LIT is a professional development program
designed:
– To create a culture of teaching excellence at the
Texas A&M University Libraries.
– Will leverage programing from external
professional sources with additional programs
developed in-house.

Scope
Teaching, learning, outreach, information literacy,
and educational technologies
Possible Formats
Webinars, Classes, Workshops, Conferences, Pre-
conferences, Brownbag, Open Forums,Trainings
Just Getting Started
L&O is working on planning the mechanics
– Scheduling & Calendaring
– Web presence
– Budgeting
– Workflows for getting the “labor” done
– Building feedback & assessment loops

• Limited number of pilot programs in 2014.
– Look for announcements in email
• Full scale roll-out in 2015.
