2. Motivation
What motivated me to take this class was to
understand how technology as a whole can help
benefit or improve my learning. I have always
heard about students taking this class, but I
never really knew what it taught you. Until my
friend recommended this class to me since I just
got an iPhone and I did not know the possible
functions that this technology offers.
4. Thoughts on my own learning
preferences
• After I saw the results of my learning preferences,
I strongly agreed on it. As I read the descriptions
of each result, I now fully understand what type
of learner I am. I am and have always been a
visual learner, I learn better through concrete
examples, and I prefer taking small steps in order
to learn. The one result I did not agree on too
much after this semester was that I am an active
learner. I have learned that I prefer to work alone
when doing a project or studying.
6. Activities and Contribution
• The activities that contributed to my learning
pathway were the quests relating to
screecasting, ipods and mp3s. My learning
pathway I chose was Learning Sage, where I
would broaden by knowledge on
technologies, and these activities did just that.
I learned that different uses that these
technologies allowed while learning how to
improve my learning by using it.
7. Top Three Technologies
• The top three technologies that I explored for learning
were screen casting, MMOGS, and ipods and mp3s. Screen
casting helped explore my learning because I was able to
learn in the comfort of my own home. I was in charge of
the lectures given by my teacher and I could take my time
which is not obtained through classes. MMOGS helped me
explore my learning because I got to collaborate with
others and even work by myself to improve my learning
visually, actively, as well as reflectively. Ipods and MP3s
were my favorite because that was the main reason I chose
to take this class. I learned so much about what these
technologies have to offer to my learning, like mini games
or even creating flashcards to help me review.
8. Overall Experience
• My experience in this class was great. I did not
expect to learn this much from an online class.
From this class, I’ve learned ways to learn on
my own pace and technologies that teach me
visually, which is the best way I can learn.
Everything that I learned about in this class
about technologies, I will definitely carry on
outside of this class and use them whenever I
can.
9. Physiological Factors
• The physiological factors that I dedicated myself
to this semester were to get enough sleep every
night and to exercise daily for about thirty
minutes a day. I was so surprised after two weeks
when I started incorporating these physiological
factors into my learning schedule. I noticed that
whenever I got eight hours of sleep a night and
exercised for thirty minutes a day, I felt so much
more energized than I did before. I also noticed
that my attention span was so much better
during school and when I studied.
10. Using this Knowledge
• With all the information that I learned about
in this class, I will carry on into my learning for
future references. I will definitely use my iPod,
iPhone, or mp3 to improve my learning more
and more. These technologies allow me to
share content to my friends and classmates in
the palm of my hand. Also, I practically have
lessons I can review in the palm of my head.
11. Experience with Learning Sage
• I’m really happy I chose learning sage because
I learned exactly what I wanted to in the
beginning of class. I now know that I am open
to all these different technologies that can
help me throughout my school work and
learning. And some technologies that I can
even carry on to my future career to improve
my learning on my career even more.
