ACTIVITY N°1
NAME: LET’S BE DESIGNERS FOR ONE DAY
TYPE: Pseudo- Communicative
FOCUS: Listening – Speaking
GROUPING SCHEME: Whole work activity
TIME ALLOTTED: 10 minutes
DESCRIPTION: The teacher will make use of audio visual material to work on this activity. She
will provide a big picture on the white board which shows people wearing different outfits. The
teacher will model the activity by playing the guessing game. She will choose one character form
the picture and students will have to guess who it is by listening to the teacher’s sentence. For
instance,
T: I’m wearing a light blue t-shirt and red shorts.
S: Are you the boy?
T: Yes, I am.
Students will be chosen by the teacher and the chosen student will say aloud a sentence to
describe what the character that he/she has chosen is wearing. The rest of the class will have to
identify it.
TEACHER’S ROLE: Teacher will help the student who will describe his/her character if it’s
necessary. She will also write on the whiteboard the structures that students will use to make or
answer the questions. It will be very useful for students.

GROUPING SCHEME: Pair work activity
TIME ALLOTTED: 10 minutes
DESCRIPTION: Teacher will tell students that they will do a matching activity on the computer
with HOT POTATOESJMATCH. They will have to drag the images to their corresponding
meaning.
TEACHER’S ROLE: Teacher will check if all students are working on the activity and check who is
actively working and who is not. The teacher will also walk around the computer desks to check
if they need help to drag the images to their corresponding meaning or to understand the
activity.

ACTIVITY N°3
NAME: LET’S BE DESIGNERS FOR ONE DAY
TYPE: Pseudo- Communicative
FOCUS: Writing – Speaking
GROUPING SCHEME: Pair work activity
TIME ALLOTTED: 20 minutes
DESCRIPTION: Teacher will show students a picture of a famous cartoon with the description of
what he is wearing (a big picture on the screen), but this description is not finished so children will
help the teacher finish describing the cartoon’s clothes. (Teacher will write on the whiteboard
what they say). Once the activity was understood by the whole group, the teacher will ask them
to finish the description of five famous cartoons on the computer using the HOT POTATOES
JCLOZE program. Students will use vocabulary and grammar structures worked in this class and
recycled language from previous lessons. Teacher will clarify that in the first three descriptions
students will have to complete the blanks with clothes items and the last two descriptions with
the missing grammar word.
TEACHER’S ROLE: Teacher will check if all students are involved in the activity and check who is
actively working and who is not. The teacher will also walk around the tables to check if they
need help to complete the description of the famous cartoons.

NAME: LET’S BE DESIGNERS FOR ONE DAY
TYPE: Quasi- Communicative
FOCUS: Writing – Speaking - Reading
GROUPING SCHEME: Solo
TIME ALLOTTED: 25 minutes
DESCRIPTION: Teacher will continue working on the designer’s project. Students will create their
own outfit for the body figure they have on the copy. They will have to write a short description
of what their boy or girl is wearing. Once they finish writing their description, they´ll give their
picture to the teacher who will paste them on a poster for everybody to see. They´ll have to read
their description to their classmates. Their classmates will have to identify it on the poster.
Some students will be chosen to come up front and read it aloud. Teacher will clarify students
how to do it. Teacher will write on the blackboard “He is wearing ……../ She is wearing…..” and
will read one description she wrote about some clothes she designed. It will be a model for
students. The description the teacher wrote will be displayed on the board.

activity in which they will have to read the incomplete sentences related to the story “Danny’s
week” and complete them with the correct option. Students will work on the activity created by
the teacher with the HOT POTATOES JQUIZ tool. Students will share their choices aloud to make
sure if they all understood the story.
