WHATSTHATMIX has a audience of male and females,
I ensured that there was something in the magazine
for both. Whether it be information on gigs or
articles themselves.
The Genre of my magazine is Dance music this is
because I have a large interest in DJ’s and how they
produce their work, it also helped that my brother is
also a DJ in London. So I knew this was something I
could make work.
The age I wanted to aim my magazine at was 16-21 this was
because I felt that this is the age I could best deliver my
magazine for. As I am around that age myself I know what
DJs and what music they are interested in and what they
want to hear about. For example, all different festivals and
their line ups, gigs which are a must see.
With the price I based it on my audience research, I also took
into account that we are all students so buying an expensive
magazine is not going to happen. I went with the price of
£2.50. Which is not too much and not too little.
My media product is aimed at young adults who enjoy
dance music and going to live gigs. Not only that it
is for the people who want to just keep up to date
with what songs are new and what is coming up
next.
It is also aimed at 16-21 year olds who are thinking of
becoming a DJ or someone who is simply looking for
someone to play at their venue. It is also aimed at
people who are interested in following artists such
as Calvin Harris and Disclosure.
