2. One student will volunteer to come up with a sentence incorporating figurative language. This student one will pass their sentence to student 2.

4. Student 2 will pass their sentence back to student one, and student two will pass their sentence to student 3. (Each sentence creator will only be able to see the sentence before theirs.)

5. This will continue until everyone has completed a sentence.

6. (30 minutes) I will instruct the first student to write their first sentence. I will also instruct the rest of the students to work on their portfolio’s, or create new poetry to add to their portfolio while they are waiting.

7. I will then instruct students to read their line in front of the camera in the back of the room. Students should consider how they should read their line: using emphasis on particular words, read fast or slow, use body movement etc.

8. (5 minutes) I will instruct students to put finishing touches on their portfolios and hand them in.

Students will hand in their portfolios IV) EVIDENCE OF LEARNING The completed portfolio and media project are evidence of learning.<br />V) TEACHER REFELECTION <br />Bobby and Summer were becoming very talkative during the time the students had to record their poetry line. They were not talking about their portfolio or assignment. Next time I will specify that students will have to work alone and quietly when preparing their portfolio. <br />Jesse and Karen were not talkative enough, however. They didn’t want to record their lines in front of the class. After I saw how afraid they were I asked the hall monitors if it would be possible for the students to complete the task in the hallway. The students were more confident when they were alone. <br />
