1. What have you learnt about
technologies from the process of
constructing this product?
2. For my double page spread of my magazine I used ‘Adobe
InDesign’. I had never used InDesign before so this was a
challenge for me. I played around with it from a while and
figured out a few simple skills on my own but I also watched
many youtube tutorials on how to use InDesign, these helped
me a lot. I needed to use InDesign for my double page spread
and not photoshop as I needed to use InDesign’s column
system plus InDesign allowed me to edit in more depth than
photoshop would.
3. Before creating my product I had never properly used a blog. Our blogs
were for uploading our final products and uploading research for our
magazines etc.
I now know how to upload things to my blog and edit the information
once it has uploaded. I also learnt how to use slideshare as this is
something I had never heard of until creating my product.
For my front cover and contents page I used photoshop. I was
familiar with photoshop but only to an extent. When I first began
studying media 2 years ago in year 10 I was taught some basic skills
of using photoshop, but as I hadn’t used it since then I had forgotten
quite a lot of them skills. So again I watched tutorials and figured
things out on my own. I found photoshop a lot easier to work with
than InDesign.
I also used photoshop to edit my pictures for my double page
spread. This is another thing I didn’t realise I could do. I have gained
a lot of knowledge of editing software from creating my media
product.
