Evaluation Of A Research Project
6.1 Introduction and overview
This section describes the methodology used for the research. It considers first the philosophical position agreed for the research, then the
methodology involved in the research. In this case, the research was made up of a focus group, using a sample of young people and adults with LDD
and a small number of parents and carers who completed questionnaires. The methods of data analysis were then documented, and the final section
reflects on issues of validity and reliability.
6.2 Philosophical position
It is understood that all research is centred on the researchers motivating philosophical assumptions. Smith and Wood's opinions are that "worldviews
and philosophical positions are the basis for making ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Furthermore, these worldviews and philosophical assumptions are what researchers have endorsed to carry out their research along with their chosen
methodologies for the expansion of gathering new knowledge in a given study (Frels and Onwuegbuzie, 2016). Therefore, to conduct and evaluate any
research, it is important for that reason to know what these assumptions are.
6.3 Epistemology foundationalism
It is explained that "Epistemology is a term that describes the nature of knowledge and the means of knowing; "how we know what we know" or
"what we conceive as a truth" (Kuada, 2012, p.59) and the way knowledge is created and constructed or revealed and fixed (Wisker, 2011).
Epistemology also provides a philosophical background for deciding what kinds of knowledge are legitimate and adequate, which helps with the most
novice of researchers who quickly select a data gathering method as they are keen to get on with the job (Gray, 2011).
Positivism is seen as being concerned with gathering facts about a reality that is seen as real (Silverman, 2006) in order to explain human behaviour
(Bryman and Bell, 2011). In opposition to this is interpretivism that seeks to understand human behaviour (Maylor and Blackman, 2005), whilst
constructionism holds the belief that as reality is socially constructed and subjective there are multiple realities, Berger and Luckman

Pallid Sturgeon Research Project
For our research project, we did our project over the Pallid Sturgeon. We researched why Pallid Sturgeons are going extinct and what we can do to
restore them. What we had finalized as our final project was to look up the information about the Pallid Sturgeon and why they are going extinct. Our
parts were distributed amongst everyone and I did the research regarding the recovery plan for the Pallid Sturgeon. I did all my research using the
internet and finding scholarly sources. The main source for a plan that I used was from the fws.gov website. This was a plan from the U.S. Fish &
Wildlife Service. This plan was originally approved in 1993 but since then has been revised. During my research for a recovery plan I found lots of

We all took the time and split up our research topics and made a google document so that we could all organize our research. Dylan Stamm did his
research on why the Pallid Sturgeon is going extinct, what it means to the rest of the ecosystem and why it matters. Sean McVeigh did his research
over the Pallid Sturgeon's habitat, loss, and their diet. Ryley did a mixture of research over some of the effects of dams, what to know and any
additional topics. What Hunter Dowse and I researched was over the same topic except in different sources. I researched the recovery plan and
process using some other sources but mainly the recovery plan online by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Hunter looked at other plans and any
additional information for our part. We all worked well together and planned a time at the Adele Learning Commons to meet up and work on the
poster. I put the poster together online through the UNL pixel lab website and printed the poster. Ryley picked up the poster and fixed any mistakes
before prior to presentation. We all contributed to the cost of the poster so it was very inexpensive for all of us. No one was delayed in their work
and made sure to have it ready by to put together onto the poster when we met up. Overall we never had any issues and things went very

A Research Project On Project Management Essay
Introduction
Working in the industry I do I have found myself in the position of either initiating or participating the process improvement projects. I feel that
project management is a very broad term for any type of project that a company, or individual, uses to implement a change or improvement to a
product or service. With this definition, I concluded that one of biggest projects I ever managed was when I was approached and began participating
in a Greenbelt (PMP) project for a process that I utilize daily basis. The intention of this project was to eliminate email correspondence and create a
more streamlined form of communication from engineering to manufacturing in regards to change orders. As the bill of materials specialist for the
configuration management team and having 8+ years' experience in the field I was the first point of contact when it came to improvements or ideas.
Mission Statement
To begin a project a mission statement must be identified. "A mission statement states the purpose of a project–its general direction and aims." (Leading
Project Teams). A mission statement should be clear and concise in nature and should establish the intention of the projects outcome. In this project the
mission statement, as mentioned above, was to ultimately to eliminate or reduce email correspondence between departments. The mission statement
indicated the project team responsible for completing this project and the stakeholders who were responsible for the review and

A Research Project Manager Should Monitor The Project
пѓјA virus wipes off very important data. пѓјA malware cause serious disaster. пѓјA hacker, hack our systems. пѓјA developer left the company during
the project development. пѓјElectric short circuit cause serious problem. пѓјUnrealistic budgeting and schedules. To identify the risk is brainstorming
job. It requires a lot of investigation to find the root cause of the problem. 6.1 Ishikawa Diagrams "Ishikawa diagrams" were first proposed by
"Professor Kauru Ishikawa" in the 1960s for quality management. It's also known as "fishbone diagrams" or "cause–and–effect diagrams". We are using
the same technique to identify risk on our project. 6.2 Risk Monitoring and Control The project risks were identified in the risk section, however we
can explain how the risk be monitored. The project manager should monitor the project in each task to prevent any indication of problems. 1.The
project manager will keep monitoring the milestones of the application to identify the potential risk and to confirm the completion of the project task.
2.Every week the project manager will held meeting with 2 software engineers, 1 test engineer and 1 staff from admin department. They communicate
closely and bring all the issues in discussion from all relevant tasks of the week and overall project. 3.The minutes of the meetings will be recorded
for future reference and the office record. After identifying the risk some decisions should be taken to avoid the risk, and responsible person

A Research Project On The Data Collection Process
Manatowa Research Project Report
Identify and describe key lessons learned in your data collection process
The first potential participant I spoke with on the phone asked me a question, "can any staff member volunteer to participate or do they have to be a
licensed social worker"? A very valid question and something I had not anticipated. I did not know how to answer her at first. That fact was not part of
my research design. As explained by the University of Oxford Personnel Service UAS (2015) "among the standards in research is the practice code of
being honest in proposing, conducting and reporting research." Academic research often has class timeline parameters which puts a strain on the
academic researcher. The integrity of the researcher in academic research class may be tested by shortcomings as the result of faults in the design
phase. The academic research must choose to do the right thing and act in an ethical manner when situations arise such as in the recruitment of
participants and modifications during the data collection phase.
Research design can eliminate potential pitfalls and challenges during research data collection and interpretation of that data. Spending more time and
effort in the design phase will help to eliminate and/or reduce such ethical situations. Crotty (1998) suggested:
1.What epistemology, theory of knowledge, embedded in the theoretical perspective, informs the research (e.g., objectivism, subjectivism, etc.)?
2.What

The Research Process on a Project
The Research Process: The research process went well, I felt like it was easier than most research projects. I found the project more preferable to a
traditional research paper. I feel like it is a better alternative because it gave us time to really research and give good connections. I ended up learning
more from the primary connections because I put more into my research. I felt like the secondary connections was not as informative because I was
researching connections that someone else had already made but with the primary I had more possibilities to really learn. I felt like there were less
restraints on what I could connect the author to. With this project I learned that it is not a simple as just typing an author's name into a search bar, I
found out that you have to dig deeper than that. I started my research on Wikipedia and then I would look at the sources Wiki used and get my
research from there.
Procedure:
The procedure of the project went well. I liked working individually, that way I am the only one to blame for my grade. With group assignments
there is always the chance of getting a not so helpful group or the lazy partner. This just leads to frustration for the student that really worked for the
grade. As a student I feel cheated if a partner or group member gets a good grade without really putting the effort into the project. If each student had
more deadlines for the project they would work harder on it and the research would be more thought

A Research Project On Action Research
Introduction: Action research is a structured process of inquiry by and for the person taking the action. The primary reason for doing this study is to
assist the person conducting the study to improve or refine an issue seen to need improvement. The Action Research Project that I conducted was fun
because I was working with 5th grade students and they still have some innocence left and they enjoy and are excited about participating in projects
that I have worked on this semester. I fear that they were more excited about participating than actually participating.
The challenges I faced during this project were that I did not have as many students as I would have liked for participation and data analysis. The spring
semester is the time that teachers are conducting benchmark testing and preparing for the STAAR standardized tests. My mentor teacher assisted me in
selecting students that she had observed as not having a huge interest in reading. Unfortunately the students chosen were ones that required intensive
tutoring in preparation for the STAAR tests. This was interesting in that students that struggled on the benchmarks and standardized tests were ones
that were not motivated readers.
Action Research Question: My initial action research question was: What is the impact of allowing students to choose texts based on their interests on
their attitudes about reading? Dr. Stufft felt that this question was a too broad for a study so I modified my question to read: How

Investigating the challenges and opportunities of Ben TreCoconut
Candy and suggesting applicable strategies for future development of Dong A Company–Owner of Ben Tre brand
August 2012
1. Introduction
This research is conducted in a short time, so obviously it will have limitations.
The research actually focus on evaluating, collecting data and information about how prices of coconut influence on Ben Tre Coconut Candy and also
on Ben Tre people. Besides, the elements such as source of materials, quality of coconuts, quantity will also be considered.
The researcher is particularly interested in how company can transfer challenges to opportunities. In business, company needs to maximize profit, but it

The second point is the threat of copyright. Recently, Ben Tre Coconut Candy must compare with other products which breach the copyright of Ben
Tre. A lot of fake products are named as Ben Tre Coconut Candy. This makes customers to be confused on quality of candy from Ben Tre. Moreover,
the company is also lost revenue.
The threat of substitute products is now increasing. There are a lot of international companies investing into Vietnam and they bring high quality candy
with famous brand. Ben Tre Coconut Candy needs to ensure the quality will always be remained at high level.
1.3 Research objectives
1. Investigating and evaluating how price of coconut in Ben Tre province at the present effect to the Dong A Company as well as Ben Tre Coconut

Evaluation Of An Action Research Project
Evaluation of an Action Research Project
In action research, an individual or a group of colleagues applies scientific methods to real–life problems or issues occurring within a work or
educational environment (Conscious Educating, 2009a). According to Dr. Waddell, "action research seeks to accomplish two goals, which are to
stimulate learning and make a difference" (Waddell, 2007). Teachers, researchers, and administrators all evaluate, investigate, and analyze problems or
concepts in hopes of improving them and thereby benefiting students, the classroom environment, and their own teaching practices.

According to Ary et al. (2015)," Action research allows educators to focus on an issue that directly relates to their learning environment" (p. 549).
Step 2, Plan, involves taking action–gathering data or information by observing or monitoring the effects. Ms. Senter set out to find information
regarding a fantasy unit. Through her research, she was able to locate ready–made units on science fiction but not on fantasy. The benefit of action
research is that it "encourages collaboration and the development of learning communities" (Ary et al., 2015, p. 550). Ms. Senter collaborated with
fellow English teachers, then realized that she still needs more resources and support. Accordingly, she drew on the local library for extra support,
deepening her knowledge and gaining materials to help her design her own nine–week instructional unit on fantasy to add to her eleventh–grade
literature curriculum.
Step 3, Act, sees the practitioner implementing a plan of action. Ms. Senter has completed her unit on fantasy and has developed her unit based on four
major themes: (1) fantasy as a unique literary form that emphasizes imagination and magic, with stories often set in an imaginary place; (2) fantasy's
use of elements also found in other novels (character, setting, plot, theme); (3) fantasy stories' multiple levels of meaning; and (4) fantasy's use of the
usual pattern of narrative progression (background, build up, climax, resolution). Ms. Senter selected

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
1. RESEARCH PARADIGM
Stating a knowledge claim means that researchers start a project with certain assumptions about how they will learn and what they will learn during
their enquiry. These claims might be called as paradigms (Lincoln & Guba, 2000; Mertens, 1998); philosophical assumptions, epistemologies, and
ontologies (Crotty, 1998); or broadly conceived research methodologies (Neuman, 2000). Philosophically, researchers make claims about what is
knowledge (ontology), how we know it (epistemology), what values go into it (axiology), how we write about it (rhetoric), and the processes for
studying it (methodology) (Creswell, 1994).
The researcher brings to the choice of a research design assumptions about the knowledge in claims. In addition, operating at more applied level are
strategires of inquiry or traditions of inquiry (Creswell, 1998) or methodologies (Mertens, 1998) that provide specific direction of procedures in
research design.

I am proposing to create a research project to see if mainstream students will be as successful as their typically developing peers in a general
education guided reading class. Assessment will be done weekly and is directly related to the common core state standard for second grade students. I
am also proposing to see how attitudes of teachers develop over the school year toward mainstreamed students. I want to see what interventions they
are currently using, what their knowledge base is on mainstreaming, and what professional development they think will help them support all students.
This research would be an action research project with a mix of quantitative data from students in the classroom as well as qualitative data from the
questionnaire received from teachers currently teaching at the school.
Topic
The topic that will be researched is mainstreaming special educational students in the general educational setting. I choose this broad subject because I
am currently a second grade teacher and have several students that are mainstreamed in the general education classroom. Mainstreaming is when
"students get to receive their education with their non–disabled peers who are the same age as them" (Foust, 2012). This is the first year that we are
doing guided reading in our school and I would really like to see data to show the benefits of having all students in the same classroom doing the same
curriculum.

Manhattan Project Research Paper
[1]The Manhattan Project was a research and development project that produced the first nuclear weapon of mass destruction during World War II. It
was conducted by the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada. [4][2]During this time, two types of bombs were developed. A gun–type fission
weapon was made of uranium–235 which is an isotope that only makes up 0.7% of natural uranium. Although it is chemically identical to uranium–238
it was difficult to separate it. Three methods were used for uranium enrichment: electromagnetic, gaseous, and thermal most of which was done at Oak
Ridge, TN and Hanford, WA. [6]The uranium was irradiated. Then it was transmuted into plutonium. [3]Chemically, it was separated and made into
uranium. [5]Since the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

bay. Hiroshima Japan was the target. The bomb detonated at an altitude of 1,750 with a blast equivalent to 13 kilotons of TNT. An area of around 4.7
miles was destroyed. Around 70,000–80,000 people were killed instantly 20,000 of which were Japanese soldiers and another 70,000 were injured. On
August 9, 1945, a second B–29, the Bockscar, lifted off with "Fat Man" in its bomb bay. The bomb was dropped on Nagasaki Japan over its industrial
valley between the Mitsubishi Steel and Arms Works to the south and the Mitsubishi–Uramaki Ordinance Works to the north. The explosion was
almost equivalent to the Trinity Test blast. It destroyed their industrial production and killed 35,000–40,000 people,

A Research Project On Inuit Of Arctic Canada
Throughout the course of human history epidemic spurts of self–destructive behaviour have posed both pertinent philosophical and medical problems
for societies all across the globe. Presently, in various ethnic communities spread across the world, rates of suicide, substance abuse, and other
detrimental actions towards oneself display their highest rates among young people (CITE THIS). While much research has been facilitated on the vast
degree and distribution of self–destructive behaviour, there continues to remain a vast disparity in the academic literature that focuses on the
underlying causes of such action (CITE). My research will attempt to effectively contribute to this general lack of research–driven information through

With specific regards to anthropology, many highly regarded scholars have done, and continue to do, ethnographic work within Inuit communities. This
research, generally ethnographic in nature, focuses on a plethora of different anthropological issues and attempts to address the growing level of
cultural adversity the people of the Arctic currently face. Interestingly, even the renowned French anthropologist Marcel Mauss has had a seemingly
profound influence on anthropological research among the Inuit, even though he never in fact visited the Canadian arctic himself during his lifetime
(Inuit Studies 2006).
Although social researchers have done a significant amount of work with the Inuit, a large amount of said research with communities has in fact
resulted in more harm than good (Thomas et el 2011, 165). Due to this detrimental nature, many groups of both Inuit and First nations people alike have
grown increasingly sceptical of researchers who come to facilitate research within their respective societies. To avoid such negative research impacts,
many studies with Native American groups have adopted a community–based participatory research approach. Community Based Participatory
Research (CBPR) has been presented as an effective way to help alleviate the dichotomous divide between researchers and communities
(Golberg–Freeman et al 2007, in Thomas et al 2011, 167). In addition to this, the reality that "in

research is divided in three topics. The first one discusses the interest from customers to buy online. The second looks at drivers and barriers for people
to buy online. Finally, the third topic investigates the different product categories that Caddyhome should include in their assortment. To analyze these
topics, a market research was conducted through a face to face questionnaire and the results analyzed through a statistical program called SPSS. These
results can be found in Appendix A. On the basis of these results, recommendations are given to Caddyhome regarding these topics.... Show more

Sample design For the purpose of our market research, we used a nonprobability sampling. We focused on people who, at least, sometimes buy online.
We used a convenience sample, which means that we asked people who were available when and where we collected our data. Our sample was
conducted among 100–150 respondents with Dutch, Belgian, French and Spanish nationalities. This should be enough in order to get some insight of
the interest of the customers for the project and derive some relevant results from it. 5. Research questions, hypothesis and data analysis I. The interest
to buy in an online hypermarket To analyze this topic we have six research questions. After we have tested the corresponding hypotheses, we give a
short recommendation to Caddyhome regarding this topic. Research question 1 Are customers interested in purchasing in an online hypermarket? H0:
Customers are indifferent to buy in an online hypermarket. (Вµ=3) Ha: Customers are not indifferent to buy in an online hypermarket. (Вµ is not

Research On It Project Management Assessment
Research on IT Project Management Assessment
Introduction:
Project Management is a way to manage, maintain and to monitor the progress of a project. Project Manager is responsible for appropriate
management; it is their duty to organize, plan, implement and deliver necessities with in time. Project Management deals with the rules, regulations,
procedures and disciplines with respect to a particular project. In the world of today, several organizations are using the applications of project
management because it assists in avoiding risk and it measures or evaluate quantitative and qualitative project outcomes more frequently.
It can move without difficulty between industries and disciplines like IT projects, HR & organizational change projects, events management etc.
because the span of experience and understanding allows to understand what is required quickly enough, and the approach is strong enough that can
manage almost anything.
Explain project management as a discipline.
Project Management as discipline describes how to teach, expedite, and help the team, helping it to deal with threats and difficulties found when
building software. Project Management is a canopy discipline that influences, and is affected by, all other disciplines. Project management activities
help to enhance value by creating a high–performance work environment where:

have discovered about Neptune and its moon, Triton. Science has evolved through the years and I wanted to learn about the discoveries that new
technologies have brought to life. Search Log: First, I typed Neptune into Google to see what results would be displayed. The first result was from

In class we learned about how Triton is the only major moon orbiting backwards in our solar system. Due to the motion of the tides, Triton's orbit is
spiraling in towards Neptune, so that Triton's semi major axis is continuously decreasing. The moon Proteus' semi major axis is continuously increasing
at a much smaller rate. The expansion of the disturbing function leads to the problem that a small inner satellite can be strongly disturbed by Triton.
The disturbing function is a method of calculating perturbations to an objects' elliptical orbit by calculating the acceleration caused by the gravitational
force of another body. Classical direct expansion is referred to an arbitrary plane, not an orbital plane and through algorithms derived in Ellis and
Murray. The algorithms were changed due to the retrograde motion of Triton and based on the different numbers a new disturbing function was created
for arbitrary inclination. Testing was done with current inclinations of the inner satellites of Neptune; however, assumptions were made due to the fact
that the inclinations are very small. "The future dynamics of the Neptune–Triton system may originate a possible 3:1 mean motion resonance involving

To sequence DNA it needs to be amplified first and this can be done in two ways; The Polymerase Chain reaction (PCR) and Cloning. Cloning
isolates the DNA fragments from restriction enzymes and then combines the fragments with the vector. Once united with the vector the DNA
fragments are then able to replicate to provide an unlimited amount of DNA for the experiment. PCR allows DNA to be multiplied millions of
times in a couple of hours, PCR is used because it's highly specific, easily automated and can amplify very small samples of DNA. The technique of
PCR has had a huge effect on genetic disease diagnosis. To sequence the DNA, Gel Electrophoresis is used as it separates DNA fragments according
to their size by running an electric current through the gel (Boehm). Mapping and sequencing the genome of organisms has allowed tests to be
conducted, for example; gene tests, this is where individual genes or short lengths of DNA or RNA are tested for and Chromosome tests; this is where
whole chromosomes or long lengths of DNA are tested for (National Human Genome Research Institute, National Institutes of Health 2014c).
This claim has been met by the human genome project, this is because by mapping and sequencing the genomes of standard organisms genetic testing
and genetic screening can be conducted. For example, new

An Investigation Based Research Project
During the course of English 102 this semester, I analyzed, questioned, and made critical connections between sources by using my research, my
sources, interpretation, analysis, and critique. Upon entering the class, I didn't understand what an inquiry–based research essay was, and I didn't see
the distinction between this inquiry–based research project and other types of research I have done. However, through several modifications and
suggestions from my classmates, instructor, and the Writing Center, I now understand what inquiry is, and how to employ it.
Throughout all the papers I've written it 's always just started to write off my head with little to no information about what the topic was. All thanks
to English 102 it opened my eyes on how to create and demonstrate what I could put down on a paper. The project first started out by asking a
question. Usually, I would stop there and go on with my paper, but for this paper, I dug deeper ask why, which only created more questions to
continue my project. We learn in class how you should take everything into consideration, for example, my project is about "the effects T.V
commercials have on children" the things that I was looking for were age, race, gender, and background. When more question is being asked if opens

organizing the information on my website.

For the last few decades there has been a war going on, not a war of bullets or missiles but a war of ideas and control. A group of individuals wishes

by the United States Government to study the psychological states of a human in different situations and environments and whether or not a human
could be programmed or controlled– it has come much farther than a few studies and experiments however, and is used today to control world politics,

Action Research Project Financial Management Essay
Action Research Project–Financial Oversite of Operations Synopsis of this paper contends with action research, and looks into processes and starts
with genuine reflection coordinated toward recognizing a point or themes deserving of a implementing change within an organization. Considering the
interconnected relationships and culture in our organizations and the value placed on producing more and carrying more responsibility, no action
merits doing unless it guarantees to make the focal part of an managers or organizational production more effective and fulfilling striving to enrich the
environments that work. Therefore, selecting a center, to begin to expand of the interworking of a project to bring this change about, is crucially
essential. Selecting a center starts with key participants that will be critical to the success of an action research project or activity analysts inquiring
usually by stakeholders of some issue that needs attention for this ultimate implementation of change.
Further, we need to recognize the qualities, convictions, and hypothetical viewpoints from real life experiences related to the issues that are being
identified as needing change with the participants involved in their core interest. For instance, if a stakeholder is worried about the expanding products
or equal consideration for cultural diversity, it will be useful for them to start by illuminating which approach–through action research can be qualitative

This literature–based research paper will discuss the following statement:
"Project success is dependent on the organizational Project Management strategy and having the right project manager appointed to the project under
consideration." This paper presents a review and analysis of research–based literature concerning the criteria by which project success is judged, the
factors that contribute to the success of projects; and the knowledge, skills and personal attributes of project managers that are expected to lead to
achievement of successful project outcomes. The study focuses on what project management is and what constitutes organizational project management
strategy. It also looks at what are the types of projects that could be differentiated and how are they differentiated.

Research Design And Research Project
Research Design and Methodology Research Design and Purpose The research design of this action research project is nonexperimental. The research
attempts to examine the relationship between the alignment of home and school beliefs or expectations as it relates to the push to limit gender
stereotypes in the classrooms of young preschool–age students. Understanding how gender stereotypes affect preschool–age children's perceptions of
what they feel is acceptable gender behavior in school compared to what these children feel is acceptable at home. This action research project will be
using qualitative research methods to investigate and gain a better understanding of preschool students and their parents' perspectives, opinions, and
attitudes about gender stereotypes as they relate to home and school alignment. This project's researchers will collect descriptive non–numerical data to
interpret preschool age students and their parents' views and attitudes. Qualitative research methods are the best method for my capstone project, as I
am attempting to understand the attitudes and opinions of individuals that cannot be quantified by a number. According to Ary, Jacobs, Sorensen, &
Walker (2015), qualitative methods "focus on understanding social phenomena from the perspective of human participants in natural settings" (p. 24).
Through this project, I do not seek to predict an outcome but to understand the effect of two distinct viewpoints about young children and their

Manhattan Project Research Papers
"If the radiance of a thousand suns were to burst at once into the sky, that would be like the splendor of the mighty one." – Robert Oppenheimer. The
Manhattan Project was the research and making of the world's first atomic weapons. This was a major asset that led the U.S into beating Japan and
caused the war to cumulate. The Manhattan Project brought nations together, took the necessary measure to end World War II, and gave America
multiple industrial advancements used in modern day warfare. The Manhattan Project was the code name for the effort to produce the first atomic
bomb during WWII. The project began in 1939, when two scientists accomplished atomic fission in uranium. These scientists were Jews, and during
the Holocaust, they had to leave Germany into America. It was also operated with the help from the United Kingdom and Canada. Scientist Leo
Szilard, Eugenge Wigner, and Edward Teller decided to tell the President of the United States, about the new fission technology that had been
discovered. Which they believed was capable of making bombs. Most believed that Germany would be able create the first atomic bomb, so that's why
the three scientists requested the help of Albert Einstein, and together they wrote a letter to President Roosevelt describing their beliefs that nuclear
fission "would lead to the construction of bombs and it is very possible...that extremely powerful bombs of a new type may be created." In June 1941,

Group Project Research Paper
"This is going to be a group project." Most students dread hearing those words. I know that I groan inside because I think group projects are awkward
and slightly unfair. Considering that more and more teachers are assigning group projects more often, I decided to look into the benefits of group
projects. After doing a simple Google search, I realized that students gain many skills and learn important lessons when doing group projects.
Group projects can be extremely beneficial to students as they prepare to enter the world of work. One of the most important skills it teaches young
adults it to collaborate and work with others. Often times, people are going to have to work with someone they may not like. Members of the group

Cathy Middlecamp, who writes on Teaching Stories, surveyed students on their thoughts about group projects and observed that "dictators" ignore the
opinions of others and piledrive their own agenda while "not allowing others to share their knowledge." Working in group projects is the opportunity
for these students to practice humility and listening skills. If you are a quieter student, speak up and let this person know that they need to take it
down a level. If you are being the controller, take a step back and let someone else do the talking for a while. On the other side of the coin are the
students who slack off in a group project. They think that because there are others in the group they do not have to do that much work. The less
motivated students lean on the kids who are working hard to get a good grade to get them through the class. Evidently there is going to be
disagreement about approaches and information. Some students are too stubborn to accept an opposing viewpoint and refuse to compromise.
Compromising is a skill everyone must learn! When students are allowed to choose their own groups, the quieter students often get put into whatever
group needs an extra person. Just because the student is shy does not mean that they do not have good ideas to contribute. Make sure that everyone

Advantages And Disadvantages Of A Research Project
1.Specify the objectives of the research– A clear statement of objectives that helps one to develop in effective research is very important. This step
helps the decision makers to evaluate their project efficiently. It is very critical that one need to have manageable objectives.
2.Review the context of the research problem– One must think carefully and focus on the teamwork. This helps the researcher to determine the findings
of their project and it will produce enough information to be worth the cost. One has to identify the environmental variables through which it will affect
the research project.
3.Explore the nature of the problem– Research problems offer a variety and different range of problems starting from simple to complex and it depends
on the number of variables and the nature of the relationship. It is efficient that if the nature of the problem is understandable then ... Show more content

2.5 ADVANTAGES OF PREPARING A RESEARCH PROBLEM
Research actually begins when a research problem is formulated by the researcher. It makes the researchers well aware of the tasks that they are
going to perform for their respective project to accomplish the required results or outcomes. Research is a process that needs to be completed by
following a sequence of steps. The research problems play an important role in formulating these sequential steps. It also helps them in avoiding the use
of unnecessary steps during the research.

A Research Project At Nasa
VII.COMMON PITFALLS
To illustrate some common pitfalls that can happen when using RM tools, I will take an example of a project at NASA in which a misapplication of
a RM tool caused major project overrun. In this project, the requirements were decomposed into four levels. Level 1were the 'System level
requirements' which were very high level requirements and rarely changed. Level 1 requirement underwent several layers of decomposition to produce
Level 2 requirements or the 'Allocated requirements'. Level 2 requirements were also high level and their change frequency was minimal. Level 2
requirements were subdivided into greater detail to produce Level 3 or 'Derived requirements'. There was a bi–directional linkage between Level 2 and

They were requesting many changes in this schema and each was in isolation of the changes requested by other organizations. Ultimately this went out
of control with ineffective administration and led to loss of data integrity, common information being self–contained within each class and corruption of
established naming conventions as each organization customized their own classes.
There were also problems with the linkages between requirements. The project averaged 1500 requirements at Level 3, 6000 requirements at Level 4
and the total number of links between these two classes averaged 19,000 links [13]. Since the project had a multiple class approach the complexity
of the linkages between these classes also grew extensively causing issues of performance. When updating the database, major time delays were
experienced. Some updates took hours and keeping the database current was seen as a challenge. The RM tool became only a medium of storage not
because of its limitations but because of the way it was implemented [13].
So what are the important lessons to learn here?
Before implementing a RM tool it is good to understand its capabilities so that you know if it can perform effectively over the lifetime of a project.
To implement a tool effectively, you should bring together engineers and database experts to design a good schema for your requirements data at the

A Research Project On Project Management
Project Management project methodology is an entirely characterized blend of consistently related practices, strategies and procedures that decide how
best to arrange, create, control and convey an undertaking all through the constant execution process until effective consummation and end. It is a
scientifically–proven, methodical and restrained way to deal with project design, execution and fulfillment. Agile methodology is for a task that needs
great deftness in necessities. The key components of Agile are its short–termed conveyance cycles (sprints), Agile necessities, dynamic group society,
less prohibitive task control and concentrate on real–time communication. Iterative methodology is a method for separating the product improvement
of a substantial application into little chunks. In iterative improvement, feature code is composed, created and tested in many different cycles. With
every cycle, extra components can be planned, created and tested until there is a completely practical programming application prepared to be sent to
clients. Waterfall methodology is the one that is the most utilized over all businesses, and it is exceptionally basic in programming advancement and
development. There are numerous variants of the waterfall technique, yet the original one included these high–level stages: Requirements specification,
Design, Construction (AKA or coding), Integration, Testing and debugging (AKA Validation), Installation, and Maintenance. Agile offers a

Beanbag Project Research Paper

Original? Why?
Was it difficult to solve? Consider access to knowledge, problems to solve, resources needed
What real life problem did it solve?
The Beanbag Project
This experiment is quite original as many people just use bean bags without even thinking about how many beans are used inside of them. I haven't
heard of any other experiments testing the same thing, so to me I think that this experiment is unique.
This experiment doesn't seem very difficult to solve, as the main thing that you have to do is test other people's thoughts. The resource which would be
needed would be beanbags with different amount of beans in them, which may have been difficult cost wise.

This means that Sam's experiment is original as it most likely hasn't been done before where someone has come up with a different conclusion.
This experiment may have been difficult to solve if the person conducting the experiment didn't either have chickens at their house or have access to
someone else's backyard chickens. He would also have to take into consideration that the experiment might not be a fair test as some of the chickens
may be fed more, making their eggs bigger.
A real life problem is the weight of chicken eggs, and how some are very light and some are quite heavy in comparison. This could also solve the
problem of knowing when chickens will lay eggs which weigh a different amount. This could also lead someone on to conduct an experiment which
shows the type of food which chickens eat to make their eggs lose less weight. It would mean that the owners of the chickens could know when to stop
eating their eggs and just enjoy them as their pets, or could label their eggs either light or heavy.

Evaluating a Research Project's Methodology

  • 1. Evaluation Of A Research Project 6.1 Introduction and overview This section describes the methodology used for the research. It considers first the philosophical position agreed for the research, then the methodology involved in the research. In this case, the research was made up of a focus group, using a sample of young people and adults with LDD and a small number of parents and carers who completed questionnaires. The methods of data analysis were then documented, and the final section reflects on issues of validity and reliability. 6.2 Philosophical position It is understood that all research is centred on the researchers motivating philosophical assumptions. Smith and Wood's opinions are that "worldviews and philosophical positions are the basis for making ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Furthermore, these worldviews and philosophical assumptions are what researchers have endorsed to carry out their research along with their chosen methodologies for the expansion of gathering new knowledge in a given study (Frels and Onwuegbuzie, 2016). Therefore, to conduct and evaluate any research, it is important for that reason to know what these assumptions are. 6.3 Epistemology foundationalism It is explained that "Epistemology is a term that describes the nature of knowledge and the means of knowing; "how we know what we know" or "what we conceive as a truth" (Kuada, 2012, p.59) and the way knowledge is created and constructed or revealed and fixed (Wisker, 2011). Epistemology also provides a philosophical background for deciding what kinds of knowledge are legitimate and adequate, which helps with the most novice of researchers who quickly select a data gathering method as they are keen to get on with the job (Gray, 2011). Positivism is seen as being concerned with gathering facts about a reality that is seen as real (Silverman, 2006) in order to explain human behaviour (Bryman and Bell, 2011). In opposition to this is interpretivism that seeks to understand human behaviour (Maylor and Blackman, 2005), whilst constructionism holds the belief that as reality is socially constructed and subjective there are multiple realities, Berger and Luckman ... • 2. Pallid Sturgeon Research Project For our research project, we did our project over the Pallid Sturgeon. We researched why Pallid Sturgeons are going extinct and what we can do to restore them. What we had finalized as our final project was to look up the information about the Pallid Sturgeon and why they are going extinct. Our parts were distributed amongst everyone and I did the research regarding the recovery plan for the Pallid Sturgeon. I did all my research using the internet and finding scholarly sources. The main source for a plan that I used was from the fws.gov website. This was a plan from the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. This plan was originally approved in 1993 but since then has been revised. During my research for a recovery plan I found lots of information ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We all took the time and split up our research topics and made a google document so that we could all organize our research. Dylan Stamm did his research on why the Pallid Sturgeon is going extinct, what it means to the rest of the ecosystem and why it matters. Sean McVeigh did his research over the Pallid Sturgeon's habitat, loss, and their diet. Ryley did a mixture of research over some of the effects of dams, what to know and any additional topics. What Hunter Dowse and I researched was over the same topic except in different sources. I researched the recovery plan and process using some other sources but mainly the recovery plan online by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Hunter looked at other plans and any additional information for our part. We all worked well together and planned a time at the Adele Learning Commons to meet up and work on the poster. I put the poster together online through the UNL pixel lab website and printed the poster. Ryley picked up the poster and fixed any mistakes before prior to presentation. We all contributed to the cost of the poster so it was very inexpensive for all of us. No one was delayed in their work and made sure to have it ready by to put together onto the poster when we met up. Overall we never had any issues and things went very ... • 3. A Research Project On Project Management Essay Introduction Working in the industry I do I have found myself in the position of either initiating or participating the process improvement projects. I feel that project management is a very broad term for any type of project that a company, or individual, uses to implement a change or improvement to a product or service. With this definition, I concluded that one of biggest projects I ever managed was when I was approached and began participating in a Greenbelt (PMP) project for a process that I utilize daily basis. The intention of this project was to eliminate email correspondence and create a more streamlined form of communication from engineering to manufacturing in regards to change orders. As the bill of materials specialist for the configuration management team and having 8+ years' experience in the field I was the first point of contact when it came to improvements or ideas. Mission Statement To begin a project a mission statement must be identified. "A mission statement states the purpose of a project–its general direction and aims." (Leading Project Teams). A mission statement should be clear and concise in nature and should establish the intention of the projects outcome. In this project the mission statement, as mentioned above, was to ultimately to eliminate or reduce email correspondence between departments. The mission statement indicated the project team responsible for completing this project and the stakeholders who were responsible for the review and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. A Research Project Manager Should Monitor The Project пѓјA virus wipes off very important data. пѓјA malware cause serious disaster. пѓјA hacker, hack our systems. пѓјA developer left the company during the project development. пѓјElectric short circuit cause serious problem. пѓјUnrealistic budgeting and schedules. To identify the risk is brainstorming job. It requires a lot of investigation to find the root cause of the problem. 6.1 Ishikawa Diagrams "Ishikawa diagrams" were first proposed by "Professor Kauru Ishikawa" in the 1960s for quality management. It's also known as "fishbone diagrams" or "cause–and–effect diagrams". We are using the same technique to identify risk on our project. 6.2 Risk Monitoring and Control The project risks were identified in the risk section, however we can explain how the risk be monitored. The project manager should monitor the project in each task to prevent any indication of problems. 1.The project manager will keep monitoring the milestones of the application to identify the potential risk and to confirm the completion of the project task. 2.Every week the project manager will held meeting with 2 software engineers, 1 test engineer and 1 staff from admin department. They communicate closely and bring all the issues in discussion from all relevant tasks of the week and overall project. 3.The minutes of the meetings will be recorded for future reference and the office record. • 5. A Research Project On The Data Collection Process Manatowa Research Project Report Identify and describe key lessons learned in your data collection process The first potential participant I spoke with on the phone asked me a question, "can any staff member volunteer to participate or do they have to be a licensed social worker"? A very valid question and something I had not anticipated. I did not know how to answer her at first. That fact was not part of my research design. As explained by the University of Oxford Personnel Service UAS (2015) "among the standards in research is the practice code of being honest in proposing, conducting and reporting research." Academic research often has class timeline parameters which puts a strain on the academic researcher. The integrity of the researcher in academic research class may be tested by shortcomings as the result of faults in the design phase. The academic research must choose to do the right thing and act in an ethical manner when situations arise such as in the recruitment of participants and modifications during the data collection phase. Research design can eliminate potential pitfalls and challenges during research data collection and interpretation of that data. Spending more time and effort in the design phase will help to eliminate and/or reduce such ethical situations. Crotty (1998) suggested: 1.What epistemology, theory of knowledge, embedded in the theoretical perspective, informs the research (e.g., objectivism, subjectivism, etc.)? 2.What ... • 6. The Research Process on a Project The Research Process: The research process went well, I felt like it was easier than most research projects. I found the project more preferable to a traditional research paper. I feel like it is a better alternative because it gave us time to really research and give good connections. I ended up learning more from the primary connections because I put more into my research. I felt like the secondary connections was not as informative because I was researching connections that someone else had already made but with the primary I had more possibilities to really learn. I felt like there were less restraints on what I could connect the author to. With this project I learned that it is not a simple as just typing an author's name into a search bar, I found out that you have to dig deeper than that. I started my research on Wikipedia and then I would look at the sources Wiki used and get my research from there. Procedure: The procedure of the project went well. I liked working individually, that way I am the only one to blame for my grade. With group assignments there is always the chance of getting a not so helpful group or the lazy partner. This just leads to frustration for the student that really worked for the grade. As a student I feel cheated if a partner or group member gets a good grade without really putting the effort into the project. If each student had more deadlines for the project they would work harder on it and the research would be more thought ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. A Research Project On Action Research Introduction: Action research is a structured process of inquiry by and for the person taking the action. The primary reason for doing this study is to assist the person conducting the study to improve or refine an issue seen to need improvement. The Action Research Project that I conducted was fun because I was working with 5th grade students and they still have some innocence left and they enjoy and are excited about participating in projects that I have worked on this semester. I fear that they were more excited about participating than actually participating. The challenges I faced during this project were that I did not have as many students as I would have liked for participation and data analysis. The spring semester is the time that teachers are conducting benchmark testing and preparing for the STAAR standardized tests. My mentor teacher assisted me in selecting students that she had observed as not having a huge interest in reading. Unfortunately the students chosen were ones that required intensive tutoring in preparation for the STAAR tests. This was interesting in that students that struggled on the benchmarks and standardized tests were ones that were not motivated readers. Action Research Question: My initial action research question was: What is the impact of allowing students to choose texts based on their interests on their attitudes about reading? Dr. Stufft felt that this question was a too broad for a study so I modified my question to read: How ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 10. Evaluation Of An Action Research Project Evaluation of an Action Research Project In action research, an individual or a group of colleagues applies scientific methods to real–life problems or issues occurring within a work or educational environment (Conscious Educating, 2009a). According to Dr. Waddell, "action research seeks to accomplish two goals, which are to stimulate learning and make a difference" (Waddell, 2007). Teachers, researchers, and administrators all evaluate, investigate, and analyze problems or concepts in hopes of improving them and thereby benefiting students, the classroom environment, and their own teaching practices. According to Ary et al. (2015)," Action research allows educators to focus on an issue that directly relates to their learning environment" (p. 549). Step 2, Plan, involves taking action–gathering data or information by observing or monitoring the effects. Ms. Senter set out to find information regarding a fantasy unit. Through her research, she was able to locate ready–made units on science fiction but not on fantasy. The benefit of action research is that it "encourages collaboration and the development of learning communities" (Ary et al., 2015, p. 550). Ms. Senter collaborated with fellow English teachers, then realized that she still needs more resources and support. Accordingly, she drew on the local library for extra support, deepening her knowledge and gaining materials to help her design her own nine–week instructional unit on fantasy to add to her eleventh–grade literature curriculum. Step 3, Act, sees the practitioner implementing a plan of action. Ms. Senter has completed her unit on fantasy and has developed her unit based on four major themes: (1) fantasy as a unique literary form that emphasizes imagination and magic, with stories often set in an imaginary place; (2) fantasy's use of elements also found in other novels (character, setting, plot, theme); (3) fantasy stories' multiple levels of meaning; and (4) fantasy's use of the usual pattern of narrative progression (background, build up, climax, resolution). RESEARCH PARADIGM Stating a knowledge claim means that researchers start a project with certain assumptions about how they will learn and what they will learn during their enquiry. These claims might be called as paradigms (Lincoln & Guba, 2000; Mertens, 1998); philosophical assumptions, epistemologies, and ontologies (Crotty, 1998); or broadly conceived research methodologies (Neuman, 2000). Philosophically, researchers make claims about what is knowledge (ontology), how we know it (epistemology), what values go into it (axiology), how we write about it (rhetoric), and the processes for studying it (methodology) (Creswell, 1994). The researcher brings to the choice of a research design assumptions about the knowledge in claims. In addition, operating at more applied level are strategires of inquiry or traditions of inquiry (Creswell, 1998) or methodologies (Mertens, 1998) that provide specific direction of procedures in research design. • 13. A Research Project : Mainstreaming Special Educational... I am proposing to create a research project to see if mainstream students will be as successful as their typically developing peers in a general education guided reading class. Assessment will be done weekly and is directly related to the common core state standard for second grade students. I am also proposing to see how attitudes of teachers develop over the school year toward mainstreamed students. I want to see what interventions they are currently using, what their knowledge base is on mainstreaming, and what professional development they think will help them support all students. This research would be an action research project with a mix of quantitative data from students in the classroom as well as qualitative data from the questionnaire received from teachers currently teaching at the school. Topic The topic that will be researched is mainstreaming special educational students in the general educational setting. I choose this broad subject because I am currently a second grade teacher and have several students that are mainstreamed in the general education classroom. Mainstreaming is when "students get to receive their education with their non–disabled peers who are the same age as them" (Foust, 2012). This is the first year that we are doing guided reading in our school and I would really like to see data to show the benefits of having all students in the same classroom doing the same curriculum. It was conducted by the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada. [4][2]During this time, two types of bombs were developed. A gun–type fission weapon was made of uranium–235 which is an isotope that only makes up 0.7% of natural uranium. Although it is chemically identical to uranium–238 it was difficult to separate it. Three methods were used for uranium enrichment: electromagnetic, gaseous, and thermal most of which was done at Oak Ridge, TN and Hanford, WA. [6]The uranium was irradiated. Then it was transmuted into plutonium. [3]Chemically, it was separated and made into uranium. [5]Since the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... [6]It was codenamed Trinity Test. The bomb detonated at an altitude of 1,750 with a blast equivalent to 13 kilotons of TNT. An area of around 4.7 miles was destroyed. Around 70,000–80,000 people were killed instantly 20,000 of which were Japanese soldiers and another 70,000 were injured. On August 9, 1945, a second B–29, the Bockscar, lifted off with "Fat Man" in its bomb bay. Presently, in various ethnic communities spread across the world, rates of suicide, substance abuse, and other detrimental actions towards oneself display their highest rates among young people (CITE THIS). With specific regards to anthropology, many highly regarded scholars have done, and continue to do, ethnographic work within Inuit communities. This research, generally ethnographic in nature, focuses on a plethora of different anthropological issues and attempts to address the growing level of cultural adversity the people of the Arctic currently face. Interestingly, even the renowned French anthropologist Marcel Mauss has had a seemingly profound influence on anthropological research among the Inuit, even though he never in fact visited the Canadian arctic himself during his lifetime (Inuit Studies 2006). Although social researchers have done a significant amount of work with the Inuit, a large amount of said research with communities has in fact resulted in more harm than good (Thomas et el 2011, 165). Due to this detrimental nature, many groups of both Inuit and First nations people alike have grown increasingly sceptical of researchers who come to facilitate research within their respective societies. To avoid such negative research impacts, many studies with Native American groups have adopted a community–based participatory research approach. Community Based Participatory Research (CBPR) has been presented as an effective way to help alleviate the dichotomous divide between researchers and communities (Golberg–Freeman et al 2007, in Thomas et al 2011, 167). Project Manager is responsible for appropriate management; it is their duty to organize, plan, implement and deliver necessities with in time. Project Management deals with the rules, regulations, procedures and disciplines with respect to a particular project. In the world of today, several organizations are using the applications of project management because it assists in avoiding risk and it measures or evaluate quantitative and qualitative project outcomes more frequently. It can move without difficulty between industries and disciplines like IT projects, HR & organizational change projects, events management etc. because the span of experience and understanding allows to understand what is required quickly enough, and the approach is strong enough that can manage almost anything. Explain project management as a discipline. Project Management as discipline describes how to teach, expedite, and help the team, helping it to deal with threats and difficulties found when building software. Project Management is a canopy discipline that influences, and is affected by, all other disciplines. In class we learned about how Triton is the only major moon orbiting backwards in our solar system. Due to the motion of the tides, Triton's orbit is spiraling in towards Neptune, so that Triton's semi major axis is continuously decreasing. The moon Proteus' semi major axis is continuously increasing at a much smaller rate. The expansion of the disturbing function leads to the problem that a small inner satellite can be strongly disturbed by Triton. The disturbing function is a method of calculating perturbations to an objects' elliptical orbit by calculating the acceleration caused by the gravitational force of another body. Classical direct expansion is referred to an arbitrary plane, not an orbital plane and through algorithms derived in Ellis and Murray. The algorithms were changed due to the retrograde motion of Triton and based on the different numbers a new disturbing function was created for arbitrary inclination. Testing was done with current inclinations of the inner satellites of Neptune; however, assumptions were made due to the fact that the inclinations are very small. Cloning isolates the DNA fragments from restriction enzymes and then combines the fragments with the vector. Once united with the vector the DNA fragments are then able to replicate to provide an unlimited amount of DNA for the experiment. PCR allows DNA to be multiplied millions of times in a couple of hours, PCR is used because it's highly specific, easily automated and can amplify very small samples of DNA. The technique of PCR has had a huge effect on genetic disease diagnosis. To sequence the DNA, Gel Electrophoresis is used as it separates DNA fragments according to their size by running an electric current through the gel (Boehm). Mapping and sequencing the genome of organisms has allowed tests to be conducted, for example; gene tests, this is where individual genes or short lengths of DNA or RNA are tested for and Chromosome tests; this is where whole chromosomes or long lengths of DNA are tested for (National Human Genome Research Institute, National Institutes of Health 2014c). Qualitative research methods are the best method for my capstone project, as I am attempting to understand the attitudes and opinions of individuals that cannot be quantified by a number. According to Ary, Jacobs, Sorensen, & Walker (2015), qualitative methods "focus on understanding social phenomena from the perspective of human participants in natural settings" (p. 24). Through this project, I do not seek to predict an outcome but to understand the effect of two distinct viewpoints about young children and their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. Manhattan Project Research Papers "If the radiance of a thousand suns were to burst at once into the sky, that would be like the splendor of the mighty one." – Robert Oppenheimer. The Manhattan Project was the research and making of the world's first atomic weapons. This was a major asset that led the U.S into beating Japan and caused the war to cumulate. The Manhattan Project brought nations together, took the necessary measure to end World War II, and gave America multiple industrial advancements used in modern day warfare. The Manhattan Project was the code name for the effort to produce the first atomic bomb during WWII. The project began in 1939, when two scientists accomplished atomic fission in uranium. These scientists were Jews, and during the Holocaust, they had to leave Germany into America. It was also operated with the help from the United Kingdom and Canada. Scientist Leo Szilard, Eugenge Wigner, and Edward Teller decided to tell the President of the United States, about the new fission technology that had been discovered. Which they believed was capable of making bombs. Most believed that Germany would be able create the first atomic bomb, so that's why the three scientists requested the help of Albert Einstein, and together they wrote a letter to President Roosevelt describing their beliefs that nuclear fission "would lead to the construction of bombs and it is very possible...that extremely powerful bombs of a new type may be created." • 37. Group Project Research Paper "This is going to be a group project." Most students dread hearing those words. I know that I groan inside because I think group projects are awkward and slightly unfair. Considering that more and more teachers are assigning group projects more often, I decided to look into the benefits of group projects. After doing a simple Google search, I realized that students gain many skills and learn important lessons when doing group projects. Group projects can be extremely beneficial to students as they prepare to enter the world of work. One of the most important skills it teaches young adults it to collaborate and work with others. Often times, people are going to have to work with someone they may not like. Members of the group may disagree and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Cathy Middlecamp, who writes on Teaching Stories, surveyed students on their thoughts about group projects and observed that "dictators" ignore the opinions of others and piledrive their own agenda while "not allowing others to share their knowledge." Working in group projects is the opportunity for these students to practice humility and listening skills. If you are a quieter student, speak up and let this person know that they need to take it down a level. If you are being the controller, take a step back and let someone else do the talking for a while. On the other side of the coin are the students who slack off in a group project. They think that because there are others in the group they do not have to do that much work. The less motivated students lean on the kids who are working hard to get a good grade to get them through the class. Evidently there is going to be disagreement about approaches and information. Some students are too stubborn to accept an opposing viewpoint and refuse to compromise. Compromising is a skill everyone must learn! When students are allowed to choose their own groups, the quieter students often get put into whatever group needs an extra person. Just because the student is shy does not mean that they do not have good ideas to contribute. Make sure that everyone ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 43. A Research Project At Nasa VII.COMMON PITFALLS To illustrate some common pitfalls that can happen when using RM tools, I will take an example of a project at NASA in which a misapplication of a RM tool caused major project overrun. In this project, the requirements were decomposed into four levels. Level 1were the 'System level requirements' which were very high level requirements and rarely changed. Level 1 requirement underwent several layers of decomposition to produce Level 2 requirements or the 'Allocated requirements'. Level 2 requirements were also high level and their change frequency was minimal. Level 2 requirements were subdivided into greater detail to produce Level 3 or 'Derived requirements'. There was a bi–directional linkage between Level 2 and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They were requesting many changes in this schema and each was in isolation of the changes requested by other organizations. Ultimately this went out of control with ineffective administration and led to loss of data integrity, common information being self–contained within each class and corruption of established naming conventions as each organization customized their own classes. There were also problems with the linkages between requirements. The project averaged 1500 requirements at Level 3, 6000 requirements at Level 4 and the total number of links between these two classes averaged 19,000 links [13]. Since the project had a multiple class approach the complexity of the linkages between these classes also grew extensively causing issues of performance. When updating the database, major time delays were experienced. Some updates took hours and keeping the database current was seen as a challenge. The RM tool became only a medium of storage not because of its limitations but because of the way it was implemented [13]. So what are the important lessons to learn here? Before implementing a RM tool it is good to understand its capabilities so that you know if it can perform effectively over the lifetime of a project. To implement a tool effectively, you should bring together engineers and database experts to design a good schema for your requirements data at the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 44. A Research Project On Project Management Project Management project methodology is an entirely characterized blend of consistently related practices, strategies and procedures that decide how best to arrange, create, control and convey an undertaking all through the constant execution process until effective consummation and end. It is a scientifically–proven, methodical and restrained way to deal with project design, execution and fulfillment. Agile methodology is for a task that needs great deftness in necessities. The key components of Agile are its short–termed conveyance cycles (sprints), Agile necessities, dynamic group society, less prohibitive task control and concentrate on real–time communication. Iterative methodology is a method for separating the product improvement of a substantial application into little chunks. In iterative improvement, feature code is composed, created and tested in many different cycles. With every cycle, extra components can be planned, created and tested until there is a completely practical programming application prepared to be sent to clients. Waterfall methodology is the one that is the most utilized over all businesses, and it is exceptionally basic in programming advancement and development. There are numerous variants of the waterfall technique, yet the original one included these high–level stages: Requirements specification, Design, Construction (AKA or coding), Integration, Testing and debugging (AKA Validation), Installation, and Maintenance. The Beanbag Project This experiment is quite original as many people just use bean bags without even thinking about how many beans are used inside of them. I haven't heard of any other experiments testing the same thing, so to me I think that this experiment is unique. This experiment doesn't seem very difficult to solve, as the main thing that you have to do is test other people's thoughts. The resource which would be needed would be beanbags with different amount of beans in them, which may have been difficult cost wise. This means that Sam's experiment is original as it most likely hasn't been done before where someone has come up with a different conclusion. This experiment may have been difficult to solve if the person conducting the experiment didn't either have chickens at their house or have access to someone else's backyard chickens. He would also have to take into consideration that the experiment might not be a fair test as some of the chickens may be fed more, making their eggs bigger. A real life problem is the weight of chicken eggs, and how some are very light and some are quite heavy in comparison. This could also solve the problem of knowing when chickens will lay eggs which weigh a different amount. This could also lead someone on to conduct an experiment which shows the type of food which chickens eat to make their eggs lose less weight. It would mean that the owners of the chickens could know when to stop eating their eggs and just enjoy them as their pets, or could label their eggs either light or heavy. Selecting your own ...
