2. What are we going to do?
 We are now going to revise the comedy topic we have
just finished – to make sure you are exam ready!
 You should create a PowerPoint over the course of this
lesson. The things you need to include in the
PowerPoint will become clear as you move through the
slides.
 Use a new slide for each topic discussed.
 Please email me your work

3. The Genre – answer the questions
on your PowerPoint
 How can we tell it is comedy?
 What locations would be typical?
 What kind camera work & editing would be typical of
British comedy?
 What themes and values would typically be present?
 Within your answers refer to ways in which the case
studies fit with the genre or break the conventions of
the genre.

4. Character Types
 Audiences know what to expect from the character if
they can be categorised- they understand the
characters role in the film.

5. Add to your PowerPoint
 For each type of character listed. Tell write about the
key features of the character type.
 Pick a character from the case studies: Love Actually or
Four Lion’s and explain how they fit the character type.
