4. ICT Based Lesson
Purpose:
• This is to be used for a lesson where use of video, animation,
audio, figures, data and even cell phone may be useful. It may
be in a situation when teacher and pupils are connected
through networking, internet or even internet seeing the
same screen as teacher.
• For instance lessons like: nuclear reactions, nuclear reactor,
solar system, volcano, environment pollution, energy changes
in chemical reactions, meiosis, mitosis, cosmos etc.
• The use ICT in the lesson enhances learning experience by
simulation or picture or video etc.
• Teacher need to plan the lesson in terms of slides, videos,
animations, graphs and the like.

6. Test based Lesson Plan
Purpose:
To learn
• how to test the learning outcomes
• how to prepare different types of questions
for evaluation
• learning different testing skills and testing
devices
• Classification of learning outcomes
7. Format of Test based Lesson
PT R. No.: Class: VIII
Subject: Date:
Topic: Heat: Definition, Measurement and modes of transfer Duration:
Objectives:
to evaluate students on learning outcomes
to expose learners to new dimensions of the concept by virtue of evaluation techniques and devices
Scope of the lesson- definition, units, measurements, modes of transfer, applications, relation between heat and
other entities
Type of evaluation
device
Domain category (following Revised Blooms Taxonomy)
Closed ended
questions, construction
type, fill in the blanks,
facts, figures, symbols
etc.
Knowledge
Define heat?
Name the unit of heat?
We measure heat by…………
Open ended questions,
situational questions,
comparison, classifying
etc.
Understanding
My doctor puts thermometer in my mouth to assess fever,
what actually he is measuring?
What is difference between a heater and geyser?
8. Format of Test based Lesson (Contd.)
Action , activity, demo, a
puzzle, a problem
solving
Application
How would it help when doctor says put wet
bandage/cloth on my head to reduce the fever?
Finding relation, sensing
difference or similarity
of pattern, explaining
exceptions, high stake
values etc.
Analysis
If black color absorb heat then why we put black goggles to
avoid heat?
Classifying, grading,
putting in order, judging,
Evaluation
How will you put following fuels in increasing order of
calorific value and why?
1. Methane gas 2. Coal 3. Candle wax 4. Petrol 5, kerosene
oil
Collection of facts,
examples, exceptions,
relation, organization
Creation
Find out relation between heat, work and power. Name a
phenomena, machine, instrument using all these.
9. Micro Teaching Lessons
Purpose:
• Training in skills
• Outlining important components and expected behaviors
for the skill
• Devices and techniques needed to practice a skill
• Nature of lesson to be selected for practicing a skill, for
instance for probing question skill we need to get a
puzzling question where as for fluency in questioning skill
needs easy content for practicing.
• Stages of the lesson where a particular skill could be
used, for instance questioning skill varies with stage of
the lesson
• Finally integration of skill as a part of macro lesson
• There is difference form skill to skill when we put a it in
written format
10. Format for a Skill Lesson
PT R. No.: Class: VIII
Subject: Date:
Topic: Heat: Definition, Measurement and modes of transfer Duration: 5-10 min.
Skill: Introducing a lesson
Objectives:
to learn about the skill in terms of its components, use, devices and techniques could be used etc.

12. Macro Lesson
Purpose:
• Planning for full scale teaching
• Sequencing the contents and events of the full
scale encounter
• Time and TLM management
• Using pedagogy for transacting, interaction,
assimilation, revision, summarizing and evaluation
• Understanding role of teacher and use resources
at disposal
• Thinking about possible teachable moments
during the lesson
13. Format for Macro Lesson

expresses itself in
the form of degree
of hotness
(temperature)

B B Writing
Mode of transfer of
heat
Three modes:
Conduction
Demonstrates heat
transfer with below
shown apparatus
See curiously and
respond to the
questions of the
teacher, also may ask
questions out of
curiosity
Modes of Heat
transfer
1. Conduction
2. Convection
3. Radiation
Convection Demonstrates by
heating a glass of
water and involves a
pupil in the activity
May ask question like
what is difference
between the two?
Radiation Demonstrate by using
a convex lens and Sun
light.
May ask question like
what is difference
between the three?
15. Format for Macro Lesson (Contd.)
Teaching
points/Subject matter
Pupil Teacher activity Pupils’ expected
activity
B B Writing
Sectional Recapitulation
Only set questions which avoids testing memory, like don’t ask define heat etc.
Questions must be of objective type of any sort.
Lesson continues
Final recapitulation
Still avoid testing memory, however reasoning, relation, classification, exceptions, pattern can be
asked
Home work:
should include lesson content, practice of things to be memorized for examination
Assignment:
should be a creative one, it should be problem not discussed in the class, but can be solved by
what has been taught in the class.
