The natural approach focuses on developing students' speaking and listening skills, with the teacher responsible for testing, motivating students, preparing engaging activities, and providing comprehensible instruction. Different approaches have varying views on teaching roles, and paradigms have shifted over time, with authors adapting methods to find the most effective ways of teaching.
1. Reflection Unit II
In the third unit about the approach my topic was the natural
approach, from this approach I learnt that the teacher is in charge of testing
students and also who motives them, that the teacher is a creator, who
prepare good classroom activities, maintain a good classroom atmosphere
and give comprehensible input to the students. Also that I learnt that the
main focus in the natural approach is the learning of speaking and listening.
Moreover, according to the presentations of my classmates, there
are different approaches which have different points of view on how
teaching, also that the paradigms were changing during the years and I also
was able to comprehend the different approaches and different roles of the
students and teacher in a class.
In my opinion, knowing how the approaches have been changing
throughout the years, tell me that authors have changed their main in order
to find the best ways of teaching something.
