Reflective Essay On Drama
Wow wow wow it's my turn now first about you, the drama I talk about is all about you and ur
friends and being in a game or real wouldn't change things when it comes to discussing and talking
about it. I know it's a game and it was me remember from day one I'm the one who told you for me
it's a different world. And I'm the one who also said "I don't like drama". I go on just like all the ppl
I've met and added to have fun and tbh you're the only one out of all 400 on classic cp and on cpr
that pushes so much to talk about things outside of cp. It hardly drama with my friends and since
day one meeting dan it's always his drama and again I'm in the middle of it. It's him also who is with
drama not me and every second I'm with him it's his drama and what was I suppose to do just tell
him I'm not going to talk about his drama and so it's his business, when he's the one that is having
and causing the drama every time that girl, her many other spy accounts or her friends pop up. He's
the one who is talking to me bc I'm with him. I don't decide to go on to just look for drama so I can
talk about it all day long. And po thing is usually to get away from your friends. You do remember
when you also say "let's go" and where were you and I suppose to go without ur friends following
us? You think I love to talk about your drama friends or dan drama friends? You have to be kidding
me. I run from drama and yes ofc it means a lot to me and effects me when ppl say or do mean
things. Why do

Short Story Of N/A
I don't know what's wrong with me, and I don't even think that it's my fault. Maybe if I describe my
situation to you my problem, N/A, will become clear. N/A isn't something that other people can see,
so It's not alive. I can't even see it. I can only and always feel it. I feel it watching me, and judging
me. I always feel it there in the back of my mind making me feel inferior, and different. It laughs at
me when I cry and yells at me when I laugh. Somedays are better than others. Somedays it just
watches me from the sidelines judging the way I do things. Other days it jumps right into my life
yelling at me and cutting me down.
N/A showed up last year. I don't know what I did to deserve it. It's almost as if my brain picked up a

What Is The Most Important In My Life
For my mandala I have chosen the five most important things in my life. My most important being
my family. The other four are love, religion, education, and happiness..
Family is my top choice because they are always there to support and take care of me. They will
never leave my side and will always lend me a hand for whenever I'm feeling down. No matter what
my troubles are, they seem to understand me the most. For they are the ones who raised, taught, and
helped me through out my entire childhood. My mom who guided me, advised me, and taught me
how to be a better person. My dad who taught me how shake off my pain, hold my head high, and
stay strong. Even my older sister to whom I share all my secrets and trust the most to be here by my
side when I need her. We are all connected like a puzzle, always belonging together creating a
bigger picture when we are all united. I chose this family symbol because they are all united and
filled with color. This represent being together and the different colors showing life is filled ... Show

Essay On Man In The Mirror
Langston Hughes said it best when he wrote the phrase in the poem Mother to Son, "Well, son, I'll
tell you: Life for me ain't been no crystal stair." These words truly sum up the essence of my life, but
I won't complain, I dare not desire someone else's life either, for all my experiences have made me
the essence of who I am, and who I am becoming. In his poem, he writes about a mother whom I
will say, "felt a kind a way" as she spoke. Today I "feel a kind a way too, but soon I'm going to look
back on where I am and have been and say I remember when I felt that kind of way, and it's going to
be a thing of the past. Today I look at The wo– "Man In the Mirror", and I see that "I Didn't Know

I thought I'd never make it through, I had no one to hold on to, I thought I would break... I didn't
know my own strength, survived my darkest hour, my faith kept me alive, pulled myself back up,
hold my head up high, I was not built to break, I didn't know my own strength.... Found hope in my
heart, I found the light to light, my way out of the dark, found all that I needed, right here inside of
me. I thought I'd never find my way, I thought I'd never lift that weight, I thought I might break. ... I
didn't know my own strength, and I crashed down, and I tumbled, but I did not crumble, I got
through all the pain, I didn't know my own strength" (Warren). Today I know more about me than
ever before. I am strong, I am independent, I was not meant to break, and I can hold my head high
because I know my own strength. As time goes by and I get older, I think of two ladies related to me
that had been positive role models in my life. These two women, my mom and my grandmother,
who were strong women and taught me to do right, have transitioned from this life already, but their
loving words of support and encouragement speaks to me every day as I strive to be like them. I
dedicate this song to them because, they have helped to pull me through some dark and cold times in
my life. "You Pulled Me Through", sung by Jennifer Hudson, says, "I was in the darkness, I was out

Descriptive Essay : Beacon's Beach
The waves form and break in front of me, the sound of them crashing lingers in my ears . Sitting
here at the beach, I feel as if the world was still and I was the only one who existed. My toes dig into
the warm, golden sand and the pleasure sweeps over me. The slight breeze is twisting my hair into
knots but I don't care. Without a breeze, the beach wouldn't be the beach. All I hear is the roaring
waves crashing in front of me and the smell of salt and sand in the air. My feet hit the icy water and
I know in an instant that the waves would be great but something felt off and peculiar. I jump on my
board and dive under a wave. Hearing the stillness underneath the surface was always a comfort for
me. Today, though, after all my end of year exams, it feels like a comfort place forever. My arms,
pushing through the water, I reach the waiting zone. The roar of the waves is now behind me and the
stillness of the water settles beneath me. I watch the waves form, watching other surfers take the
waves and enjoy the ride to shore. The many memories I've made here are ones that I never forget.
Beacon's Beach, for me, is one of those places where everything else in your mind disappears and
it's just you and the ocean. The sun's rays gleamed onto my face bringing heat to my skin, or at least
the part which wasn't covered by rubber. I looked down at my board, a 5ft 4in shortboard from

A Study On Leap Of Faith
Leap of Faith I peered over the edge of the cliff, staring down at the murky water below, the
incessant roar of the waterfall on my left reverberated in my ears. "Go on... jump!" my brother Josh
prodded, impatiently shifting from one foot to the other. The last word he said seemed to echo and
grow louder with each repetition, taunting me as I fearfully faltered away from the edge. I was
standing in a cave behind one of the Tavoro waterfalls in Taveuni, Fiji. My parents, two brothers,
and I were in Fiji on a 2 week mission trip. We'd spent most of the two weeks at a bustling
compound, Vatuvonu Adventist School and Church, which consisted of a school, a church, a clinic,
a few worn–down huts, assorted administration and dorm buildings, and a rickety dock with huge
spaces in–between the worn wooden planks. While there we helped build a platform for a generator,
fixed up a church, and ran a medical and dentistry clinic with the thirty other people in our mission
group. We spent 10 of our 14 days at the compound, then took a ferry to Taveuni so we could stay at
a resort for a few days. We wanted to explore the islands a bit and see what Fiji had to offer. We
went snorkeling, we explored the tiny towns and villages, we went swimming in the Pacific Ocean,
we rode a horse, we went flying in a tiny plane, and we tried many local foods. On one of our last
days in Fiji we took a 2–hour bus ride to Bouma National Heritage Park, and hiked to the first
Tavoro waterfall. After

Descriptive Essay About Fear
Fear consumes me every moment of every day and with everything I do in my life. I am scared of
failing, speaking, socializing, cooking, swimming, riding a bike, driving, death, and being alone. My
mom says I have an active imagination but everyone else seems to think that I have a mental
problem.
This year is my last year of high school and then I am on my own in a big, bad world full of terrible
things. Something inside of me takes over. I've been to many psychiatric doctors but they do
absolutely nothing to help me. They are all liars. They swear that they won't say anything to anyone
and then they go into the other room and tell them everything. Untrustworthy people are another one
of my fears.

time is not on my side.
As the door creaks, I manage to pry the window open and jump out. Everything is happening in

Short Story Of Hi, It's Me Essay
Hi, it's me.
I'm the girl that caused this man a lot of pain. I did a very, very stupid thing that I will probably
regret for the rest of my life. As someone said in the comment section below: I did indeed lose a
keeper.
There are so many things leading to the downfall of our relationship. Yes, I did a really shitty thing
and I am so sorry for it. It was largely this situation that we won't get past. This is not a plea for
u/relaythrow99 to take me back, but an explanation of my mind state at the time.

Sunday was when OP found my messages. I woke up earlier than OP. I wanted to explore a nearby

A couple hours later, I get a slew of messages. Fuck. I was found out. I knew it was the end so I

could recover from it. OP would not let me go, he held me down so I couldn't leave him. Anyway
long story short, we made up and he made me promise not to ever leave him. Twice. It was under
the condition that we went through couple's counseling. Couple's counseling would have been really
great for me because it would've given us a third person perspective on the situation. But we
changed our minds at the end of the night when we made up and everyone was happy. Right after,
he did ask me those questions of whether or not my dates had went further than coffee dates, and I
point blank did tell him no. I didn't want to ruin the moment. I had hoped that one day it would

The environment that perfectly contents me the most is a football field. I have been in many places

a big castle and am the king to be in it the grass, wind, smell and every touchdown feel me to be
complete and having me wanting more of it. No one really understands why am doing this as a life
dream most don't believe in me but when it's time to be in the field I realize that am doing right
where I stand and it's what will be my career. If it's one thing I learned is that no matter the obstacle

way to chill down but in a football field it was is and has always been my time of peace and silence I

It's Hard Enough Being Me By Anna Lisa Raya
In the student essay "It's Hard Enough Being Me" written by Anna Lisa Raya, the author portrays
herself as a credible source for understanding the role of identity in an educational setting. Raya
then appeals to an audience of Latinos and other minorities through her emotions such as stating, "I
had never questioned who I was or where I was from" (Raya 121). In the end, she resolves the life–
longing issues of identity crisis and cultural shock by staying true to herself and "Soy yo and no one
else...Punto" (Raya 122). The author asserts the idea of "not only experienced culture shock, but for
the first time I had to define myself according to the broad term "Latina"" (Raya 121) throughout the
essay. Raya then appeals to her audience through ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
All she has done is "learned about Montezuma and the Aztecs in sixth grade" (Raya 121). In terms
of her physical features, Raya doesn't "even look Latina" (Raya 121). There have been countless
times where "people have just assumed that I'm white or asked me if I'm Asian". More importantly,
"I never thought I would wish my skin were darker shade or my hair a curlier texture" (Raya 121).
However, due to the social norms that her college categorizes in order to be considered Latina she
has "many times" (Raya 121). In addition, having a language barrier does not suit her case. The idea
of "not knowing how to speak a language of my home countries is the biggest problem that I have
encountered, as have many Latinos" (Raya 121–122). "Pocha" (Raya 122) is used in Mexico to
describe those "who were raised on the other side of the border". More so, "it expresses a deep–
rooted antagonism and dislike...to ridicule Mexican Americans" (Raya 122). Evidently, the failure to
speak proper Mexican Spanish fall under the dislike category. Even if a Latino speaks Spanish well,
"it can never be good enough" (Raya 122). Consequently, Latinos who "speak Spanish in the U.S."
(Raya 122) have a tendency "of being called "spic" or "wetback"" (Raya 122). Hence, in order to be
considered "fully Latina in college, however, I must know Spanish...I must satisfy the equation:
Latina [equals] Spanish–speaking" (Raya 122). Since Anna had arrived

Analysis Of The Book ' The On Mortal Kombat ' By Kevin Wilson
In the stories that author Kevin Wilson wrote in "Tunneling to the Center of the Earth," several
characters are ruled by fear. The fear that these characters have eventually winded up having a
solution or solve that helps resolve their fears. Fear is defined as: "a feeling of agitation or anxiety
caused by the presence or imminence of danger. An example of fear in one of the stories is Leonard
in "Blowing up on the Spot," because he fears death and it controls and restricts his life. Towards the
end of that story, Leonard finds his resolve of having that fear. The type of things that can lead to
resolutions of fear is epiphanies. In his short story, Mortal Kombat to boys was facing a fear like no
other. In his short story called "Mortal Kombat" the boys Scotty and Wynn are best friends and they
both have this fear of accepting they are falling for one another. In Kevin Wilsons short story,
"Mortal Kombat" the narrator says, "It is simple and awkward at the same time, the way they
proceed. There is only the quickness of movement, the instinctive responses of the body. It feels like
fighting; that is what runs through both of their minds. It lasts all of two minutes, maybe less." (76).
The kiss made them realize they are maybe attracted to eachother and their feelings couldn't fight
what they were feeling anymore. This fear that each of them show towards the situation puts a
restriction on their life for awhile. The thoughts that are going thru scotty head while he is raking

College Admissions Essay: It's The Railroad Life For Me
It's the Railroad Life for Me Very few of us know exactly what we want to do with our lives when
we finish high school. Do we want to go to college? Join the military? Find a job just to earn money
to party on weekends? Become a couch potato? Like most people I did not have a clue. Sometimes
the right situation just falls into your lap when you least expect it. Here is my story. This is how I
went down the path to become a professional locomotive engineer. An ideal situation that
complements my personality and lifestyle. I was only an average student when it pertained to
grades. I did not take high school very seriously as I had a lot of constant issues going on. Starting
with having a sibling with a moderate form of autism. Then facing quite a bit of bullying on a daily
basis. The only thing that I knew was to go out and get a job. My family never went to college. ...

I work better in small groups with minimal supervision. There is usually just 2–3 people on a train

affords me this luxury. I can get a lot of school work done; Go for a swim, work out, or get a bite to
eat by myself while I relax and think. Working outside is also a bonus to this type of employment. A
profession sitting in an office behind a desk is not for me. I get a great deal of satisfaction knowing
how important my career really is. Since being promoted from conductor to locomotive engineer it
is pretty humbling knowing that I am being entrusted with millions of dollars in locomotives as well
as customer goods which include some very dangerous commodities. The company as well as the
public rely on me to do my job professionally, and to utilize the skills I have obtained to deliver

Character Analysis Of Yossarian In Catch 22
In Catch 22, we begin to realize some of the characters in the book are acting out of fear and not
what they believe is right because of the things they see and experience throughout the war, usually
we don't see people acting out fear and moral justification, only one or the other. One of the most
important characters that the readers see acting out of fear is Yossarian, and throughout the book the
reader experiences the systematic breakdown of Yossarian as he begins to grow tired of the constant
bombings and begins to fear his own demise. At the beginning of the war Yossarian was a strong and
confident leader who was willing to run the bombing mission without a problem, however as the
war progressed and the number of missions increased Yossarian begin to become uncompliant with

modern society, and the complications that implies. Two reviews propose ideas on the novel's theme,
though the second review showcases these ideas more effectively, also comparing the novel with
Louisa May Alcott's Little Women more extensively than the first review. Both fall short of a good
review; however, having more of the components needed for a successful book review, the second is
better. The first review introduces Are You There God? It's Me Margaret's plot in opening
paragraphs. Then, the review explains Blume's reasoning for portraying Margaret as a stereotypical
eleven–year–old: showing other teenage girls they are not alone in their fears. Concluding this
paragraph, the author mentions Blume's ability to have readers sympathize with the main character.
Finally, the review ends on a thin comparison between Margaret and Meg in Little Women, claiming
the girls are alike because they strive for items they lack. On the other hand, the second review starts
off with a general plot description, then explains Are You There God? It's Me ... Show more content

Instead, one is thrust directly into a summary, without knowledge of the paper's purpose, a weakness
of both reviews. Another weakness both papers have is that neither has a conclusion. In fact, both
papers end somewhat abruptly. The first review lacks closure completely, ending halfway through a
comparison to Little Women. Also, this ending halts explanation of the comparison the reviewer
attempts to make, appearing as though half the review were cut off. In comparison, the second
review has something of a conclusion, where the writer shares a personal anecdote with the book.
There is a distinct absence of a recommendation. This conclusion provides partial closure, but lacks
the ending of a good book

Stereotypes In It Is Not Me It's You
"Don't try to squeeze into a glass slipper. Instead shatter the glass ceiling." This quote, by Priyanka
Chopra, a successful Hollywood actress, is urging people to become nonconformists. Many people
often try so hard to be the stereotypes society places on them, even though that is not who they truly
are. However, Chopra wants people to do the opposite by breaking the mold, and be someone who
might stand out of the crowd. One might be able to greater express their individuality and
uniqueness, without feeling "trapped" within their stereotype. Yet, even though much attention has
been brought to this issue, stereotypes still exist. Many people make stereotypes because they do not
have all the information need to make fair opinions about someone. ... Show more content on

This can be seen in the article, "It's Not Me, It's You", by Annie Murphy Paul (The New York
Times). This article talks about a phenomenon called "stereotype threat". Stereotype threat is a
situation where people feel pressure to conform to negative stereotypes about their group. This
article explores how this mindset can easily affect how someone might think and act. "Members of
groups believed to be academically inferior... score much lower on tests when reminded beforehand
of their race or gender... the performance of these students suffered because they were worried about
confirming negative stereotypes." If this problem is not addressed, then many people might become
more self–conscious about themselves and their abilities. As seen in the quote above, even being
reminded of negative stereotypes towards their group, causes people to believe them, and lower their
academic performance. If these negative stereotypes are presented to someone constantly over time,
they will begin to think that they are those stereotypes. An individual's personality and character can
be changed due to these biases. This has terrible consequences to someone's everyday life. The
lowered self–esteem, in addition with their mindset of, "If I'm always wrong, why should I even
try?" might mean that someone doesn't take a risk or jump on opportunities. Negative stereotypes
can result in someone to believe something that is not always necessarily true about them, and
damage one's

In a similar fashion, everything Argon has done accumulates to this breaking point, where things
goes south with Miss. Nippon's added existence and interference in his masterplan to be God of a

Nippon uses to her advantage and mocks him for it while having held him at gunpoint. "You're
stupid, Adam. Don't you know that a promise is the beginning of a lie? It's you who made me lie."

force behind this specific outcome, he is the one that set himself up for failure and to his ultimate
demise. From his initial decision to sell every one of his possessions save a chair and lock himself

everything was done by his own hand. Miss. Nippon shoots him and then proceeds to knock down
the door to the outside world, in which reverts everything to their original state and destroys herself.

I came from a poor childhood and wanted better for my own children, but I wanted to instill my
parents solid work ethnics and respect for others into my children. My children have chores to teach
responsibility and work ethic and are taught to respect their elders, as well as good manners. I have
noticed that a lot of children have lost these basic social etiquette. For example, I had a principle call

due to the fact that they remained polite, well–mannered and respectful he was just giving them a
warning that time. His comment was "It is a relief to see that some children are still being raised

Abuse Of Power In Animal Farm By George Orwell
Abuse of power is demonstrated in many areas of Orwell's novel and it clearly indicates that Orwell
is not a Marxist. This is shown through manipulating all the animals, altering the commandments,
and it is distinctly visible when almost all the animals fear the pigs. As days go on, there is always
something different about the farm yet no one ever says a word, "Curiously enough, Clover had not
remembered that the fourth commandment mentioned sheets; but as it was there on the wall, it must
have done so," Orwell, pg.79. Some animals recognize the changes and adjustments but because of
the deficiency in education they all have, it becomes difficult for anyone to say anything. Clover, the
motherly mare, notices that the pigs are sleeping upon beds which according to her were breaking
one of the commandments. Although she knows this is a violation of the rules, she stays quiet and
silently questions all the actions the pigs continue to take. This is an internal conflict that Clover is
experiencing who mentally observes all the manipulating and controlling the pigs do with all the
farm animals. She realizes this is all wrong but does not want to get involved. The pigs, specifically
Napoleon, change the commandments knowing that not all the animals get fully educated enough to
comprehend what each means and in result he, therefore, gets to manipulate the animals into doing
anything he wants. The pigs see that all the animals will accept any changes made without arguing
because in

Each and every country has a different method of disciplining their citizens to tell the truth within

techniques that are being used can really affect an individual's physical, emotional, and

It's Hard Enough Being Me By Anna Lisa Raya
Although the United States of America has gained global recognition for honorably operating under
the famous words of the "land of the free and home of the brave", the country's history has
essentially demonstrated continuous attention surrounding ethnic diversity and the effects upon
individuals. As this occurs, the concern has transformed through generations into one of the nation's

This effect then snowballs, and eventually larger pieces of the rock fall off due to structural

same people that support oppression. Those who support the oppressed, knowing the repercussions,
are the same ones who fight for social justice. One such person that fought for equality was Hellen
Keller, whom was blind and deaf, but still received a bachelor or arts degree and used it to fight for
the underprivileged. In fact, she helped make braille the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Recently the United States has elected Donald J. Trump as president of the United States, who
shares his capitous view on Obamacare. Casey B. Mulligan captures these view in The New York
Times, when he states"Unemployment insurance is...financed by the federal and state
governments...On average [those who are unemployed] receive about $300 a week until they start
working again"(Mulligen). Those whom are unemployed are given an opportunity to find a job.
Though, they will most likely feel that is much easier to file for unemployment and claim to be
looking for a job. The government tries to give every person an equal chance at having success in
the workforce and to therefore create a more fair society. Really, they are giving free handouts to
those who are too lazy to find a job. However, as Margot Sanger–Katz who also writes for The New
York Times rebutts, "Current law requires them to provide documentation...that they have recently
filed for bankruptcy, for example, or been evicted...they must [also] legally attest to their honesty...
the program would stop paying after the 26th week"(Sanger–Katz). It is actually very onerous to get
the aforementioned "free handouts", as a person must have actually been through a severe amount of
hardship.

It's Time Monologue
"It's time to get out of the desert and into the sun... Even if it's ALONE."
It's time. I've held on when I needed to, wanted to, should have, and shouldn't have. I was hanging
on when you weren't. I was hanging on even when everyone in my life who cared about me told me
to let go. I've finally come to the time where I'm aligned and ready to release control and surrender
you and the relationship to God. It's time. All the laughs, tears, memories, moments that have clung
to my heart are only taking up space. Do I regret any of them? Not for a second, actually thank you
for them. I'll never forget them and more importantly they are part of my story for God to use. To
teach me. To teach others. I have to clear my heart and hand it over to ... Show more content on

I have to start listening to my friends. They see how much this affects me. They see what I'm blind
to. You are my blindspot. They are protecting me and it's time to start letting them. I have been blind
in this situation, but because of them I can start to see clearly. It's time. I have dreams, passions,
wants, desires and I need to pursue without being attached to you. You no longer have power over
me. I do not submit to you but I submit to my heavenly father who wants to give me what I want.
It's time. I thought being with you was like being in the sun when I was actually in the desert. All I
would see were mirages. I let you go after them and I would follow to only get there and the water
had disappeared. There might be sun in the desert but no life can thrive there. I am done merely
surviving. For the longest time I prayed to get out of the desert with you by my side, but I know I
won't come out alive if I wait for you. I have to leave behind this wasteland because God has bigger
and better plans. There's more than just this desert.
It's time. It's time to let go of you. It's time to leave the desert. It's time to surrender. It's time to step
into freedom. It's time to take my leap of faith that there's so much more. It's time to put myself first.
It's time to surrender. It's time to jump. It's

Reflective Essay On Drama

  • 1. Reflective Essay On Drama Wow wow wow it's my turn now first about you, the drama I talk about is all about you and ur friends and being in a game or real wouldn't change things when it comes to discussing and talking about it. I know it's a game and it was me remember from day one I'm the one who told you for me it's a different world. And I'm the one who also said "I don't like drama". I go on just like all the ppl I've met and added to have fun and tbh you're the only one out of all 400 on classic cp and on cpr that pushes so much to talk about things outside of cp. It hardly drama with my friends and since day one meeting dan it's always his drama and again I'm in the middle of it. It's him also who is with drama not me and every second I'm with him it's his drama and what was I suppose to do just tell him I'm not going to talk about his drama and so it's his business, when he's the one that is having and causing the drama every time that girl, her many other spy accounts or her friends pop up. He's the one who is talking to me bc I'm with him. I don't decide to go on to just look for drama so I can talk about it all day long. And po thing is usually to get away from your friends. You do remember when you also say "let's go" and where were you and I suppose to go without ur friends following us? You think I love to talk about your drama friends or dan drama friends? You have to be kidding me. I run from drama and yes ofc it means a lot to me and effects me when ppl say or do mean things. Why do ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

N/A isn't something that other people can see, so It's not alive. I can't even see it. I can only and always feel it. I feel it watching me, and judging me. I always feel it there in the back of my mind making me feel inferior, and different. It laughs at me when I cry and yells at me when I laugh. Somedays are better than others. Somedays it just watches me from the sidelines judging the way I do things. Other days it jumps right into my life yelling at me and cutting me down. N/A showed up last year. • 7. What Is The Most Important In My Life For my mandala I have chosen the five most important things in my life. My most important being my family. The other four are love, religion, education, and happiness.. Family is my top choice because they are always there to support and take care of me. They will never leave my side and will always lend me a hand for whenever I'm feeling down. No matter what my troubles are, they seem to understand me the most. For they are the ones who raised, taught, and helped me through out my entire childhood. My mom who guided me, advised me, and taught me how to be a better person. My dad who taught me how shake off my pain, hold my head high, and stay strong. Even my older sister to whom I share all my secrets and trust the most to be here by my side when I need her. We are all connected like a puzzle, always belonging together creating a bigger picture when we are all united. I chose this family symbol because they are all united and filled with color. • 11. Essay On Man In The Mirror Langston Hughes said it best when he wrote the phrase in the poem Mother to Son, "Well, son, I'll tell you: Life for me ain't been no crystal stair." These words truly sum up the essence of my life, but I won't complain, I dare not desire someone else's life either, for all my experiences have made me the essence of who I am, and who I am becoming. In his poem, he writes about a mother whom I will say, "felt a kind a way" as she spoke. Today I "feel a kind a way too, but soon I'm going to look back on where I am and have been and say I remember when I felt that kind of way, and it's going to be a thing of the past. Today I look at The wo– "Man In the Mirror", and I see that "I Didn't Know My Own Strength", but "You Pulled Me Through". I ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I thought I'd never make it through, I had no one to hold on to, I thought I would break... I didn't know my own strength, survived my darkest hour, my faith kept me alive, pulled myself back up, hold my head up high, I was not built to break, I didn't know my own strength.... Found hope in my heart, I found the light to light, my way out of the dark, found all that I needed, right here inside of me. I thought I'd never find my way, I thought I'd never lift that weight, I thought I might break. ... I didn't know my own strength, and I crashed down, and I tumbled, but I did not crumble, I got through all the pain, I didn't know my own strength" (Warren). Today I know more about me than ever before. I am strong, I am independent, I was not meant to break, and I can hold my head high because I know my own strength. As time goes by and I get older, I think of two ladies related to me that had been positive role models in my life. These two women, my mom and my grandmother, who were strong women and taught me to do right, have transitioned from this life already, but their loving words of support and encouragement speaks to me every day as I strive to be like them. I dedicate this song to them because, they have helped to pull me through some dark and cold times in my life. • 13. Descriptive Essay : Beacon's Beach The waves form and break in front of me, the sound of them crashing lingers in my ears . Sitting here at the beach, I feel as if the world was still and I was the only one who existed. My toes dig into the warm, golden sand and the pleasure sweeps over me. The slight breeze is twisting my hair into knots but I don't care. Without a breeze, the beach wouldn't be the beach. All I hear is the roaring waves crashing in front of me and the smell of salt and sand in the air. My feet hit the icy water and I know in an instant that the waves would be great but something felt off and peculiar. I jump on my board and dive under a wave. Hearing the stillness underneath the surface was always a comfort for me. Today, though, after all my end of year exams, it feels like a comfort place forever. My arms, pushing through the water, I reach the waiting zone. The roar of the waves is now behind me and the stillness of the water settles beneath me. I watch the waves form, watching other surfers take the waves and enjoy the ride to shore. The many memories I've made here are ones that I never forget. Beacon's Beach, for me, is one of those places where everything else in your mind disappears and it's just you and the ocean. The sun's rays gleamed onto my face bringing heat to my skin, or at least the part which wasn't covered by rubber. I looked down at my board, a 5ft 4in shortboard from Super, it's blue and green stripes gleaming in the sun. The wax cutting perfectly where my two feet ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 15. A Study On Leap Of Faith Leap of Faith I peered over the edge of the cliff, staring down at the murky water below, the incessant roar of the waterfall on my left reverberated in my ears. "Go on... jump!" my brother Josh prodded, impatiently shifting from one foot to the other. The last word he said seemed to echo and grow louder with each repetition, taunting me as I fearfully faltered away from the edge. I was standing in a cave behind one of the Tavoro waterfalls in Taveuni, Fiji. My parents, two brothers, and I were in Fiji on a 2 week mission trip. We'd spent most of the two weeks at a bustling compound, Vatuvonu Adventist School and Church, which consisted of a school, a church, a clinic, a few worn–down huts, assorted administration and dorm buildings, and a rickety dock with huge spaces in–between the worn wooden planks. While there we helped build a platform for a generator, fixed up a church, and ran a medical and dentistry clinic with the thirty other people in our mission group. We spent 10 of our 14 days at the compound, then took a ferry to Taveuni so we could stay at a resort for a few days. We wanted to explore the islands a bit and see what Fiji had to offer. We went snorkeling, we explored the tiny towns and villages, we went swimming in the Pacific Ocean, we rode a horse, we went flying in a tiny plane, and we tried many local foods. On one of our last days in Fiji we took a 2–hour bus ride to Bouma National Heritage Park, and hiked to the first Tavoro waterfall. After ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

As someone said in the comment section below: I did indeed lose a keeper. There are so many things leading to the downfall of our relationship. Yes, I did a really shitty thing and I am so sorry for it. It was largely this situation that we won't get past. This is not a plea for u/relaythrow99 to take me back, but an explanation of my mind state at the time. I grew up in a really unstable childhood. Born in in poorest town of Seattle. In the end, she resolves the life– longing issues of identity crisis and cultural shock by staying true to herself and "Soy yo and no one else...Punto" (Raya 122). However, due to the social norms that her college categorizes in order to be considered Latina she has "many times" (Raya 121). In addition, having a language barrier does not suit her case. The idea of "not knowing how to speak a language of my home countries is the biggest problem that I have encountered, as have many Latinos" (Raya 121–122). The fear that these characters have eventually winded up having a solution or solve that helps resolve their fears. Fear is defined as: "a feeling of agitation or anxiety caused by the presence or imminence of danger. An example of fear in one of the stories is Leonard in "Blowing up on the Spot," because he fears death and it controls and restricts his life. Towards the end of that story, Leonard finds his resolve of having that fear. The type of things that can lead to resolutions of fear is epiphanies. In his short story, Mortal Kombat to boys was facing a fear like no other. In his short story called "Mortal Kombat" the boys Scotty and Wynn are best friends and they both have this fear of accepting they are falling for one another. In Kevin Wilsons short story, "Mortal Kombat" the narrator says, "It is simple and awkward at the same time, the way they proceed. There is only the quickness of movement, the instinctive responses of the body. It feels like fighting; that is what runs through both of their minds. It lasts all of two minutes, maybe less." (76). It's Me Margaret by Judy Blume is a novel about a girl coming of age in modern society, and the complications that implies. Two reviews propose ideas on the novel's theme, though the second review showcases these ideas more effectively, also comparing the novel with Louisa May Alcott's Little Women more extensively than the first review. Both fall short of a good review; however, having more of the components needed for a successful book review, the second is better. The first review introduces Are You There God? It's Me Margaret's plot in opening paragraphs. Then, the review explains Blume's reasoning for portraying Margaret as a stereotypical eleven–year–old: showing other teenage girls they are not alone in their fears. Concluding this paragraph, the author mentions Blume's ability to have readers sympathize with the main character. This quote, by Priyanka Chopra, a successful Hollywood actress, is urging people to become nonconformists. Many people often try so hard to be the stereotypes society places on them, even though that is not who they truly are. However, Chopra wants people to do the opposite by breaking the mold, and be someone who might stand out of the crowd. One might be able to greater express their individuality and uniqueness, without feeling "trapped" within their stereotype. Yet, even though much attention has been brought to this issue, stereotypes still exist. Many people make stereotypes because they do not have all the information need to make fair opinions about someone. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This can be seen in the article, "It's Not Me, It's You", by Annie Murphy Paul (The New York Times). This article talks about a phenomenon called "stereotype threat". Stereotype threat is a situation where people feel pressure to conform to negative stereotypes about their group. This article explores how this mindset can easily affect how someone might think and act. "Members of groups believed to be academically inferior... score much lower on tests when reminded beforehand of their race or gender... the performance of these students suffered because they were worried about confirming negative stereotypes." If this problem is not addressed, then many people might become more self–conscious about themselves and their abilities. As seen in the quote above, even being reminded of negative stereotypes towards their group, causes people to believe them, and lower their academic performance. If these negative stereotypes are presented to someone constantly over time, they will begin to think that they are those stereotypes. An individual's personality and character can be changed due to these biases. This has terrible consequences to someone's everyday life. The lowered self–esteem, in addition with their mindset of, "If I'm always wrong, why should I even try?" might mean that someone doesn't take a risk or jump on opportunities. Negative stereotypes can result in someone to believe something that is not always necessarily true about them, and damage one's ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

For example, I had a principle call and tell me that any other child would of received punishment for something my sons had done, but due to the fact that they remained polite, well–mannered and respectful he was just giving them a warning that time. His comment was "It is a relief to see that some children are still being raised with basic manners". I found that quite sad and it explained why I was hearing children be respectful so infrequently. I have noticed over the past several years as my children have aged into teenagers that the younger ones seem to exude a sense of entitlement and that the world or I owe them for being alive and in my presence. Granted so far they only express themselves like this while at home. It never fails to appall me, due to the fact that I would have been smacked down if I disrespected an adult in any form or ... • 53. Abuse Of Power In Animal Farm By George Orwell Abuse of power is demonstrated in many areas of Orwell's novel and it clearly indicates that Orwell is not a Marxist. This is shown through manipulating all the animals, altering the commandments, and it is distinctly visible when almost all the animals fear the pigs. As days go on, there is always something different about the farm yet no one ever says a word, "Curiously enough, Clover had not remembered that the fourth commandment mentioned sheets; but as it was there on the wall, it must have done so," Orwell, pg.79. Some animals recognize the changes and adjustments but because of the deficiency in education they all have, it becomes difficult for anyone to say anything. Clover, the motherly mare, notices that the pigs are sleeping upon beds which according to her were breaking one of the commandments. Although she knows this is a violation of the rules, she stays quiet and silently questions all the actions the pigs continue to take. This is an internal conflict that Clover is experiencing who mentally observes all the manipulating and controlling the pigs do with all the farm animals. She realizes this is all wrong but does not want to get involved. The pigs, specifically Napoleon, change the commandments knowing that not all the animals get fully educated enough to comprehend what each means and in result he, therefore, gets to manipulate the animals into doing anything he wants. The pigs see that all the animals will accept any changes made without arguing because in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Israelis are very adopted to abusing their own and using very little room for "moderate physical pressure". I believe torture shouldn't be legalized to be used on American citizens to protect America and make it safe again. I state this reasoning because after reading the article called "Believe me it's torture" by Christopher Hitches it showed me that the torture techniques that are being used can really affect an individual's physical, emotional, and psychological health. It's Hard Enough Being Me By Anna Lisa Raya Although the United States of America has gained global recognition for honorably operating under the famous words of the "land of the free and home of the brave", the country's history has essentially demonstrated continuous attention surrounding ethnic diversity and the effects upon individuals. As this occurs, the concern has transformed through generations into one of the nation's oldest, yet vital issue. University of Columbia alumni, Anna Lisa Raya, writes in her student essay titled, "It's Hard Enough Being Me," where she expresses empowerment and confidence within her experience, despite negative conditions. Seeing little squirrels and other rodents and insects scurry across the ground is a sight to behold when you live in the city for so long. Now that I have been getting out more often and seeing the sights that the world can offer more often, this feels like a home away from home. In the noon, a gentle glow, courtesy of the sun, peeks through the canopy above, but due to the density of the tree tops, it still remains rather dim in some areas. Could this rock be more than it seems? As I attempt to identify the substance, small, damaged parts of the rock begin to fall apart. This effect then snowballs, and eventually larger pieces of the rock fall off due to structural instability, revealing a hole in the ground, brimming with the sludge.
