andi says to me: “you are the one I love very much”
Direct Speech: Robby says: “I have taken a bath”
Indirect Speech: Robby Said that he had taken a bath
Memahami penggunaan kalimat langsung dan tidak langsung dalam bentuk Past, Pada dasarnya,
perubahan Direct/Indirect Speech dalam bentuk kalimat past tense hanya terjadi dalam 2 pola:
V1 –> V2
V2 –> Past Perfect
Present perfect diubah menjadi past perfect
contoh :
K.langsung : Gogon will say "I have taken a bath"
K. tak langsung : Gogon will say that he has taken a bath
simple present diubah menjadi simple past
contoh :

K. tak langsung : Gogon will say that he has taken a bath
Direct Speech: Rasyid asks me: “did you come to school yesterday?”
Indirect Speech: Rasyid asked me if I had come to school the day before.
Memahami penggunaan kalimat langsung dan tidak langsung dalam bentuk Future dan
penggunaan kalimat langsung dan tidak langsung bentuk Imperative
Memahami penggunaan kalimat langsung dan tidak langsung dalam bentuk pertanyaan.
Dalam Indirect Statement kita menggunakan kata “that” (bahwa) sebagai penghubung antara
kalimat pengantar/induk kalimat (introduce phrase) dan kata-kata yang dilaporkan/anak
kalimat (reported words). Kata yang biasa digunakan bukan hanya told dan said saja, melainkan
bisa juga menggunakan: accused, admitted, advised, alleged, agreed, begged, boasted,
complained, denied, explained, implied, invited, offered, ordered, promised, replied,
suggested, dkk.
Bila Kalimat Tanya menggunakan Auxiliary verb (kata Kerja Bantu). Pada Umumnya Reporting Verb
mengunakankatakerja: Ask,tell.Sedangkandalamkalimattaklangsungantara Roporting Verb dengan
ReportedWorddihubungkandengan“IF& Weather(jika- Apakah). Menggunakan kata Tanya : who ,
what , when , where
Contoh:
He suggested: you should come to the party.
He suggested I should come to the party.
Andi told me: “I invite you to come to my party tonight”
Andi told me that he invited me to come to his party that night
My sister said to me: “Papa warned me last night”
Rendra said to Ani, “where are you going?”
Rendra said to Ani where she was going
He wanted to know,”how did you do this?”
He wanted to kow how I had done that
