2. Introduction
 For the more than a decade, Edesiri Onatejiroghene Ibru
has held various roles within the petroleum industry in
Nigeria. Holding master’s degrees in both petroleum
engineering and metals and energy finance from Imperial
College London, she functions as a corporate finance
analyst at Midwestern Oil & Gas Co. Ltd. Edesiri
Onatejiroghene Ibru also serves on the Board of Total
Nigeria Plc.
A subsidiary of Total, Total Nigeria Plc creates quality
services and products that ensure customer satisfaction
within the Nigerian oil and gas industry. Toward this end,
the organization announced its investment in a new fleet
of trucks to transport petroleum products efficiently and
safely.

3. Total Nigeria Plc
 During 2017, Total Nigeria Plc plans on renewing roughly
20 percent of its current fleet. Its truck acquisition
scheme intends to improve Health, Safety, Security, and
Environment (HSSE) standards and benefit the
organization’s Transporters. These Transporters play an
important role in the scheme’s overall success, as they
must comply with truck maintenance programs to ensure
the vehicles stay safe. All truck drivers must also go
through routine training and adhere to the on-board
computer (OBC) rules.
Total Nigeria Plc initially added 70 new trucks, all of
which are managed by the company’s Transporters who
have access to technical assistance regarding their
operation, to its fleet in January 2017. In April, another
140 trucks were added to the fleet, bringing the total
number of new trucks to 210.
