7. When an administrator performs a search for an eBook in the Admin Portal and clicks on a
title, they will notice that a new field has been added to the title information section.
• Purchase Model: This will either denote whether the title is available for purchase under
the Credit Model or MUA model.
If it is a Managed User Access title, then there will be an additional field:
• Max Concurrent: this indicates the number of concurrent users that may view the title at
any given time. In the example above, 3 users may view the title at the same time, should
a 4th user try to access the content, they will be allowed to have a preview/rental and/or
be able to queue for the title to become available.

We have added an additional setting in the PDA Acquisition Setup screen in the Admin
Portal, to allow the auto-purchase (second copy) of a MUA eBooks based on the size of
the queue for a particular title.
By ticking this box, you are enabling an additional PDA trigger, that will allow the auto-
purchase of MUA titles, based on the queue size threshold.
This feature works in conjunction with the MUA PDA trigger as described above.
The user can enter a number in this field, which will then drive the auto-purchase of a
title, depending on the size of the queue for a title. For example, if this is set to 3, then
the 4th user to join the queue, will trigger the auto-purchase of the title.

9. It is important to note that the MUA Queue size trigger, can’t be used as part of the
AND/OR PDA rules (please see below) and operates independently to this.
For example:
The above PDA rules, still drive the auto-purchase of both credit and MUA titles.
The new MUA PDA trigger however, looks at the demand of an existing title and when
the queue threshold is met, it will auto-purchase another copy.
