While working toward her degree in petroleum engineering at the Imperial College in London, UK, Edesiri Onatejiroghene Ibru was elected every year by her peers to be the petroleum engineering student representative. She went on to graduate with distinction from another degree program from the same school, this time in metals and energy finance. Edesiri Onatejiroghene Ibru currently serves as a corporate finance analyst at Lagos, Nigeria’s Midwestern Oil and Gas Company, and is also a non-executive director with Total Nigeria PLC.

2. Introduction
 While working toward her degree in petroleum engineering at
the Imperial College in London, UK, Edesiri Onatejiroghene
Ibru was elected every year by her peers to be the petroleum
engineering student representative. She went on to graduate
with distinction from another degree program from the same
school, this time in metals and energy finance. Edesiri
Onatejiroghene Ibru currently serves as a corporate finance
analyst at Lagos, Nigeria’s Midwestern Oil and Gas
Company, and is also a non-executive director with Total
Nigeria PLC.
Total Nigeria PLC is a marketing subsidiary of Total, a
company focused on the oil and gas industry in Nigeria. The
company provides service stations across the country that
offer petrol and diesel fuels for vehicles as well as kerosene
for household needs.

3. Total Nigeria Energy
 Gas stations also have convenience stores with
food and other common products available, with
many of the stations open 24 hours a day.
Total is also working on developing
environmentally sustainable energy solutions for
Nigerians, 120 million of whom currently do not
have access to electricity. Through the Total
Access to Energy Program, Total created a line of
solar energy products called Awango. Currently,
the line includes two solar energy lamps and a cell
phone charger that can provide sustainable
energy solutions to lower-income Nigerians. The
Awango lamps are available at Total’s service
stations.
