1. Looking back at your preliminary
task, (college magazine) what do you
feel you have learnt in the
progression from it to the full
product?

3. • Just by looking at my previous front cover page I did last year I
can see the progress that I have made. Last year I was clueless
on how to use Adobe which definitely was a weak point. As
the months went by I picked up on the Photoshop skills even
more which is how I made my ‘focus’ front cover. On my
Eccles college magazine it look very childlike as if a child had
done it, the colours had no meaning to them and the font
changes throughout the front cover page which almost makes
it look effortless. I also poorly edited laras head as there is a
massive chunk missing from her hair. This makes it look
unprofessional. On ‘focus’ I have also followed a colour
scheme as that’s what other magazines such as NME do. I
have also learnt how to use Dafont. Dafont is a website which
allows you to from hundreds of different fonts, the fonts look
very professional and most of them are used in actual
magazines.
4. Photography
Looking back at the photography I had taken on my
first magazine I have realized that I have improved lots.
The pictures for my music magazine look far more
professional and I have used different types of lighting
to establish a professional look. I used a Nikon camera
to take my images.
