1. Evaluation of trailer.
The aims of our production have gone very well. I worked in a
group on the production and I found working in a group a better
option as we all could give our ideas and then put them all
together to make one bigger and better idea. Decision making
when working in a group wasn’t always easy but in the end all
the right decisions were made in order to make our trailer great.
Learning how to use the software went very well, we adjusted to
using the effects, the text and the actual editing very quickly.
Also when organising when and where we would film went
exactly to plan. As a group we would see what days we were all
free and according to that decide on which days we would film,
and with location we also found that easy as each member of the
group could either give a location or think of one that went with
the trailer.
To help us reach the target of a horror movie trailer we
researched other horror movie trailers. The one I researched was
the trailer for the film sinister. In comparison to other horror
trailers our trailer is very similar. It uses the same sort of text,
effects, location, hints etc. We also did a survey on horror
trailers to help give us an idea of what we needed to include.
The target audience of the film would be a 15 certificate but we
have made the trailer a 12 certificate and the BBFC (British
board of film classification) would agree with this. We were
aware that our trailer can be a different age certificate to our
film. We did this by not showing anything too gory and by
having no bad language in the trailer. Our trailer would be
shown in a cinema before any types of film but mainly before
horror films and also before a film that has been certificated 12
or above.
