Blooms Taxonomy Reflection Paper
Blooms Taxonomy suggests that learning can be maximized when a person is provided a variety of
opportunities to apply foundational knowledge. Therefore, in addition to my primary responsibilities
for teaching and clinical supervision, I have integrated various innovative teaching activities that
have resulted in various research–related products created by the student participants. Based on my
clinical expertise in pediatrics, I have emphasized finding activities that are pediatric–based as
students traditionally have limited exposure to pediatric content and pediatric clinical experiences as
compared to other areas of specialty practice. To do this, I have taken advantages of the community
connections and partnerships I have developed as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Transitioning From High School At College Is Always A...
Transitioning from high school to college is always a struggle for any young adult. The idea of
picking your own classes, living on campus, and separating from lifelong friends is extremely
overwhelming to process. However, when transitioning to college you are now back in the
underclassmen category and must work your way back up the "status ladder." College opens up a
new world that individuals must explore in order to make the best of their first year. But no matter
what college we attend, our freshman year of college will always have a strong impact on our lives.
Over the years as music, technology, television shows, and trends become different, our experiences
and memories of freshman year will never change. So when interviewing my Great Aunt Arlene
"Dudie" about her freshman year of college, I visualized her journey and what her experience was
like attending Illinois State University beginning in June of 1977.
Speaking with her about her life as a college student back in 1977 allowed me to share another
amazing moment with her that I will never forget. My great aunt is an expressive, sociable,
intelligent, and versatile woman. I am honored to be writing about such an awesome individual such
as my aunt. When I asked my aunt what she enjoyed most about Illinois State, she replied "ISU was
(and still is) a great university. Coming from a small town, I enjoyed meeting more African
American students from different areas of Illinois." I definitely shared the same feeling as

Reflection Paper On Figure Skating
The second my feet lifted off the soap–caked floor, I felt different. The skin on my neck was
tingling, adrenaline was racing through my body, and my bones were engaged in a newfound
excitement. My mother was wrong. The bathroom floor is a fun place to go "figure skating" on soap
suds. My sister, Emily, and I began our skating journey at Kent State University, where we had been
enrolled in "Learn To Skate" classes for as long as we could remember. Spinning circles faster than
a horse around the kitchen table in our socks was a common occurrence. We were perpetually
moving.
Thus, it should not have been a surprising event when one lazy Saturday morning, Emily and I were
sitting around playing dolls as we waited for our parents to wake up. For a six and nine year with
the energy of a small volcano, it was as boring as sitting and watching paint dry. It is my Achilles
heel to cause trouble when my mind is not stimulated, so I ventured off down the hall into the
bathroom to see if there would be anything interesting to do there. My sister grabbed my hand and
pulled me into a somewhat tangled, clumsy dance that was supposed to represent the figure skating
we did at Kent. We couldn't have looked much better than the Cleveland Browns playing football,
but for us, we felt as if we would be going to the Olympics in figure skating within the next few
weeks. However, spinning around in our socks eventually grew tiring, as well, so we looked for a
way to make the bathroom floor truly

Essay about The Man Store
The Man Store We have put our heads together and come up with a store idea and strategy that we
believe has the opportunity to grow and thrive. The idea is totally unique, not only to San Angelo,
but to most of the country as well. We will look at several factors vital to setting up the store as
effectively as possible. The parts we will focus on include the following: situation analysis,
objectives, identifying customers, competitive advantages, the overall strategy. We will also define
and consider the uncontrollable factors that effect any retail company. Situation Analysis Mission

It was decided that the only sensible ownership structure was a partnership. The benefits, profits,
risks, losses will be shared equally by both owners. The only drawback considered was the
possibility of arising feuds do to liabilities and non–partisan decisions, however both men are
sensible businessmen who have grown up and worked well together for years. Another attraction to
a partnership structure was the single taxation, which is not always the case with a corporation.
Since both men possess a high level of business and retail savvy they will also manage their store.
The men want to be as involved as possible in the operations of their store, and hiring a professional
management team would substantially raise costs. Goods & Services: The Man Store is a classified
as an apparel group, which is a type of non–durable goods store. The men who had a dream of
owning their own business realized quickly that a men's clothing store would best suit their desires

West Texas to open up their idealistic men's store. As boys, Fred and Barnie grew up together in a

Arkansas State University : A Long Way Over The Years
History
Arkansas state university has a long history that goes back many years, at one time it was not even a
college. It has come a long way over the years and here is a brief history of the school. Arkansas
state university was founded in April, 1909, by Act 100 of the 37th Arkansas General Assembly as 1
of 4 AR high schools to teach agriculture, horticulture, and the art of textile manufacturing. Victor
C. Kays was hired as the 1st principle, he soon began hiring staff. The staff was made of a secretary,
a superintendent of farms, and a superintendent of residence halls. Any work not done by staff was
done by the students, who paid no tuition, but had to work on the school campus. Despite its

12, 1931, the first day of spring semester classes. In spite of the total loss, the Principal found
temporary class locations around campus, and classes continued on schedule. Construction began
immediately on a new Administration/Classroom Building, which opened in 1932. It was named
Wilson Hall, after Trustee R. E. Lee Wilson, who provided most of the men, equipment, and mules
for the construction of the new building. By the 1930s, the academic program had changed into a 4
year college. The following year, the name was changed to Arkansas State College. Graduate
programs at the master 's level were offered beginning in 1955, and that year saw a major change.
Walter Strong, Fred Turner, and Larry Williams became the 1st black students on campus and,
although Williams dropped out before graduating, Strong and Turner went on to become the first
black graduates. In 1970, Turner returned to the campus as the 1st black ROTC instructor. During
the 1950s, Arkansas State 's growths rapidly outgrow other schools. The school began comparing
itself to the University of Arkansas. Thus, as the 50th anniversary of the school approached, they
began a campaign to get university status. They were successful eight years later. On Jan. 17, 1967,
the college became Arkansas State University.

Essay Penn State Scandal
The Jerry Sandusky case had a major impact on Penn State. It affected both academics and athletics
in a major way. In this essay I will discuss the situation that occurred and the impact that the social
media had on this once great school. Jerry Sandusky is a retired American football coach. He was
the assistant coach at Pennsylvania State University under the legendary Joe Paterno for 30 years.
He was the defensive coordinator for the football team. He is also the founder of The Second Mile.
The Second Mile is a non–profit organization that serves underprivileged youth. This is where Jerry
Sandusky had met many of his victims. On November 5th, 2011, Jerry Sandusky was arrested and

following the Penn State child sex abuse scandal. Tim Curley was the athletic director for Penn
State and Gary Schultz was the Vice President. After it was revealed that they failed to report the
incident to authorities, both of these men were fired by the board. The FBI had stated that after
conducting an investigation that these senior officials had known about Sandusky's actions as early
as 1998 and had failed to disclose this information to authorities. On October 9, 2012, Jerry
Sandusky was sentenced to a minimum of 30 years and a maximum of 60 years in prison. Spanier,
Curley, and Schultz have been charged with grand jury perjury, conspiracy, obstruction of justice,
and child endangerment in association with the scandal. Paterno and McQueary never had any
charges pressed on them because they did what they were obligated to do. McQueary had reported
the incident to his superior which is Joe Paterno. Joe Paterno also reported the incident to his
superior who is Curley and Schultz. This whole situation caused a huge reaction nationwide. The
media had criticized the University for being so irresponsible. Many radio stations and newspapers
harshly criticized the school for this scandal. Many people had criticized McQueary for not
protecting the child that was being raped by Sandusky. The media criticized him for not protecting
the child and reporting it to

Cleveland State University: A Case Study
As the population increase, the number of student admissions each year is rapidly increasing as
well. Some colleges see that as an opportunity to profit off of student via multiple resources such as
parking, tuition, books and on campus dining. These funds can be utilized and distributed much
better if the university invests in their students and the organizations that they are in. To begin, the
campus has many clubs and organizations on campus but to begin every semester Cleveland State
University has small events in the Students Center where they give away free food and T–shirts;
even though it is a nice gesture it is just a waste of student's tuition money and they are not fun.
Cleveland State could fund a few clubs or organization ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is ridiculous because college tuition is already so expensive that the stores on campus should be
somewhat affordable. Instead of printing out all those free shirts to hand out Cleveland state can just
lower the price for their spirit gear in the store. The campus also has an Outtakes store located in the
student center if students want to buy snacks which are very convenient but the items in the store are
also pricey. There are snack that I can find three times cheaper in other stores than from what they
sell from there. The dining restaurants on campus are also very pricey. For example the Chop it Up
restaurant charges about eight dollars for a salad that is not very big or filling. Then you have Chili's
which also has salads around eight or nine dollars but their portions are slightly bigger. Cleveland
State should provide more food options that are more affordable, it could even bring up profits
because more people would be willing to buy reasonably priced

Central State University 's Theatre Production Performed...
Metropolitan State University 's Theatre Production performed, "God 's Country." This play was
written by Steven Dietz in 1988. It revolved around a white supremacist group called The Order.
This group was led by Robert Jay Matthews and during the presence of The Order, Matthews
organized the members to perform various illegal acts to earn money for the groups cause. The
illegal acts led to a court trial that occurs during the play because The Order, was being prosecuted
for the assassination of radio host, Alan Berg. During MSU Denver 's production of "God 's
Country," the elements of the play that stood out the most were: the success of one particular
character, growing to dislike a character, and the small amount of props that were used.
On opening night of "God 's Country," produced by Metropolitan 's Theatre, one character seemed
to be more successful than any of the other characters and that was the boy. The boy in this
production was portrayed by a girl, but gave an outstanding and very believable performance. At the
beginning of the play there was a scene where all the kids were playing recess games, but the boy
was so much more believable in this scene than any of the other characters. This girl was dressed
like a boy, no makeup, and her movements were so well performed to distinguish her true self from
the boy in which she played. It was so believable that for awhile, you were not quite sure if this
actress was either a younger boy or a student at MSU Denver.

As a son of a sharecropper and grandson of a slave, Jesse Owens created History in 1936 when he
achieved what no athlete had done before: four Olympic Gold Medals. (jesseowens.com). During
this era, the United States had limited civil rights and was approaching a World War with Hitler
rising into power in Germany. Although Owens was victorious on the track, because of the color of
his skin, He was looked down upon and unrecognized by even his own country. Through the
excessive racism, one may ask how Owens moved forward and dealt with such negativity in a
situation that should have been celebrated.
Henry and Emma Alexander Owens gave birth to James Cleveland Owens on September 12, 1913
in Alabama (www.jesseowens.com). At the age of nine, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Despite such success, Owens did not have the privilege to the luxuries of his fellow white
teammates. Owens had to stay in "black–only" hotels and restaurants. And although he deserved it,
he was not offered any scholarships because he was Black and therefore was forced to work part
time in order to pay for his education.
On May 25th, 1935 Jesse Owens set three world records in a span of forty–five minutes at the Big
Ten Championships in Ann Arbor(www.jesseowens.com). Despite his sore back that day, he
achieved a 9.4 second victory in the 100–meter dash, long jumped 26 ft. 8 ¼ inches, sprinted at 20.3
seconds on the 220–meter sprint, and succeeded in the 220–yard low hurdles at 22.6 seconds.
Owens's achievement stands as perhaps the best single–day accomplishment of any track–and–field
athlete history. Because of such great success, Owens entered the 1936 Olympics that were to be
held in Berlin, Germany.
Hitler was rising into power in Germany and it is said that he tried to use the Olympics in order to
show the world a resurgent Germany (www.jesse–owens.org). Nazi propaganda promoted concepts
of "Aryan racial superiority" and depicted Africans as inferior. Hitler wanted the entire world to
believe that the Aryan people were a dominant race. Owens had different plans, as he achieved four
victories during the Track and field Olympics. On August 3rd Owens won the 100–meter dash at
10.35 seconds against Ralph

Essay about My Fantastic Freshmen Roommate
When I told people that I was going to Ball State University they then went on to ask who I would

that if I chose a random roommate It would most likely turn sour. They were so wrong. I was

remember is to go into it with an open–mind.
Natali was on her way out when I arrived to unpack all of my stuff.
"Hey! I'm Natali. Natali Bacon." Just hearing her last name made me laugh on the inside. Other than
the quick hellos that we exchanged earlier that day we didn't see each other until later on that night.
It was awkward to say the least almost like when you are stuck in an elevator with a complete

part you can imagine that it was still pretty uncomfortable. We both gave it time and after spending
two full days inside together due to the scorching temperatures outside we slowly found out how
alike we were. We both loved the same TV shows like New Girl, Dexter, and Breaking Bad.
Literally we watched almost a complete season of Dexter together before the first day of school
even started. I just remember thinking to myself during my first night at Ball State, "I am so glad
everyone was wrong". Natali turned out to be a superb roommate. In the beginning I wasn't looking

THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN AN ADDITIONAL ASSESSMENT AND A SPECIAL
ASSESSMENT IN A MICHIGAN CONDOMINIUM ASSOCIATION
As many new condominium co–owners are aware, the general operations of a condominium
association are funded through annual assessments. MCL 559.169 sets forth the requirements for
imposing assessments in a Michigan Condominium as follows:
559.169 Assessment of common expenses; contribution of co–owner.
Sec. 69. (1) Except to the extent that the condominium documents provide otherwise, common
expenses associated with the maintenance, repair, renovation, restoration, or replacement of a
limited common element shall be specially assessed against the condominium unit to which that
limited common element was assigned at the time the expenses were incurred. If the limited
common element involved was assigned to more than 1 condominium unit, the expenses shall be
specially assessed against each of the condominium units equally so that the total of the special
assessments equals the total of the expenses, except to the extent that the condominium documents
provide otherwise.
(2) To the extent that the condominium documents expressly so provide, any other unusual common

ay 9th, 2017 was the day that essentially my whole life had changed. Essentially for about ten days

about all the nights I had dedicated to my education rather than enjoy myself as a teenager. Through

person and will work on something until I have nothing left of me. Here at CSU, I have the ability to

History Of The Orangeburg Massacre
The Orangeburg Massacre "At 10:33 p.m. on the night of February 8, 1968, eight to 10 seconds of
police gunfire left three young black men dying and 27 wounded on the campus of South Carolina
State College in Orangeburg" (Bass). The previous event was reported in "Documenting the
Orangeburg Massacre." The Orangeburg Massacre was a shooting at South Carolina State
University (Pulaski). This massacre was a Civil Rights Movement protest that turned into a deadly
event. This deadly event killed three people and injured twenty–seven more (Bass). This massacre
consisted of the victims – the African Americans involved in the protest, and the guilty party – the
Highway Patrolmen who were the shooters of the massacre (Pulaski). This event was an unfair
attack on the African Americans involved in this protest because they were unarmed and defenseless
from the attack (Pulaski). Because of the conflicts over the Civil Rights Movement specifically in
Orangeburg, South Carolina, African Americans involved in the protest were forced to compromise
by serving prison time because of their actions. With this in mind, the Orangeburg Massacre was an
unfair event because the African Americans were protesting peacefully for their own rights and for
equality (Pulaski). One of the main reasons for this is that during the time of this massacre,
segregation and discrimination were both going on (Fitts). It was during the time of the Civil Rights
Movement (Bass). The African Americans had protests

Personal Values And Values
1. The UA College of Medicine – Phoenix values its culture, curriculum, and the community it
serves. Which aspect(s) do you value the most? (required, 350 words max)
Health, humanity, and human connection are a few of the values which I hold to the highest regard.
Health, because of its central importance to human happiness and well–being. Humanity, because of
the uniting and healing powers of compassion and love. And human connection, because of the
sense of belonging, identity, and support that is provided through our meaningful relationships with
others. These values are particularly important to me due to their necessity in not only the longevity
of life, but in living a life of worth and quality. We learn from the experiences and insights of others,
and we learn together in our pursuit of new experiences alongside those whom we befriend. These
experiences and connections play an important role towards small and largescale economic
progress, personal and populational health improvements, and the entwined facets of happiness and
productivity. In a more role specific sense, these values are of the utmost importance to me because
I believe that the best care is given by a physician who truly cares for and understands their patients,
allowing them to improve their patient`s outlook on and quality of life, as well as their health. The
experiences that I have gained from overcoming adversity within my own life have instilled within
me the desire to become a leader that

talent level of the defense as an entirety. It is hardly advertised that of the six teams that Michigan
State has played this year, not one, but two, Oregon and Air Force, are ranked in the top 6 of overall

closer to their yards per game average of 335.4 yards per game falling 57 yards shy. While this does
not seem all that impressive, it is imperative to realize that with the triple option scheme that Air

touchdowns allowed through the running, which Michigan State was able to succeed in only
allowing two rushing touchdowns, holding them to

Essay on Jerry Sandusky Case
Naomi Abreu
Currently in the news, there is a major event that pertains to the topic of the psychology of trauma.
This event is the investigation of Jerry Sandusky and his alleged conviction of sexual abuse. Jerry
Sandusky, an assistant football coach at Penn State University, has been accused of sexually abusing
boys in the basement of his home and in the school workout room and locker room. This
investigation was triggered by one of the victims who went to the police and since then, more
victims have come out as well. This boy stated that the attacks lasted for about four years. Jerry
Sandusky met the boys though a foundation he started to help at–risk youths in 1977 called The
Second Mile. So far there have been eight ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, I would have to agree with the first half and say that Joe Paterno's actions were
inadequate. Although Joe Paterno reported what he saw to the Penn State president his responsibility
shouldn't have ended there. Yes, he fulfilled his obligation to report any illegal actions on campus
but when the Penn State President chose not to take legal action Paterno should have made the
moral decision and had gone to the authorities. Legally, he fulfilled his obligation and therefore no
longer holds any responsibility in the eyes of the legal system. In the eyes of morality though, his
responsibility in the matter was not over just because he reported it to who he was supposed to. This
major problem should have been dealt with a long time ago. It's just a moral obligation that Joe
Paterno should have acted upon. So yes I feel he deserved to be fired. Everyone who knew about it
should have reported it to legal authorities. His great athletic achievements and mutual respect
should have pushed towards the issue being resolved and not swept under the rug for it to come out
years after and now resulting in him being fired. Every action has a reaction and in this case the
reaction is due to Paternos lack of action.
The child sex abuse scandal overall is a public relations disaster that the university is likely to be
dealing with for years to come. I definitely don't believe this case was

Jesse Owens Research Papers
Jesse Owens' full name was James Cleveland Owens. Jesse was born on September 12, 1913 in
Oakville, Alabama and died on March 31, 1980 in Tuscan, Arizona. As a kid he was expected to
work in cotton fields even when he was sick. He was sick with chronic bronchial congestion and
pneumonia. While he was in the fields Jesse had to carry 100 lbs. a day. On Sundays he had to go to
church and on Sunday nights he went to bed as soon as the sun went down. He went to bed that
early because he had to get up at 4:00 in the morning to work the fields. When Jesse turned 9 he
moved to Cleveland, Ohio. Jesses' father had trouble keeping a steady job, so his mom got a job as a
cleaning lady. While his parents were working his older brother and sister watched ... Show more

wouldn't do was give him a job. After he retired from running he opened a business in Chicago,
Illinois. The business was public relations and marketing. He traveled around the United States to
attend conventions and other business gatherings. Jesse was wanting to be in baseball or football. At
the time African Americans weren't allowed to play in either sports. A good thoroughbred is twice as

race he learned that the hoarse was actually ten yards behind him. The things he didn't like about
racing horses was that he was away from family. He wasn't sure if it was participating in athletic
events or making a spectacle of himself. Finally Jesse quit and went back to Cleveland. In Cleveland
he went to work at the playground. One night he was visited by someone from Australia. He and
Jesse talked about the Olympics. Around nine o'clock the Australian left. Jesse moved to Detroit.
His mother died and soon after his father did too. Detroit and Cleveland had made bad memories for

Graduation Speech : College And Transferring
For a long time, I have been unsure about college and transferring, specifically. However, after this
class I am 100% certain of what I plan to do and how I plan to do it. It has given me clarity through
extensive direction and preparation. Originally, I had three of my top choices up in the air, them
being Appalachian State, Gardner–Webb, and ETSU. However through careful deliberation and
discussion with family, I have chosen my top choice. My first choice is Appalachian State, followed
by Gardner–Webb and ETSU, in that order. I chose this school due to its proximity to home, which
is very important to me. I prefer to be closer to home because, I love my family and all too often do
I run into a problem that my family can easily alleviate. Money was also obviously a big concern of
mine, especially after my dad has sent three previous children through college. Nearly all of which
were overlapping each other. App. State has a reasonable and affordable tuition for our budget. I
also chose this school for its familiarity. I have made a college visit to this school while in high
school several years back. I also have been around the campus several times after attending their
summer wrestling camp every year since being in 7th grade. The combination of all these reasons
could be enough to transfer however, one of the biggest reasons for my interest is their reputable
business program. I plan to major in Marketing, which falls under their prestigious Walker School

Career Research: A Career as a Social Worker Essay
I chose social working as my career because many other people go through tough situations and
have a difficult time talking to relatives or friends to help them through a tough situation. I thought
of becoming a social worker so I can have the ability to change the lives of others. Social work is
one of those careers you can truly make a difference in people's lives. I want to become a social
worker because life isn't about just helping yourself it's about helping others as well, which is what
social workers do for a living. Child and family social workers protect children and families in need
of assistance. Many families and children don't feel comfortable talking to just anyone about

helping people face problems that they can't face on their own. I love working with children,
families, and being able to experience working with others and helping them face obstacles that

be helping these people overcome obstacles they thought they'd never overcome. While growing up

The War Of The Vietnam War
During the 1960s and early 1970s, the Vietnam was the most talked about issue of the time. Due to
the high number of American casualties, and the troubling images that were broadcast on the nightly
news networks, the opposition of the war rose drastically. Many argue that the climax of the anti–
war opposition occurred in May of 1970 on the campus of Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. It
was during an anti–war protest that the Ohio National Guard opened fired on the crowd, killing four
students. The country, torn apart by the war, saw the support for the soldiers decrease. In the years
that followed Kent, President Nixon began to bring troops home from Vietnam. Expecting a hero's
welcome back to the states, similar to what their parents had received following WWII; Vietnam
Veterans received quite the opposite. At airports that soldiers were returning to, many protests
occurred, shaming the soldiers for their actions during the war. Many of the veterans returning home
Vietnam found it hard to find work because too many people had developed a hatred for them due to
the war. Congress confronted the growing problem of discrimination against these Veterans by
taking action in 1974. Congress passed the Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance Act
(VEVRAA) to combat the discrimination problem that the veterans were dealing with. According to
the United States Department of Labor website, the VEVRAA "requires covered federal government

qualitative measures and survey tools that focus on empathy and competencies for working within

recommended the use of pediatric based experiential–learning opportunities as a mechanism in
achieving the five essential core competencies during pediatric physical therapy education.

participated in service learning activities, including having a greater understanding of the patient's
environment as well as improved problem–solving and clinical skills. (Schreiber) While engaging
with children attending Sensory Friendly Time (SFT), students will be provided a practice–based
opportunity to work, hands–on with the child as well as interacting with students from other
disciplines. As only 7% of programs require a pediatric clinical educational placement, developing
formal, pediatric, practice–based experiences is critical to allow students to practice psychomotor,

The Today 's Soccer Big West Conference Championship Game...
The live sporting event that I chose to observe was the 2015 Woman's Soccer Big West Conference
championship game with Cal State Fullerton competing against Cal State Long Beach. The game
took place on Sunday, November 8th at 1:00pm at Cal State Fullerton. This game is significant
because it determines who wins the Big West and who qualifies for the NCAA tournament, so
pressure on the players and intensity are very high. Throughout the game, I observed the game as a
sport psychologist professional and observed the player's and coach's behaviors that relate to Sport
Psychology. The three sport psychology concepts that were interpreted during the soccer match
were: situational awareness, arousal regulation strategies, and reinforcements.
One ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The player's situational awareness has a huge impact on the ball movement because they know
where each player will be during certain situations and are able to make quick decisions under
pressure, thus moving the ball more efficiently. Another observation that portrays situational
awareness was when the goalie of Cal State Fullerton predicted where the ball was going to be
kicked during the attempted score of a Long Beach State player. Instead of waiting for the opponent
to kick the ball and then reacting, the goalie predicted where the ball was going to travel and jumped
as the opponent was making the kick to deflect the ball. According to Weinberg and Gould, athletes
who have good situational awareness, "always make it seem as if they are a step ahead of everyone
else." The goalie was able assess the situation quickly and stay a move ahead of her opponent
because she had been in this situation in the past. Her situational awareness gave her a competitive
edge, allowed her to make the appropriate decision, and prevented Long Beach State from scoring
any points. The second concept of sport psychology displayed during the soccer game was the use
of arousal regulation strategies. Arousal regulation strategies are methods that either increase or
decrease arousal levels of a person (Weinberg & Gould, 2011). It is crucial for athletes to be aware
of their psychological states so they can

The First Year Writing Program
Throughout the semester, the first year writing program gave students the privilege to become
improved writers. Students received the opportunity to identify their strengths and weaknesses and
come to a conclusion on what makes favorable writing. While writing the assigned essays this
semester, I realized being able to read and write about something that is relatable is extremely
critical. When an individual can relate to what they are reading, they will be more engaged
compared to reading a piece that fails to connect to them. Although the first year writing program
succeeded in building up better writers, there is always room for improvement. The program could
consider new pieces of work and content that is recent that students can form an opinion on and
relate to.
While writing, individuals should always keep in mind, honesty, personal experience, and sending a
message. Incorporating these values into a paper results in a piece of writing that is relatable and
clear to understand. Personal experience and examples provide a reasonable amount of evidence for
a reader. This will show that the topic being written about can happen and impact any individual.
Also, honesty is crucial when wanting to make a point about the topic being written about. Writing
that sends a message is essential due to the fact that the reader can identify that the author is writing
for a purpose and wants the reader to take away a lesson or idea from reading that piece.
Incidentally, my goals

contribution to football demonstrated by Bill Snyder proved beyond a doubt that the College

The Effects Of Huey Long 's Bills Affecting Our State
Has anyone here ever stopped and wondered why LSU is the size it is today or why there never
seems to be a shortage of schools wherever you go in the state. Whether you have or not, these are
both causes of Huey Long's bills affecting our state, also known as the reign of the Kingfish. Huey
Pierce Long was born on August 30, 1893, in the town of Winnfield located in Winn Parish to Mrs.
Caledonia Long and Mr. Huey Long, Sr. The young Huey was the seventh of nine children (his
younger siblings being named Earl and Lucille), and he lived the life of a farmer's child. Although
he lived in an environment that offered little time for leisure or even education, Huey's parents
emphasized education in each of their children's lives along with individual expression and
competition. The family was also a group of astute Christians with their daily Bible studies,
attending church twice a week, and frequent attendance to gospel revivals.
As Huey grew, there was no school for him to go too. Therefore, his mother home–schooled him
with his eight siblings until a formal education was accessible. While being homeschooled, Huey
studied penmanship, writing, math, history, classic literature, and poetry along with the Bible being
the mainstay of his teachings. By age eleven, Long started going to a public school in fourth grade.
He was far ahead and bored by the teachings. He eventually persuaded his teacher to let him skip
seventh grade. He further continued onto the completion of

Family Resource Centers Essay
Family Resource Centers
Half the children in this country live in homes in which one or both parents work. Twelve million
children in this country do not have health insurance, and over 4.5% of all children are victims of
suspected child abuse or neglect (Doktor and Poertner). Believe it or not, these are all indicators of
the demand for Family Resource Centers within our school systems. Many question whether Family
Resource Centers are worth the money the state pours into them. However, in serving students,
parents and teachers, there should be no question of their significance. Due to The Kentucky
Education Reform Act in the early 1990's we have seen the development of Family Resource

In an interview with David Messer (operator of the Olive Hill Family Resource Center) I learned
that the resource centers say, " Our mission with children is to help remove the physical,
educational, and social barriers in order to see them succeed in school." and that " Our mission with
parents is to empower them with resources and skill needed to meet the challenges in life." The
mission statement of the resource centers may vary according to the area, but most followed the
same concept. Growing up in a school system with Family Resource Centers, I must agree that they
live up to their mission statement. They try to remove education barriers by offering tutoring,
physical barriers by offering special education or medical assistance, and social barriers by
providing students with anything to help them not stand out in the crowd.
Family Resource Centers have a unique structure. Referring back to the Orientation Guide for
Newly Employed FR/YSC Coordinators published by MSU's College of Education, Like any
program, they have a director that is the supervisor over everything in the program for example
keeping track of the funding and programs offered and the staff. In addition to the director you have
the advisory councils. This group advises, councils and assists the center and it encourages
interaction among the community, the school and the center. It consists of ten to twenty members
that are made up of students, parents,

"Oranges"
By Gary Soto
Gary Soto was born April 12, 1952, in Fresno, California to Mexican–American parents. His
grandparents emigrated from Mexico during the Great Depression and found jobs as farm laborers.
Soto grew up poor in the San Joaquin Valley and learned that hard work pays off through chores,
such as moving lawns, picking grapes, painting houses, and washing cars.
When Gary was five his father died as the result of a factory accident, and his mother was left to

Brightness shows how much power the orange actually has. The references in the story build up the
power of the orange.
Soto talks about sacrifice, and we all go through that. What we do to please other people. The boy
had to give up his orange because he didn't have enough money. He told his girlfriend that she can
chose any kind of candy found in the isle, and she chose a chocolate bar that cost a dime, now the
boy only had a nickel and a pair of oranges in his pocket. Instead of feeling embarrassed and cheep
in front of his new girl, the boy decided to put up the nickel and an orange on the counter for the
saleslady.
Oranges are rare in the winter and their encounter might be precious. They convey a powerful
feeling. Making fire in the hands represents that he is in love. That he feels God like, he feels tough
like he can do it all when he's around his girlfriend.
The tone of the poem is simple with broken down sentences. Adolescent love is simple much like
childhood love. There are the sweaty hands, heavy breathing, butterflies in the stomach, but when
kids fall in love, its not true love, it most likely is just a crush. The words that are used in the poem
are not complex but short and meaningful. When reading between the lines, and reading the poem
more than twice, it is much easier to put two and two together and have a better

Areas for which I have demonstrated improvement longitudinally include citing more resources, as
early peer feedback identified a lack of evidence in my lectures/presentations. I also now provide
more frequent summaries throughout a lecture to ensure student understanding, as this was another
area noted in early peer evaluations that could be improved.
However, when I look at my peer evaluations collectively, I can still appreciate areas in which I can
make further improvements, including maintaining clear and consistent communication with my
students. For example, a comment was provided by my peer with the evaluation of DPT 788 in 2015
as follows: "...Dr. Wendland may wish to consider sending a few more emails/announcements to her
students throughout the course to facilitate interaction. Students are sometimes hesitant to bring
concerns about what is going on at their facilities to faculty, and I have found that "checking in"
with them on a regular basis can serve as a stimulus for them to bring concerns forward. I think it
also helps students who are doing well in feeling supported to hear from faculty in this manner."
After receiving this feedback, I began to implement different strategies to optimize the level of
communication with my students. In an evaluation completed by my peer the following year in
2016, it was noted: "[Dr. Wendland] has really fine–tuned her communications, is providing

The rhetoric that is used in Happy Valley appeals the audience's emotional and logical appeals.
Throughout the film, Bar–Lev introduces important key factors, like Sandusky's adopted son and
victim, Matt, Joe Paterno's wife, two of his son 's, students of Penn State University in 2011, as well
as researchers and historians involved with Penn State. Bar–Lev has them open up about their

The Economic Impacts of Budget Cuts to the CSU and UC Systems
This paper will focus on the economic impacts of the policy decision by California Governor Brown
to decrease funding of the California State University and University of California systems by way
of looking at the impact on the economy of less college graduates. I will do this by looking at two
variables. I will first look at the multiplier effect of the state putting money into the California State
University system and what will happen as a result of the divestment due to the budget cuts. I will
then look at the decrease in the median income due to the fact that the budget cuts will cause a
decrease in enrollment which means there will be fewer college graduates and college graduates

(California State Governor's Office) According to a report presented to the Office of the Chancellor
by IFC International for every one dollar spent by the state on the California State University system
"the CSU generates $5.43 for California's economy annually. When enhanced earnings by graduates
are taken into account, the annual return rises to more than $23 for each $1 invested." (ICF
International) This, however, does not necessarily mean than the $542.4 million in cuts is multiplied
by $23, resulting in a total decrease of $12.475 billion in spending. This is because the relationship
isn't necessarily completely linear. Since the decrease is only 8.5% then the relationship might still
be linear, which would mean that there will be $12.475 billion in spending lost. The other reality
might be that it is not linear, which would mean the total loss of spending would be less than
$12.475 billion.
Another area I will look at for the California State University system's budget cuts is the resulting
enrollment cuts. With less money coming in from the state the universities have to save money by
enrolling fewer students. However, the money cut from the CSU budget doesn't have a direct
relationship to a decrease in enrollment. The change in enrollment is determined by the universities
and is filled every semester. Enrollment is scheduled to decrease in

She became an animal scientist and a professor at the university. The protagonist, Temple Grandin,
was able to explain and describe very skillfully how a person with this condition feels, hears, sees,
perceives and thinks. She helps people peek inside the mind of a person with Asperger's syndrome –
which facilitates good communication and better understanding. She demonstrates the importance of
pictures in the mind of autisitc people and how powerful their visual skills can be. Another reason
why I think this movie is such a great, inspirational movie is because of how a woman with autism
can accomplish something so inspiring that shows people with autism shouldn't be viewed as
someone who can't do much or someone who doesn't have the skills and knowledge to do what
normal people can. Temple Grandin has probably made a big difference in what people think of
ones who have autism and I think that is great. Just because a person has autism doesn't necessarily
mean that people don't have autism should view them as someone lower than themselves. People
with autism are only stronger–willed and even though they may have difficulty with life, Temple
Grandin shows that it doesn't matter if you have autism or not because you can achieve your goals,
you just need that determination in your life. From this movie, I have learned that no matter how

He strangled and suffocated him and sat down in a chair to watch him die. Last but not least it was
Josie's turn. His first attempt of strangling her failed, so he forced her to walk downstairs in the
basement. There he put a noose around her neck and hanged her from a pipe, leaving her partially
undressed. He masturbated on her bare legs, leaving semen behind. After cleaning up the house a
little bit he took the family's car and drove it to a nearby supermarket. What Rader didn't know is
that the Oteros had three older children, who had already left the house that morning. Charlie,
Daniel and Carmen were the ones that found their parents dead that afternoon. Rader's next victim
was Kathryn Bright. He broke into her home and hid in the bedroom waiting for her to return home.
Again something went wrong for Rader, and Bright returned home, accompanied by her younger
brother Kevin. He surprised them and using his gun he forced Kevin to tie up his sister. Then he
took Kevin in another room, trying to tie him up with material found in the home. Kevin got loose
and Rader shot him twice in the head. Thinking Kevin was dead, Rader went on to work on
Kathryn. She resisted heavily and instead of strangling her, he ended up stabbing her multiple times.
During that time Kevin, who wasn't dead, fled the house and called for help. Rader was forced to
leave the scene quickly, ran to his car, and drove off. Kathryn died in the

Essay on Roy Lichtenstein
Roy Lichtenstein
Roy Lichtenstein was born in New York City on October 27th, 1923. He described his childhood as
quiet and uneventful. His father was a realtor; his mother was a housewife. Art was not taught at the
school Roy attended, but when he turned fourteen he began taking Saturday morning classes at the
Parson' School of Design. After he graduated from high school in 1940 he attended the School of
Fine Art at Ohio State University. He was drafted however in 1943 in the middle of his education at
Ohio State. While he was in the military he served in Great Britain and Europe. When he returned to
the U.S. in 1946, he completed his studies for his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree at Ohio State
University in 1949. After he got his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In 1969 he was given a retrospective at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York.
His career as an artist mainly started in 1951, he usually painted cowboys and Indians in various
modern art styles. In 1957 he tried his hand at Abstract Expressionism. What he is famous for
though is his works based on comic strips. This all began with a painting he made of Mickey Mouse
in 1960 for his children. By 1961 Lichtenstein was completely dedicated to the making of art from
mass–produced, merchandising images. His comic–strip paintings, such as Good Morning, Darling,
are blowups of the original cartoon characters, reproduced by hand, with the same technique of
benday dots and bright primary colors used in printing. This result was a blend of commercial art
and abstraction. He tried to use brilliant colors outlined in black to emphasis the visual impact.
These painting made him famous and the first one–man show of his comic strip paintings was in
New York City in 1962. It was a major success and by 1968 the interest in his artwork was
phenomenal. He has the distinction of being the first American artist to have an exhibition at
London's Tate Gallery. Lichtenstein continued in this area for a while, taking subjects from
sentimental
Romance magazines. He enclosed speeches in balloons and made landscapes in the
Comic–book style. He also dabbled in making statues during this time, which

  • 4. Transitioning From High School At College Is Always A... Transitioning from high school to college is always a struggle for any young adult. The idea of picking your own classes, living on campus, and separating from lifelong friends is extremely overwhelming to process. However, when transitioning to college you are now back in the underclassmen category and must work your way back up the "status ladder." College opens up a new world that individuals must explore in order to make the best of their first year. But no matter what college we attend, our freshman year of college will always have a strong impact on our lives. Over the years as music, technology, television shows, and trends become different, our experiences and memories of freshman year will never change. So when interviewing my Great Aunt Arlene "Dudie" about her freshman year of college, I visualized her journey and what her experience was like attending Illinois State University beginning in June of 1977. Speaking with her about her life as a college student back in 1977 allowed me to share another amazing moment with her that I will never forget. My great aunt is an expressive, sociable, intelligent, and versatile woman. I am honored to be writing about such an awesome individual such as my aunt. When I asked my aunt what she enjoyed most about Illinois State, she replied "ISU was (and still is) a great university. Coming from a small town, I enjoyed meeting more African American students from different areas of Illinois." I definitely shared the same feeling as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Reflection Paper On Figure Skating The second my feet lifted off the soap–caked floor, I felt different. The skin on my neck was tingling, adrenaline was racing through my body, and my bones were engaged in a newfound excitement. My mother was wrong. The bathroom floor is a fun place to go "figure skating" on soap suds. My sister, Emily, and I began our skating journey at Kent State University, where we had been enrolled in "Learn To Skate" classes for as long as we could remember. Spinning circles faster than a horse around the kitchen table in our socks was a common occurrence. We were perpetually moving. Thus, it should not have been a surprising event when one lazy Saturday morning, Emily and I were sitting around playing dolls as we waited for our parents to wake up. For a six and nine year with the energy of a small volcano, it was as boring as sitting and watching paint dry. It is my Achilles heel to cause trouble when my mind is not stimulated, so I ventured off down the hall into the bathroom to see if there would be anything interesting to do there. My sister grabbed my hand and pulled me into a somewhat tangled, clumsy dance that was supposed to represent the figure skating we did at Kent. We couldn't have looked much better than the Cleveland Browns playing football, but for us, we felt as if we would be going to the Olympics in figure skating within the next few weeks. However, spinning around in our socks eventually grew tiring, as well, so we looked for a way to make the bathroom floor truly ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The following year, the name was changed to Arkansas State College. Graduate programs at the master 's level were offered beginning in 1955, and that year saw a major change. Walter Strong, Fred Turner, and Larry Williams became the 1st black students on campus and, although Williams dropped out before graduating, Strong and Turner went on to become the first black graduates. In 1970, Turner returned to the campus as the 1st black ROTC instructor. During the 1950s, Arkansas State 's growths rapidly outgrow other schools. The school began comparing itself to the University of Arkansas. Thus, as the 50th anniversary of the school approached, they began a campaign to get university status. In this essay I will discuss the situation that occurred and the impact that the social media had on this once great school. Jerry Sandusky is a retired American football coach. He was the assistant coach at Pennsylvania State University under the legendary Joe Paterno for 30 years. He was the defensive coordinator for the football team. He is also the founder of The Second Mile. The Second Mile is a non–profit organization that serves underprivileged youth. This is where Jerry Sandusky had met many of his victims. Joe Paterno also reported the incident to his superior who is Curley and Schultz. This whole situation caused a huge reaction nationwide. Some colleges see that as an opportunity to profit off of student via multiple resources such as parking, tuition, books and on campus dining. To begin, the campus has many clubs and organizations on campus but to begin every semester Cleveland State University has small events in the Students Center where they give away free food and T–shirts; even though it is a nice gesture it is just a waste of student's tuition money and they are not fun. • 11. Central State University 's Theatre Production Performed... Metropolitan State University 's Theatre Production performed, "God 's Country." This play was written by Steven Dietz in 1988. It revolved around a white supremacist group called The Order. This group was led by Robert Jay Matthews and during the presence of The Order, Matthews organized the members to perform various illegal acts to earn money for the groups cause. The illegal acts led to a court trial that occurs during the play because The Order, was being prosecuted for the assassination of radio host, Alan Berg. During MSU Denver 's production of "God 's Country," the elements of the play that stood out the most were: the success of one particular character, growing to dislike a character, and the small amount of props that were used. On opening night of "God 's Country," produced by Metropolitan 's Theatre, one character seemed to be more successful than any of the other characters and that was the boy. The boy in this production was portrayed by a girl, but gave an outstanding and very believable performance. At the beginning of the play there was a scene where all the kids were playing recess games, but the boy was so much more believable in this scene than any of the other characters. This girl was dressed like a boy, no makeup, and her movements were so well performed to distinguish her true self from the boy in which she played. As a son of a sharecropper and grandson of a slave, Jesse Owens created History in 1936 when he achieved what no athlete had done before: four Olympic Gold Medals. (jesseowens.com). The previous event was reported in "Documenting the Orangeburg Massacre." The Orangeburg Massacre was a shooting at South Carolina State University (Pulaski). This massacre was a Civil Rights Movement protest that turned into a deadly event. This deadly event killed three people and injured twenty–seven more (Bass). This massacre consisted of the victims – the African Americans involved in the protest, and the guilty party – the Highway Patrolmen who were the shooters of the massacre (Pulaski). This event was an unfair attack on the African Americans involved in this protest because they were unarmed and defenseless from the attack (Pulaski). Because of the conflicts over the Civil Rights Movement specifically in Orangeburg, South Carolina, African Americans involved in the protest were forced to compromise by serving prison time because of their actions. With this in mind, the Orangeburg Massacre was an unfair event because the African Americans were protesting peacefully for their own rights and for equality (Pulaski). Due to the high number of American casualties, and the troubling images that were broadcast on the nightly news networks, the opposition of the war rose drastically. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The player's situational awareness has a huge impact on the ball movement because they know where each player will be during certain situations and are able to make quick decisions under pressure, thus moving the ball more efficiently. Another observation that portrays situational awareness was when the goalie of Cal State Fullerton predicted where the ball was going to be kicked during the attempted score of a Long Beach State player. Instead of waiting for the opponent to kick the ball and then reacting, the goalie predicted where the ball was going to travel and jumped as the opponent was making the kick to deflect the ball. According to Weinberg and Gould, athletes who have good situational awareness, "always make it seem as if they are a step ahead of everyone else." The goalie was able assess the situation quickly and stay a move ahead of her opponent because she had been in this situation in the past. Her situational awareness gave her a competitive edge, allowed her to make the appropriate decision, and prevented Long Beach State from scoring any points. The second concept of sport psychology displayed during the soccer game was the use of arousal regulation strategies. The program could consider new pieces of work and content that is recent that students can form an opinion on and relate to. While writing, individuals should always keep in mind, honesty, personal experience, and sending a message. Incorporating these values into a paper results in a piece of writing that is relatable and clear to understand. Personal experience and examples provide a reasonable amount of evidence for a reader. This will show that the topic being written about can happen and impact any individual. Also, honesty is crucial when wanting to make a point about the topic being written about. Writing that sends a message is essential due to the fact that the reader can identify that the author is writing for a purpose and wants the reader to take away a lesson or idea from reading that piece. • 28. Legendary Coach Bill Snyder If you are a sports person, you definitely know that team where it is really not a hard week of practice, its kind like a real relaxed week. Well, Kansas State Wildcats were like that before the legendary coach Bill Snyder ("Snyder return to K–State"). He is still at Kansas Stare and is coming up two 23 years as head coach. He actually retired in 2005. In 2008 he came out of retirement and resumed his coaching position at Kansas State. He is one of very few who have retired and return to the same team he left. Even after having to rebuild a team twice he still maintained a .664 Pct. The contribution to football demonstrated by Bill Snyder proved beyond a doubt that the College Football Hall of Fame should induct this very dedicated coach. He is worthiness for this reward is shown in his achievements and awards, impact on the fallowing communities and even the sport its self, and skill as a coach. One reason why Bill Snyder deserves this reward is due to all of his achievements and rewards. Throughout his career he has received just about every major award that can be given to a coach. One that is probably one of his favorites is when he was named the 32nd and 34th head coach for Kansas State, which is a very rare occasion ("Bill Snyder kstatesports"). It is also probly one of the biggest to all of the fans. Manly because after he left the team fell apart. It wasn't tell he came back that the fans could be proud to call themselves a Wildcat. • 29. The Effects Of Huey Long 's Bills Affecting Our State Has anyone here ever stopped and wondered why LSU is the size it is today or why there never seems to be a shortage of schools wherever you go in the state. Whether you have or not, these are both causes of Huey Long's bills affecting our state, also known as the reign of the Kingfish. Huey Pierce Long was born on August 30, 1893, in the town of Winnfield located in Winn Parish to Mrs. Caledonia Long and Mr. Huey Long, Sr. The young Huey was the seventh of nine children (his younger siblings being named Earl and Lucille), and he lived the life of a farmer's child. Although he lived in an environment that offered little time for leisure or even education, Huey's parents emphasized education in each of their children's lives along with individual expression and competition. The family was also a group of astute Christians with their daily Bible studies, attending church twice a week, and frequent attendance to gospel revivals. As Huey grew, there was no school for him to go too. Therefore, his mother home–schooled him with his eight siblings until a formal education was accessible. While being homeschooled, Huey studied penmanship, writing, math, history, classic literature, and poetry along with the Bible being the mainstay of his teachings. By age eleven, Long started going to a public school in fourth grade. He was far ahead and bored by the teachings. He eventually persuaded his teacher to let him skip seventh grade. He further continued onto the completion of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 30. Family Resource Centers Essay Family Resource Centers Half the children in this country live in homes in which one or both parents work. Twelve million children in this country do not have health insurance, and over 4.5% of all children are victims of suspected child abuse or neglect (Doktor and Poertner). Believe it or not, these are all indicators of the demand for Family Resource Centers within our school systems. Many question whether Family Resource Centers are worth the money the state pours into them. However, in serving students, parents and teachers, there should be no question of their significance. Due to The Kentucky Education Reform Act in the early 1990's we have seen the development of Family Resource Centers in Kentucky, and they are fulfilling ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In an interview with David Messer (operator of the Olive Hill Family Resource Center) I learned that the resource centers say, " Our mission with children is to help remove the physical, educational, and social barriers in order to see them succeed in school." and that " Our mission with parents is to empower them with resources and skill needed to meet the challenges in life." The mission statement of the resource centers may vary according to the area, but most followed the same concept. Growing up in a school system with Family Resource Centers, I must agree that they live up to their mission statement. They try to remove education barriers by offering tutoring, physical barriers by offering special education or medical assistance, and social barriers by providing students with anything to help them not stand out in the crowd. Family Resource Centers have a unique structure. Referring back to the Orientation Guide for Newly Employed FR/YSC Coordinators published by MSU's College of Education, Like any program, they have a director that is the supervisor over everything in the program for example keeping track of the funding and programs offered and the staff. In addition to the director you have the advisory councils. This group advises, councils and assists the center and it encourages interaction among the community, the school and the center. It consists of ten to twenty members that are made up of students, parents, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 31. "Oranges" by Gary Soto Essay "Oranges" By Gary Soto Gary Soto was born April 12, 1952, in Fresno, California to Mexican–American parents. His grandparents emigrated from Mexico during the Great Depression and found jobs as farm laborers. Soto grew up poor in the San Joaquin Valley and learned that hard work pays off through chores, such as moving lawns, picking grapes, painting houses, and washing cars. When Gary was five his father died as the result of a factory accident, and his mother was left to raise her three children with the help of her parents. Soto describes his family as an "illiterate" family. They did not have books and were not encouraged to read. In fact, Gary did not start writing poetry until he was in college. Soto talks about sacrifice, and we all go through that. What we do to please other people. The boy had to give up his orange because he didn't have enough money. He told his girlfriend that she can chose any kind of candy found in the isle, and she chose a chocolate bar that cost a dime, now the boy only had a nickel and a pair of oranges in his pocket. Instead of feeling embarrassed and cheep in front of his new girl, the boy decided to put up the nickel and an orange on the counter for the saleslady. Oranges are rare in the winter and their encounter might be precious. They convey a powerful feeling. Making fire in the hands represents that he is in love. That he feels God like, he feels tough like he can do it all when he's around his girlfriend. The tone of the poem is simple with broken down sentences. Adolescent love is simple much like childhood love. There are the sweaty hands, heavy breathing, butterflies in the stomach, but when kids fall in love, its not true love, it most likely is just a crush. The words that are used in the poem are not complex but short and meaningful. I Have Received Eight Peer Evaluations From My Colleagues I have received eight peer evaluations from my colleagues in the School of Health Sciences at Cleveland State University (see a sample of the complete peer evaluations in Section III.C.4.b). Three evaluations of my abilities as an instructor have been completed within DPT 776: Physical Therapy Management of Complex Conditions V, a class in which I am a core instructor and have expertise in the curricular content that focuses on the therapeutic management of pediatric neurological conditions. The cumulative ratings I received for DPT 776 improved from 3.61 to 4.09 [on a 5–point scale] from 2013 to 2015. Areas for which I have demonstrated improvement longitudinally include citing more resources, as early peer feedback identified a lack of evidence in my lectures/presentations. I also now provide more frequent summaries throughout a lecture to ensure student understanding, as this was another area noted in early peer evaluations that could be improved. However, when I look at my peer evaluations collectively, I can still appreciate areas in which I can make further improvements, including maintaining clear and consistent communication with my students. For example, a comment was provided by my peer with the evaluation of DPT 788 in 2015 as follows: "...Dr. Wendland may wish to consider sending a few more emails/announcements to her students throughout the course to facilitate interaction. Students are sometimes hesitant to bring concerns about what is going on at their facilities to faculty, and I have found that "checking in" with them on a regular basis can serve as a stimulus for them to bring concerns forward. I think it also helps students who are doing well in feeling supported to hear from faculty in this manner." After receiving this feedback, I began to implement different strategies to optimize the level of communication with my students. In an evaluation completed by my peer the following year in 2016, it was noted: "[Dr. Wendland] has really fine–tuned her communications, is providing excellent guidance/support to both ... When it comes to making decisions, older generations are held to a higher standard than younger generations. • 35. The Economic Impacts of Budget Cuts to the CSU and UC Systems This paper will focus on the economic impacts of the policy decision by California Governor Brown to decrease funding of the California State University and University of California systems by way of looking at the impact on the economy of less college graduates. I will do this by looking at two variables. I will first look at the multiplier effect of the state putting money into the California State University system and what will happen as a result of the divestment due to the budget cuts. I will then look at the decrease in the median income due to the fact that the budget cuts will cause a decrease in enrollment which means there will be fewer college graduates and college graduates earn more money than their non–graduate counterparts ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... (California State Governor's Office) According to a report presented to the Office of the Chancellor by IFC International for every one dollar spent by the state on the California State University system "the CSU generates $5.43 for California's economy annually. When enhanced earnings by graduates are taken into account, the annual return rises to more than $23 for each $1 invested." (ICF International) This, however, does not necessarily mean than the $542.4 million in cuts is multiplied by $23, resulting in a total decrease of $12.475 billion in spending. This is because the relationship isn't necessarily completely linear. Since the decrease is only 8.5% then the relationship might still be linear, which would mean that there will be $12.475 billion in spending lost. The other reality might be that it is not linear, which would mean the total loss of spending would be less than $12.475 billion. Another area I will look at for the California State University system's budget cuts is the resulting enrollment cuts. With less money coming in from the state the universities have to save money by enrolling fewer students. However, the money cut from the CSU budget doesn't have a direct relationship to a decrease in enrollment. The change in enrollment is determined by the universities and is filled every semester. Enrollment is scheduled to decrease in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Temple Grandin, a young autistic woman, is extraordinarily gifted. She has a remarkable connection to animals and a brilliant mind. This biopic follows Temple from her late teens –– as she struggles with both her own limitations and some narrow–mindedness in the communities around her –– to her startling first accomplishments. She became an animal scientist and a professor at the university. The protagonist, Temple Grandin, was able to explain and describe very skillfully how a person with this condition feels, hears, sees, perceives and thinks. She helps people peek inside the mind of a person with Asperger's syndrome – which facilitates good communication and better understanding. She demonstrates the importance of pictures in the mind of autisitc people and how powerful their visual skills can be. Another reason why I think this movie is such a great, inspirational movie is because of how a woman with autism can accomplish something so inspiring that shows people with autism shouldn't be viewed as someone who can't do much or someone who doesn't have the skills and knowledge to do what normal people can. Temple Grandin has probably made a big difference in what people think of ones who have autism and I think that is great. Just because a person has autism doesn't necessarily mean that people don't have autism should view them as someone lower than themselves. People with autism are only stronger–willed and even though they may have difficulty with life, Temple Grandin shows that it doesn't matter if you have autism or not because you can achieve your goals, you just need that determination in your life. From this movie, I have learned that no matter how small other people may think of you, you have the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

He masturbated on her bare legs, leaving semen behind. After cleaning up the house a little bit he took the family's car and drove it to a nearby supermarket. What Rader didn't know is that the Oteros had three older children, who had already left the house that morning. Charlie, Daniel and Carmen were the ones that found their parents dead that afternoon. What he is famous for though is his works based on comic strips. This all began with a painting he made of Mickey Mouse in 1960 for his children. By 1961 Lichtenstein was completely dedicated to the making of art from mass–produced, merchandising images. His comic–strip paintings, such as Good Morning, Darling, are blowups of the original cartoon characters, reproduced by hand, with the same technique of benday dots and bright primary colors used in printing. This result was a blend of commercial art and abstraction. He tried to use brilliant colors outlined in black to emphasis the visual impact.
