What Is The End Of The Kite Runner
In the novel "The Kite Runner" Khaled Hosseini frames the book with similar scenes in beginning
and ending of the characters running after a kite because Amir's guilt doesn't leave him until the end
of the novel, where he finally feels like he is relieved from the emotions he felt for betraying
Hassan. The quote that is given is significant to the framing of the novel because it relates to how he
moved on from the tragedy that happened in the past and is no longer haunted by it after he
redeemed himself by saving Hassan's son, Sohrab.
The beginning of the novel starts with Amir looking back to the time he and Hassan were
participating in the kite running competition, the day that everything changes. As Amir runs into an
alley to find Hassan,

Regulatory Framework NELP (New Exploration Licensing Policy) is the new government policy
which is to have a direct impact on the E&P activity in India and an indirect effect on the refining
sector. This is to promote the participation of foreign companies in India and have a check on the on
the rising crude bill. In India one of the major problems is the price control that the government has
over selling end products what this has done in that made refining companies less profitable even
though this is done in the larger interest of the nation. The government is also planning to put in
strategic petroleum reserve but this on paper as of now. For India to sustain its economic growth this
sector is to play a vital role and the government understands this and doing all to liberalize it the
fullest.

Theme Of Gender Identity In Suffragette
The themes of gender identity defined in all three movies remain quite typical. The women in the
films identify with mostly feminine traits and vice versa. Maud in Suffragette believes herself to be
a mere helpless housewife who can only excel at laundry and house chores until she's told by
differently by other suffragettes and Ms. Pankhurst.
Opportunity and resources may just be a once in a lifetime or never to happen events in a
marginalized person's lifetime. To define in one word, they just might mean 'everything' to them. In
all three of these films we see how unfair and underprivileged these people's lives are.

In suffragette, Maud is dominantly feminine, even though a working woman, she is the caretaker
and managing all domestic work, she's very submissive at first, takes all orders from her husband

power, they have all the hegemony. Men can own property, vote, and hold custody of children.
Women are meant to be nothing more than their wives;
"You're a mother, Maud. You are a wife. You're my wife, and that's all you're meant to be." – (Sonny

Japanese Poetry: The Roles of Poetry in Narrative Prose...
The ninth century was one of major turning points of Japanese literature history, in which the kana
syllabary was developed, along with abolishment of the legation to China (Handout 8). Moreover,
the invention of the Japanese native writing systems served as a stimulus to the creation of a prose
literature, as well as the births of prominent female writers (Handout 8). Two types of the prose went
mainstream in the Heian literature: monogatari (tale) and nikki (diary) (Handout 8). Murasaki
Shikibu's Genji Monogatari (Tale of Genji) is probably the most famous work from the era and
therefore I will focus on it as an example in the monogatari genre in this paper; as for the second
genre, I will use Ki no Tsurayuki's Tosa Nikki (Tosa Diary) in ... Show more content on

twilight beauty flower. (p. 57)
Let me then draw near and see whether you are she, whom glimmering dusk gave me faintly to

Fujitsubo.
How glad I would be to pick and soon to make mine that little wild plant sprung up from the very
root shared by the murasaki (p. 113)

how attractive Genji was. The kakekotoba: 葵 and逢う日(NAC Hiroshima) is

The Growth Of Marine Diatom
Abstract
The growth of marine diatom, Chaetoceros muelleri, used as live feed in aquaculture, was optimized
using response surface methodology (RSM). The variables initially screened for biomass production
using Plackett–Burman experimental design were nitrate, phosphate, silicate, temperature, pH,
salinity and agitation speed. The screening revealed that nitrate, phosphate, silicate, temperature and
pH significantly influenced the biomass production of C. muelleri. These five variables were further
optimized by central composite design (CCD) of RSM for biomass production and the medium was
constituted accordingly to have nitrate 180 mg l–1, phosphate 7.5 mg l–1, silicate 30 mg l–1, and
temperature of incubation 31oC and pH 6.46. At the end of 10 day culture period under the above
conditions biomass, protein, lipid and carbohydrate were found significantly increased from 360
±0.01 mg l–1, 9.41±0.02%,18.11±0.01%, 0.6±0.02% to 1.16±0.01g l–1 ,

Kochi, Kerala. Our study made use of an observational model, the case control study, to possibly
explore and confirm the association between serum magnesium levels and its influence over
exacerbation of COPD as compared to those at stable COPD conditions. The study was done on 100
patients who were previously diagnosed with COPD.
Results: The mean magnesium values of stable COPD patients in our study averaged 2.08 and
2.06mg/dl for patients below and above 60 years of age respectively. Their corresponding mean
scores during exacerbation were 1.58 and 1.6 mg/dl respectively, which is significant.
Conclusion: There exists a significant role of magnesium during COPD exacerbation, as compared
to when they are stable.

2. Cigarette Manufacturing –
A. After the tobacco companies select and buy the tobacco from the warehouses, the tobacco is
cured and sent to the factories.
B. In the factories, the tobacco leaves are de–stemmed, cut into strips, and cleaned. As the cleaning
process is a very important step, some companies will chemically, electronically and manually clean
the leaves.
C. The tobacco is then steamed to make sure that the leaves will not become too dry and begin
crumbling. (Although the leaves will later be dried again for storage.
D. Next, the tobacco is aged, usually for about 12–18 months.
E. After aging, the tobacco is often combined with different flavorings, such as menthol, licorice,
maple syrup, or cocoa.
F. The flavored tobacco is then made into cigarettes with various cigarette making machines. The
tobacco is wrapped into cigarette paper, an adhesive is applied to the side to seal the paper, and the
cigarette is cut to the desired length.

that changes from soft to loud and has a more upbeat tempo. The second piece preformed was,
"Sedona" by Steven Reineke. I really like this piece a lot. It reminds me of Christmas and happy
times. I like how in the beginning the piece starts off softer, but you can still hear all the different
instruments playing their part. The tone of the flutes is very beautiful to listen to and I really enjoyed
how the piece slowed down to really enhance that sound. Overall, I really enjoyed this piece and it

sound to the piece. This piece has a very slow tempo which was hard for me to keep my focus on.

it goes back to being normal again. Overall, I had a harder time concentrating but I didn't mind it.

Exchange Rate Is The Price Of A Nation 's Currency
Exchange Rate
The exchange rate is the price of a nation's currency in terms of another currency. The domestic
currency and the foreign currency are the two components of an exchange rate. In a direct quotation,
the price of the foreign currency is expressed in terms of the domestic currency and the vise versa is
the indirect currency. Most exchange rates use the US dollar as their base currency and other
currencies as the counter currency. There a few exceptions, the Euro and commonwealth currencies

Company A builds automobiles in Japan, then exports to the US and Company B builds automobile
in the US and sells those automobiles in the US. Company A cost are 1.2 million yen ($10,000 US)
to make standard automobiles in Japan and it cost company B $10,000 to produce similar
automobiles in the US. The cost for both manufacturing companies are about the same, both
companies sell the similar automobiles for $15,000. This means both manufactures profit $5,000 on
each automobile which become 600,000 yen.
Exchange Is At 120 Yen/Dollar In a different scenario where the yen is 100 yen/dollar. Company A

Company A profits $3,000 per automobile , 300,000 yen and company B still profits $5,000 per

IPL
The Indian Premier League (often abbreviated as IPL) is a professional league for Twenty20 cricket
competition in India. It was initiated by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)
headquartered in Mumbai supervised by BCCI Vice President Chirayu Amin, current chairman &
commissioner of IPL, and CEO, Sundar Raman. It currently contested by 10 teams (franchises)
consisting of players from different countries. It was started after an altercation between the BCCI
and the Indian Cricket League.[5]
In 2010, IPL became the first sporting event ever to be broadcast live on YouTube.[6] Its brand
value was estimated to be around $4.13 billion the same year.[7][8] According to global sports
salaries review, IPL is the second highest–paid league, based on first–team salaries on a pro rata
basis, second only to the NBA. It is estimated that the average salary of an IPL player over a year
would be $3.84 million. The brand value of Chennai Super Kings (winner IPL 2010, finalist IPL
2008 and semi–finalist IPL 2009) is estimated at USD 48.4 Million

Metro Rail Services At Kochi City
1 Executive Summary
This project discusses the Metro rail services to be build in Kochi city. Rapid urbanization and
intense commercial developments in the recent past have resulted in steep rise in travel demand,
putting Kochi's transport infrastructure to stress. With mega projects such as 'SMART CITY, 'INFO
PARK', 'FASHION CITY' and "Vellarpadam Container Terminal", etc. on the anvil, travel demand is
expected to shoot up, strengthening the need for augmenting the transport infrastructure in Kochi
region. In the absence of a mass transport system, there has been a steep increase in the number of
personalized motor vehicles in GCDA area. The number of registered motor vehicles in this area
was 68,271 in 1987 and it grown to 4,46,959 in the year 2003. 64% of these vehicles are two
wheelers. This large number of motor vehicles is resulting in rise in air pollution, increased number
of road accidents, and slowing down of average vehicular speeds.
Peak hour traffic demand on Alwaye–Petta Corridor has been assessed as 13,681 phpdt for the year
2015 and this is likely to increase 21065 phpdt by the year 2025. Road–based public transport,
therefore, can not meet this demand. There is an urgent need to introduce a light Metro system in the
city to provide fast, safe, economic, and environment–friendly mode for mass movement of
passengers. Carrying capacity of Light Metro System is upto 25,000 phpdt, which will be adequate
to take care of the traffic problems for Greater Cochin

Inventory Mangement At Mcdonald ' S Essay
INVENTORY MANGEMENT AT MCDONALD'S:
This process begins from the procurement of raw materials from the suppliers. Raw materials
include cheese, sesame seeds, lettuce, vegetable products, etc. The various suppliers of these are:
Dynamix Dairy Industries Ltd, Pune for cheese and Trikaya Agriculture, Pune for iceberg lettuce
Chicken Patty from Vista Foods and vegetable patty from Kitran Foods, Taloja
Buns from Cremica Industries, Phillaur and Sesame Seeds from Ghaziabad.
These raw materials are then supplied to the distribution centers in lorries with three sections so that
they can be stored at proper temperatures– frozen, chilled and ambient. There are three main
distribution centers at Mumbai, Delhi and Kochi. McDonald's has both cold and dry storage
facilities where materials are stored in at suitable temperatures upto –22 degrees celsius. From these
distribution centers, the delivery trucks carry these materials to the outlets around 3–5 times a week,
where it is converted into the finished product.
McDonald's uses the First In, First Out inventory process, where the items received first, are the
ones which are used first. It uses Just–In–Time inventory system, where the raw materials are
received as soon as the order is placed and it produces and provides final products to consumers,
only when they place an order.

The Kite Runner Literary Analysis
The Kite Runner is a novel about Amir, a man who has encountered disturbing childhood incidents
that led to the turning point of his life. The story talks about the realization of Amir on how he had
treated his half brother, it also presents how Amir seeks redemption. Amir learns lessons from every
mistake he has committed. Amir comes to understand the definition of true friendship, he learns to
forgive himself, and he discovers that life is a box of chocolates, it may be bitter, it may be sweet,
and it is unpredictable.
First of all, Amir learns the qualities of being a true and real friends. Amir considered his friend and
half–brother, Hassan like his own servant. According to The Kite Runner, just before Hassan got
raped by Assef, he claimed "Amir agha won the tournament and I ran this kite for him. I ran it fairly.
This is his kite", "Amir agha and I are friends" (Hosseini 77). Hassan was always loyal to Amir,
always stood up for Amir if he was in trouble. The book states about how Amir made fun of Hassan
when they were young, "My favourite part of reading to Hassan was when we came across big word
that he didn't know. I'd tease him, expose his ignorance" (Hosseini 30). In the end of the story, ...

Afghans like to say: Life goes on, unmindful of beginning, end, kamyab, nak–kam, crisis or
catharsis, moving forward like a slow, dusty caravan of kochis" (Hosseini 376). Amir was from
wealthy family, he got everything he wanted to have when he was young. However, the happiness
did not continue all throughout Amir's life, he had to struggle for his life too – his father's death, the
revelation that Hassan was his half brother, Hassan's death, and also, he had to be forgiven by

The Japanese Castles And Power During The Nineteenth Century
To understand the Japanese castles, one must immerse in history of the country. Japan despite a very
different culture, like the old continent, also had a medieval time. Different regions were then
divided into small entities over which ruled a local lord. The equivalence would be Dukes or
Counts. The Emperor of divine ancestry, could be seen as the Pope while the Shogun was in charge
of the power of the reigning emperor. This feudal system then required to have stronghold, but it is
only with the unification of the country that the real castles were built in the very short period of a
few decades, at the end the sixteenth century. Those castles experienced a very rapid peak with
stabilization over several decades to finally be nearly all destroyed before being rebuilt in the
twentieth century.
Before the nineteenth century, two clans battle for the seizure of power during the Heian period
(794–1185): the Minamoto clan and the Taira clan. Between 1180 and 1185, Japan went through a
great civil war with the final victory of the Minamoto clan. During this period, the power of the
emperor was still strong.
Japan then enters its feudal phase called the Kamakura period, from 1185 to 1333. The emperor was
not playing much than a passive role in the management of the country, mainly present for
ceremonies. Civilian and military functions were in the hands of the samurai. The most powerful of
these is the samurai shogun... It was the first military government called Bakufu.

Abstract 2–Naphthol has been selectively oxidized to 2–hydroxy–1,4–naphthoquinone (HNQ,
Lawsone) with hydrogen peroxide in presence of
5, 10, 15, 20–tetrakis–(p–sulfonatophenyl)porphinatomanganese (III) chloride as catalyst in alkaline
aqueous solution. The catalytic oxidation afforded
2–hydroxy–1,4–naphthoquinone in high yield (95 %). The effect of reaction parameters on the
catalytic activity and the yield of HNQ have been investigated. UV–vis spectral analysis during
oxidation reaction indicated that oxomanganese intermediate O=Mn(IV)TPPSCl was the active
species in the oxidation reaction.
Keywords: Selective catalytic oxidation; 2–Naphthol; Metalloporphyrins; 2–Hydroxy–1,4–

Memories In The Silent Cry
Each novel has specific themes or images it is attempting to portray throughout the text. The Silent
Cry is no exception to this attempt. After reading the novel, it soon became clear to me that the
theme of this novel is the importance of memories. I believe that the novel is trying to show how
important our memories are while highlighting the differences of these memories between family
members based on their life experiences. The first place where we can see the vastly different
recollection of memories is when the brothers are discussing S. Takashi' has very fond memories of
S bringing him candy and being the leader of the village men. Mitsu, on the other hand, remembers
quite a different S. He recalls him being weak and the laughing stock of the town. He even goes so

Takashi sees him like a weak man and emphasizes the strength of his grandfather's brother. Mitsu
recalls something quite different. If we look at their memory of who went to Kochi first, grandfather
or his brother, we see that the confusion continues. Takashi claims that it was the brother who went
up to Kochi. Mitsu proclaims that it was their grandfather who went first. He recalls exact dates and
uses that in his arguments against his brother. Mitsu enjoys taking this memory way from his brother
and declares that he has the memory mistaken: "That was what he wanted to believe, so he was
almost consciously ignoring the fact that it was wrong" (Oe, Pg. 95) The importance of memories is
key to understanding the novel, but we must also focus on the idea of life experiences. I believe that
the life events that each of the brothers has experienced alter the way in which they recall memories.
Mitsu has been going through a rough time. His good friend just killed himself, and his wife just
gave birth to a son with medical issues. He is used to seeing difficult things and has no trouble

if he did not witness it. Little did he know that he not speaking up and defending his friend would

took advantage of. Come to find out the guard that was holding Sohrab was the person that raped his
father when he was younger. Sohrab and Amir end up living in the United States together and at the
end of the book it tells that they are kite running together. The framing of the novel is so important
because it starts with Hassan, a servant of Amir's family much lower in society, running for the kite
for Amir and then at the end Amir ends up running the kite for Hassans son Sohrab. Life in their

The ninth century was one of major turning points of Japanese literature history, in which the kana syllabary was developed, along with abolishment of the legation to China (Handout 8). Moreover, the invention of the Japanese native writing systems served as a stimulus to the creation of a prose literature, as well as the births of prominent female writers (Handout 8). Two types of the prose went mainstream in the Heian literature: monogatari (tale) and nikki (diary) (Handout 8). Murasaki Shikibu's Genji Monogatari (Tale of Genji) is probably the most famous work from the era and therefore I will focus on it as an example in the monogatari genre in this paper; as for the second genre, I will use Ki no Tsurayuki's Tosa Nikki (Tosa Diary) in ... Rapid urbanization and intense commercial developments in the recent past have resulted in steep rise in travel demand, putting Kochi's transport infrastructure to stress. With mega projects such as 'SMART CITY, 'INFO PARK', 'FASHION CITY' and "Vellarpadam Container Terminal", etc. on the anvil, travel demand is expected to shoot up, strengthening the need for augmenting the transport infrastructure in Kochi region. In the absence of a mass transport system, there has been a steep increase in the number of personalized motor vehicles in GCDA area. The number of registered motor vehicles in this area was 68,271 in 1987 and it grown to 4,46,959 in the year 2003. 64% of these vehicles are two wheelers. This large number of motor vehicles is resulting in rise in air pollution, increased number of road accidents, and slowing down of average vehicular speeds. Peak hour traffic demand on Alwaye–Petta Corridor has been assessed as 13,681 phpdt for the year 2015 and this is likely to increase 21065 phpdt by the year 2025. Road–based public transport, therefore, can not meet this demand. There is an urgent need to introduce a light Metro system in the city to provide fast, safe, economic, and environment–friendly mode for mass movement of passengers. Carrying capacity of Light Metro System is upto 25,000 phpdt, which will be adequate to take care of the traffic problems for Greater Cochin ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Japan despite a very different culture, like the old continent, also had a medieval time. Different regions were then divided into small entities over which ruled a local lord. The equivalence would be Dukes or Counts. The Emperor of divine ancestry, could be seen as the Pope while the Shogun was in charge of the power of the reigning emperor. This feudal system then required to have stronghold, but it is only with the unification of the country that the real castles were built in the very short period of a few decades, at the end the sixteenth century. Those castles experienced a very rapid peak with stabilization over several decades to finally be nearly all destroyed before being rebuilt in the twentieth century. Before the nineteenth century, two clans battle for the seizure of power during the Heian period (794–1185): the Minamoto clan and the Taira clan. Between 1180 and 1185, Japan went through a great civil war with the final victory of the Minamoto clan. During this period, the power of the emperor was still strong. Japan then enters its feudal phase called the Kamakura period, from 1185 to 1333. The emperor was not playing much than a passive role in the management of the country, mainly present for ceremonies. M. Hassanein*, S. El–Khalafy , S. Shendy Tanta University, Faculty of Science, Department of Chemistry, Tanta 31527, Egypt. Abstract 2–Naphthol has been selectively oxidized to 2–hydroxy–1,4–naphthoquinone (HNQ, Lawsone) with hydrogen peroxide in presence of 5, 10, 15, 20–tetrakis–(p–sulfonatophenyl)porphinatomanganese (III) chloride as catalyst in alkaline aqueous solution. The catalytic oxidation afforded 2–hydroxy–1,4–naphthoquinone in high yield (95 %). The effect of reaction parameters on the catalytic activity and the yield of HNQ have been investigated. UV–vis spectral analysis during oxidation reaction indicated that oxomanganese intermediate O=Mn(IV)TPPSCl was the active species in the oxidation reaction. After reading the novel, it soon became clear to me that the theme of this novel is the importance of memories. I believe that the novel is trying to show how important our memories are while highlighting the differences of these memories between family members based on their life experiences. The first place where we can see the vastly different recollection of memories is when the brothers are discussing S. If we look at their memory of who went to Kochi first, grandfather or his brother, we see that the confusion continues. Takashi claims that it was the brother who went up to Kochi. Mitsu proclaims that it was their grandfather who went first. He recalls exact dates and uses that in his arguments against his brother. Mitsu enjoys taking this memory way from his brother and declares that he has the memory mistaken: "That was what he wanted to believe, so he was almost consciously ignoring the fact that it was wrong" (Oe, Pg. 95) The importance of memories is key to understanding the novel, but we must also focus on the idea of life experiences. I believe that the life events that each of the brothers has experienced alter the way in which they recall memories. Mitsu has been going through a rough time.
