1. I have chosen to use this image for my magazines contents page as I
felt this suited my genre more compared to the ones in which she is
wearing a jacket or making signs with her hand as they relate more
to hip hop, while my genre is R&B. The image I have chosen is more
formaland relates to the mise-en-sene of RnB as her clothes are
more suited for my genre. She is also holding a microphonein this
image, which suggests a music magazine, therefore I felt this image
was the best available to use for the contents page.

2. I chose to use this image of Runa for my front cover because
I felt that it would be easier to manipulate and edit so it
would be easier to achieve a white background using
PhotoShop. Also, she is looking directly at the camera in this
image, which is great for a main fron cover image as it helps
establish a connection with the audience, and adheres to
conventions of direct address on the front cover. Her
accessories are also more visible in this image, therefore I
used this image as it helps indicate the genre of the
magazine.

3. I also used this image on my front cover because I needed to add a puff
and include images of artists whose posters would be available in the
magazine. I used this image because I preferred the lighting in this image
more compared to the other image. This image also seemed easier to
edit.
