In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products ?  ,[object Object]
 It is focused on the idea of global crisis. This ideas is based around the teaser trailers that we analyzed.
 These include the stereotypical  zombie sub-genre themes such as infection and danger.
 To connotate these ideas we used slow scenes which increased in speed to correlate with the accompanied tension that we wanted the audience the feel.   ,[object Object],  ,[object Object],  ,[object Object],[object Object]

The Outbreak - evaluation

  • 2. It is focused on the idea of global crisis. This ideas is based around the teaser trailers that we analyzed.
  • 3. These include the stereotypical zombie sub-genre themes such as infection and danger.

  • 7. Out of the 30 people that we asked (15 boys, 15 girls) the majority (mainly boys) went with the ‘Survival horror’ genre and the title ‘The Outbreak.’
  • 8. Being a group of boys this is the genre and title we used in our final product as we felt it was easier to connect to an audience of the same market segment as us.
  • 9.
  • 10. The Mac OS X is the main orchestrator towards our work. We did all our work on the software found on this computer.
  • 11. iMovie HD was used to produce the film. This helped as it provided us with a variety of editing options and different effects which featured heavily in our trailer.
  • 12. Blogger helped us present a timeline of the analysis of our work and helped store all our data.
  • 13. Mozilla Firefox/Camino was the ISP’s that allowed us onto such websites as blogger and Youtube and without these we wouldn’t have been able to do anything
  • 14. We filmed the all of our video on the DV video camera. With out this we wouldn’t have a video media product.
