6. LITERATURE Paper II
• The facts carry maximum marks
• Board allocates 90 % for facts and
• 10 % for language/ spelling
• 1 mark is deducted for four spelling
• One spelling wrongly written many times will
be penalized only once.
• Concept clarity and ability to communicate
should be the top priority.
7. MATHS
• If formula is correct give half mark always , for 1 mark
question
• For each step marks should be pre decided ( if a child
has done few steps correctly then marks has to be
given)
• If the method of solving is correct but the last answer is
wrong then ½ mark should be deducted
• ½ mark to be deducted if unit is wrongly written
• If the numerical is solved by substituting wrong values
and procedure is correct, then some mark should be
given.
• For geometrical construction it should be mentioned in
the question itself to ‘write the steps.’
8. SCIENCE
• Technical terms should be used in all the answers.
( formation of sentence can be changed)
• Type of short answer questions that can be asked
i) True and false , if false correct it,
ii)select odd one out,
Iii) match the following
iv) Fill ups.
• Rewriting the statement in true/false, fill up and match the following is
compulsory.
• If the question to select odd from the following, then justification should
be given with the answer ( if it is not given then no marks should be
given.)
• MCQ should be avoided
• Fill ups should be given in twisted form
Eg ear…………… auditary nerve then
eye……………..?? ( answer optic nerve)
9. • Valency, formula , balancing complete equation ( 1 mark each)
• If the balancing equation is not reduced to simplest ratio then no
marks, in lower classes some marks may be deducted.
• If the chemical formula is not written correctly then do not give any mark
at all . Eg Write chemical formula of Ammonium Chloride.
( NH4)2 CO3
But if child writes NH4CO3
Do not give marks at all
• Diagrams to be drawn only with pencil( whereas in physics some times
rough diagram is needed to solve the question which can be drawn with
pen)
• In case of differences or similarities between two things both the points
should be correct, if either of the points is incorrect ,then do give any
mark to that point.
• The use of words like element/compound should be checked, deduct
some marks if wrongly used ( shows the clarity of concept)
• In lower classes spellings of technical term should be considered , so that
they are trained properly.
• In physics direction of incident beam,direction of current in the circuit
should be shown.
10. HISTORY AND CIVICS
• If in an answer concepts are right but technical terms are not
written the deduct half mark
• If self explanatory statement is there then statement is not
required:
eg What is ordinance?
ordinance is self explanatory law. ( mark can be given)
But if the child, writes ordinance can be issued by president when
both the houses are not in session ( here no key word then half
mark can be deducted.
• Three points to be written for three marks,to the point( with
explanation for long answers.)
• Look for the quality answer not quantity
• Some marks should be awarded if the child has written few relevant
answer
11. GEOGRAPHY
MAP Work
• Accuracy to be seen ,if the place is shown half cm away
from the exact location then ½ mark to be deducted.
• Has to be done according to instruction
• Has to be done with sharpen pencil , colour pencils can be
used(Brown ,blue and yellow)
Subjective questions
• Give reason 1 mark for each point
• Eg name any two regions where tropical evergreen
vegetation is found in India. ( ½ + ½ )
Name any two tree or economically useful plants?
( ½ + ½)
