1. Final Project Unit Plan: Day 5
A – Analyze Learners
I will be teaching 25 first graders about the 43 Presidents of the United State, their duties as
President, and the important symbols of our country.
S – Select Objectives
I want the students to learn more about our President by as a class exploring different activities
we can do using Pinterest. I also want the students to write a letter to the President, and
compare and contrast our president (Obama) to our first ever president (Washington).
S – Select Methods, Media, and Materials
As a class we will explore second life by taking a virtual tour through the White House.
U – Utilize Media and Materials
Second Life will be used to let students become familiar with the White House by virtually
exploring the inside.
R – Require Learner Participation
The students will each get a turn to navigate my second life avatar as they explore the White
House.
E – Evaluate and Revise
I will grade the students on how well they participate as we explore the White House.
