3. Learning Preference
My learning preference scores from the survey were:
- Active: 1; For an active learner, they discuss or explain
information to others, and they like group work.
- Sensing: 5; For a sensing learner, they like to learn facts,
solve problems, and do hands-on work.
- Visual: 3; For visual learners, they learn better when there
are images, diagrams, or presentations.
- Sequential: 5; For sequential learners, they learn best in
steps or linear processes.
4. Concept of Learning Preferences
To be able to know your learning preference can be
helpful since you can know what to improve or
strengthen in.
I felt learning preferences are a good way to organize
your learning.
Learning preferences can work out for some people
but not all.
5. Learning Pathway
The learning pathway I chose was the Learning
Warrior.
The Learning Warrior wants to develop a deeper
investigation on a couple of technologies.
6. Activities and Learning Pathway
In the beginning of class, the activities
contributed to my learning pathway. The activities
were helpful tools that I can continue using for my
other classes. iPods, iPads and tablets, screencasts,
and podcasts are tools and technologies I feel I can
use to help with my learning. Most of the replies
from the activities were helpful.
7. Top Three Technologies
1. iPads and Tablets: You can use applications (apps)
to help study for a class
2. Podcasts: You can listen to them anywhere and
anytime you want
3. Screencasts: You can watch videos about anything
you want at your time and pace.
8. Experiences with Different Technologies
I was able to incorporate what I learned about the
different technologies into my daily life and school
life. For podcasts, I got to listen and learn different
languages at my own time. For screencasts, I got to
watch videos that would explain how to do math
problems in a visual and step by step process, which
helps me understand the math problems better.
9. Integration of Physiological Factors
I integrated the physiological factors I learned by
taking more care of my body. I tried sleeping earlier,
eating breakfast, and exercise for at least three days a
week for 30 minutes. After sleeping earlier than
before, I felt less sleepy and tired in class which
allowed me to be more attentive and focused in my
classes. Also eating breakfast helped since I would
not be distracted by my hunger in class.
10. Utilizing What I Learned
I will continue to use the learning strategies and
hopefully improved them so I can be more organized
in my learning for my other classes next semester. I
will use the technologies I learned about since they
will help me study, explain, and teach me about my
classes. I feel I still will be using screencasts as a way
to help me review or learn. When I have more time, I
plan to look up some podcasts to learn a new
language or hear a lecture about animals.
11. Learning Warrior Experience
Learning Warrior was a great experience for me
since I got to learn so much more about technologies
that can be used for learning in my classes. As a
Learning Warrior, I felt I should've investigated even
more technologies that weren't mentioned in class.
Overall, being a Learning Warrior helped further my
knowledge of technologies that I didn't know can be
applied to other classes or even at a workplace
environment.
