User Experience Researcher
As a UX researcher, my core tasks are project manager and user researcher. My main
responsibility in the Dynamics UX team is to drive ethnographic research within the
Dynamics group. I plan, execute and evangelize the Dynamics Emerging Markets
research from a remote mobile location: the Netherlands. Based on the Dynamics
strategy I cooperate with different international stakeholders, from product planning
to localization teams to influence internal and external teams about the opportunities
in the emerging markets (Brazil, Russia, India and China) based on the insights from
field research.

Project assistant and graphic designer
My responsibilities were dual so as a graphic designer I designed all 2D promotion
material of the International Office, International Programmes department. As a
project assistant I researched the needs and requirements of the future information
service of international offices of all faculties of the University of Technology Delft
and managing different promotion campaigns for international scholarship
programmes.
2006 – 2007 Philips DAP, Amsterdam, the Netherlands
Graduation intern
My graduation assignment “Cooking in rural China” was about exploring the
opportunity for the Philips woodstove in rural China. Therefore I executed two
independent field researches in rural China to capture the consumers’ needs which
fits the sustainability vision of Philips. Consequently I have translated the consumer
insights into a new product proposition and implementation strategy for the rural
Chinese “BoP” consumers.
2006 Kossmann.deJong Exhibition Architects, Amsterdam, the Netherlands
Industrial design intern
During this internship I assisted in designing different technical solutions to display
museum artifacts. Also I conceptualized and visualized several exhibition spaces of
museums in the Netherlands. (Amsterdam Historisch Museum, Dolhuys in Haarlem,
Bezoekerscentrum Veluwezoom, Stedelijk Museum Kampen, Joods Historisch
Museum Amsterdam)

In the framework of my graduation project I attended the workshop as a Philips
representative to share my knowledge of renewable energy development in rural
China.
2006 Member of C7 Design ‐ International Design collective
Together with two international students, we designed and marketed the outdoor
furniture line in cooperation with Chamber of Commerce of the Netherlands in China.
A field trip to China was executed to check the prototype and to make the final
changes with the manufacturer. The product concept was exhibited at the Salone
Internazionale del Mobile 2006 in Milan.
