1. Rearrange words into sentence correctly
2. Rearrange sentence strips according to the correct order
4. SET INDUCTION (3 minutes)
Firstly, teacher asks students to tell what are the pictures that they see
on the whiteboard (pictures fruits)
Teaching aid: Printed pictures; Fruits (Banana, Durian, Apple)
Rationale: To introduce the topic.
PRE-WRITING (10 minutes)
Teacher writes down an example question of a task that they will be
doing, which is arranging jumbled up words in a sentence, and explains
how they should be doing the activity.
Teaching aid: -
Rationale: To tell students how to do the upcoming activity
5. WHILE-WRITING (15 minutes)
Students work in groups of three and is given a task sheet containing 5
jumbled up words in sentences. They are to arrange the jumbled up
words correctly.
Teaching aid: Handout; Jumbled words
Rationale: To polish students’ writing skill specifically in arranging
sentences back to their correct order.
POST-WRITING (5 minutes)
Students work in the same groups of three. They are to check their
answers as the teacher discusses the answer in front of the class
Teaching aid: -
Rationale: To correct students’ errors.
CLOSURE (2 minutes)
Sum up the lesson by asking about what fruits that they have seen.
