1. SWOT ANALYSISStrengths
acting part of the video when I stared as the artists, lip
syncing and performing to Pink’s hit Try. Although
awkward, I was relatively comfortable in front of the
camera and did enjoy performing… something I can
hopefully transfer into my 3 minute video.
I also found that the actual filming aspect of the video was
another strength of mine for the pieces I filmed, playing
around with a few different angles when filming my friend
Tom play the guitar and drums (as featured).
To continue, I also found that I didn’t really struggle with
the editing software as my editing in my 1 minuet prelim
was very basic, however it did help me get a handle on
how the software works on iMovie. Something I will use in
the future.
Weaknesses
Due to the slight awkwardness I did find myself cringing and laughing when
filming the more performance parts of my prelim music video. To continue, I
also found that my lack of shot variation meant that my video looked very plain
and basic, although not an actual weakness I did find that it is something I need
to include and work on, furthermore I did find that although the editing was
basic I did find it hard to match the audio to my lip movements, especially on
the more closer shots that focus on my face, therefore something I need to
work on or research other forms of software that I can use to enhance the
audio quality as well as the matching to the video.
Threats
I found when filming that the weather was a big
factor as it did effect the lighting the later on in the
day I filmed, however I was very fortunate that the
lighting outside at the start of the video gave it a
very dream like yet natural effect that worked
perfectly, also the camera quality and the audio
quality and availability was another threat as it did
effect the way the video had to be filmed and
produced.
