This is the pre proposal for my final major project

1. Tell me in no more than20 words, what is your
FMP idea?
I aim to create a 3 episode“Office-like” sketch
comedy show set in college.
Why have youdecided to makeit? I am a massivefan of bothversionsof the office
andhave always wonderedhow the concept
would work set in a schoolenvironment. Also my
pasttwo final major projects have been horror
themed and I wanted totake a different turn.
What aboutyourproject makesit importantto
you?
As I am I massivefan of the office and it’s way of
telling a story I havealways wanted to try out it’s
style andspecifically out it in a school
environment tosee how it would work out.

One of the obviousinfluences of my work is of
course ‘The office’ boththe British andthe
American version, ‘ParksandRec’ couldalso be
usedas a reference since it has the exact same
style.
What effect do youwant to haveon your
audience when they see yourproject?
I want my audience to feel relaxed and I my goal is
to makethem laugh, so therefore I need to write
a very funny script in order to amusethem. I also
want them to feel somesimilarities between
these characters and the real characters on the
office.
Describe the tone/mood/styleofyourproject
[which productiontechniques/characteristicsare
youemploying?]
The tone will be very light hearted and relaxing. I
intendto make it very easy to watch. I will need
the camera(s) to be handheld apart from when
we cut to aninterview with one of the characters.
Why have youdecided to makeyour project in
this style?
It is traditionalfor a show like the office touse
shakercam and cut to interviews in order to make
it feel like what we are watching is a real
documentary.
