New minimum scores
A score of at least 7.0 in each of the
four areas tested (speaking, listening,
reading and writing)
And an overall score of at least 7.5
Only the academic version of the
IELTS test is accepted.
8. Some Keys to Success
• Make English personal
• Consume subjects in English that you enjoy
• Language absorption will be faster
• Be aware of what could appear on the exam
• Subjects – know what subjects (i.e., education, work, weather)
could be on the test and be versed in them.
• Recent questions – be aware of what trends in questioning and

9. Some Keys to Success
• Establish a Routine (months before the exam)
• 2 hours of active listening a day (focused, taking notes
on what you are hearing. New vocabulary, new
phrases) This will help all aspects of language skills.
• 1 hour active speaking
• 1 hour active reading
• Coached writing
