High Angle 
The image used here shows a 
high angle used upon the 
actor. The high angle shot has 
been used to connote that the 
character seems weak and 
powerless in this scene. The 
audience get the attention that 
this character is being looked 
down upon.
Low Angle 
The low angle shot used in this scene shows two 
actors being looked up upon. This may give the 
audience the ignition that they are seen to be a 
dominant figure within the scene, which may reveal 
strong, fearful and powerful connotations within their 
characteristic figure.
Crane Shot 
The Crane Shot is a shot taken from a very high angle. The 
shot is often used to show a small setting or small location. 
The shot is taken from a high up crane in which health and 
safety aspects must be considered before the process is 
done.
Aerial Shot 
The aerial shot is an extreme version of a high angle take 
from a birds eye view. The shot is used as an establishing 
shot to show a much wider location or setting. The example 
below shows an aerial shot of New York City.
Close Up/Zoom in 
The image here presents a close up upon the characters 
face. This shot is used to present the characters expression 
or emotion towards a specific aspect. In this image the 
close up has been used to emphasize that this character is 
sad and very emotional in the scene.
Pan/Whip Pan 
The Pan camera movement is used when the camera 
moves in a horizontal direction. In this image the camera is 
using a Pan/Whip Pan to keep on track and follow the 
direction of the biker as the image seems quite 
disorientated in the background.
